I would strongly encourage anyone going through anything remotely like this to just accept the loss and move on. I just found out that my ex started dating someone shortly after we broke up. She too gave mixed messages. not to this extreme but enough to leave a bitter taste in my mouth. If someone can move on with someone else that quickly, it says so much more about them than it does about you. You'll work on your issues and become stronger and more attractive and knowledgeable. They more than likely will not. Remember that if they ever do revisit the idea. Though, again, I strongly encourage you to just move on. Waiting for someone else to change their mind is a slow death and in most cases, isn't even worth it. You deserve someone who wouldn't dream of leaving or replacing you.
A year ago my ex was in a new relationship. I was distraught when I found out. It only lasted two months but it was a long two months for me. That's the thing, there are chances that things can work with the new guy. But that shouldn't matter to you, because it's not your life anymore, you should focus on you and only you. 3 months after my breakup & my ex is still with the person she left in arms with. Hardest 3 months of my life but I can slowly sense myself picking it up, I’ve deleted all social media (apart from this) and I’m working out, concentrating on my career & practicing mindfulness every day. Its really scary when youve been with them long enough and you get older. As a person gets older they mightt choose to settle with anyone who's with them right now so thats the trigger of my anxiety even though they might not end up forever well there's still a chance they would and it sucks and hurts so bad.

Tbh whatever an ex does after a breakup is none of eithers business. Some people get into rebounds because they're inexperienced or aren't mature enough to deal with the pain. I've seen it happen. Doesn't last. Eventually everyone gets the one that was meant for them. So be kind to yourself and stay strong
I think it was my fault. We had a long distance relationship. I'm still very attached. I f**** up to be honest. I wasn't in a good place mentally and she was great. Scrolling through old messages makes me sick of myself. She broke up in April. I texted her every other month and she was either mad or cold. Or making fun of me. But she was right. RIP Margaret! Will miss your advise on life and relationships. This video summed up my ex who got engaged after a few weeks with the rebound and married after a few months then started to reach out and just didn’t know what she wanted. I had to walk away for my own mental health. Don’t have time and energy to get into a relationship with people who come from a broken family. A few months heartbreaks are better than a life long misery.

My ex (broken up a year & two months) wanted to take a 'break'. I heard from him two or three times a month after our break up. He needed 'time' to get himself together to be a better man for me, didn't feel good enough for me, needed to find his own apartment (lived with family), needed to be single, etc. He was grasping at straws but gave me a bunch of different reasons for the break. I never reached out (I have a lot of pride). I found out in July that he had gotten back with his ex of four years (the woman he was with before me) and was moving in with her and also planning to have a child. I initially felt hurt to think that the very plans we discussed he was now putting into motion less than a year later with an ex who he swore he would never have anything to do with again. Needed this tonight. My ex had/has (haven't talked to him in 7 month) low self esteem and is in a new relationship that boggles my mind. Early 30’s just like my ex. My ex doesn’t like to be alone She would actually call her ex “crazy Steve”. I would walk in and she would stay on the phone with him. Her guy friends that she would talk to every-once in awhile. She would talk for a few minutes when I walked in and then get off the phone Oh, I forgot to mention that she sadly is an alcoholic. She washed 6 loads of laundry. I did it all, cooked cleaned shipped And yes, I even do windows. End result is, living with an alcoholic is like walking on eggshells. The next day, it’s like nothing ever happened Lesson is, breakups are painful. I’m now 53, and wasted two years of my life with a 32 year old who is smart, artistic, creative articulate beautiful to mention a few. But In the end, she was never ready for a relationship She truly needs to fix herself before she goes back into a relationship. Me, I’m fine. The videos have helped me quite a bit.

The only thing anyone should be doing is thank God you are no longer with this person. They do it like a cat in a litter box to cover up their old crap. They do it usually with an excuse on why they are justified to move on quickly. However in reality where healthy people live it not necessarily not looks pathetic it also shows others how this individual acts in their pathology. The only thing you should be thinking about is in a third person view on how this looks. Remove your feelings because those belong to that individual. They do not live in reality thus not seeing how they actually are. A true person suffering from NPD or some sort of cluster B.

In fact, in the last two years I have tried several times to implement no contact, but every time she showed up again I fell for it, without ever achieving anything. So she has always considered me present in her life, because she knows that as soon as she says something I am available, she has never experienced what it means to "lose me". Do you think I still have any hope? Does the fact that she is now in love with another person eliminate any hope? Could a longer no contact be of any use?

I was good friends with this very reserved and conservative girl for for 3 years then got together for the next 5 years (high school sweet hearts), and in less than a week after she moved on to another dude and almost got pregnant. He says that he already loves her in that short time. SO many more red flags, but it's surely the rebound effect hitting her. Yep there are definitely psychological things at play here. Hardest 3 months of my life but I can slowly sense myself picking it up, I’ve deleted all social media (apart from this) and I’m working out, concentrating on my career & practicing mindfulness every day. Its really scary when youve been with them long enough and you get older. As a person gets older they mightt choose to settle with anyone who's with them right now so thats the trigger of my anxiety even though they might not end up forever well there's still a chance they would and it sucks and hurts so bad.
@@bikepacker87 what actually scares me the most is how quickly someone can move on and suddenly just erase the future we were dreaming together. I would never take him back, so mine is just a reflection of my situation and many others who find themselves in similar circumstances.

Tbh whatever an ex does after a breakup is none of eithers business. Some people get into rebounds because they're inexperienced or aren't mature enough to deal with the pain. I've seen it happen. Doesn't last. Eventually everyone gets the one that was meant for them. So be kind to yourself and stay strong

RIP Margaret! Will miss your advise on life and relationships. This video summed up my ex who got engaged after a few weeks with the rebound and married after a few months then started to reach out and just didn’t know what she wanted. I had to walk away for my own mental health. Don’t have time and energy to get into a relationship with people who come from a broken family. The title drew me because it happened to me. Yes it's been brutal but I'm getting there. Watched the rest of this video, when I got a whiff of what he was doing I was out and stayed out. Thank you both.
My ex (broken up a year & two months) wanted to take a 'break'. I heard from him two or three times a month after our break up. He needed 'time' to get himself together to be a better man for me, didn't feel good enough for me, needed to find his own apartment (lived with family), needed to be single, etc. He was grasping at straws but gave me a bunch of different reasons for the break. I never reached out (I have a lot of pride). I found out in July that he had gotten back with his ex of four years (the woman he was with before me) and was moving in with her and also planning to have a child. I initially felt hurt to think that the very plans we discussed he was now putting into motion less than a year later with an ex who he swore he would never have anything to do with again. I felt a lot of different things but in the end I realized that this says more about him than it could ever say about me and my worth
this just got dropped on me after a month of breaking up. originally she said that she didnt want a relationship. I went no contact for a week, she reached out and told me, she said she started dating this guy and said she was sorry it was so soon after we broke up. i respectfully said i wished her the best, i still care about you but i need space. its gonna be rough, but im gonna focus on self development and improvement.

Needed this tonight. My ex had/has (haven't talked to him in 7 month) low self esteem and is in a new relationship that boggles my mind. I am reminding myself that his actions and behavior is more of a reflection of him then me. Learned from some mutual friends he is doing behavior that is very uncharacteristic of him so I figure he is going through a midlife crisis. End result is, living with an alcoholic is like walking on eggshells. When she would get drunk, either she wanted sex, which I would t give her. Then she would get aggressive physically with me and throw me out. The next day, it’s like nothing ever happened Lesson is, breakups are painful. I’m now 53, and wasted two years of my life with a 32 year old who is smart, artistic, creative articulate beautiful to mention a few. But In the end, she was never ready for a relationship She truly needs to fix herself before she goes back into a relationship. Me, I’m fine. The videos have helped me quite a bit.

The only thing anyone should be doing is thank God you are no longer with this person. They do it like a cat in a litter box to cover up their old crap. They do it usually with an excuse on why they are justified to move on quickly. However in reality where healthy people live it not necessarily not looks pathetic it also shows others how this individual acts in their pathology. The only thing you should be thinking about is in a third person view on how this looks. Remove your feelings because those belong to that individual. They do not live in reality thus not seeing how they actually are. A true person suffering from NPD or some sort of cluster B.
Hi Coach! I can’t seem to find a video on what to do when your ex is contacting you regularly (like multiple direct indirect approaches, always an excuse to talk). We never hang out or talk about anything of much substance, but it is often something we both liked and things we have in common.

I dated this girl for 5 years, during which time we never got engaged because I didn't want to, but she was in love with me and i think she really was. I went abroad to live and in the meantime she found someone else. All this two years ago. She then decided to stay with him and end things with me. But while she was dating him, however, every now and then he looked for me (probably when things with him was getting worse).
After about a year, however, HE ended the relationship with her and she suffered a lot according to what friends said because she had fallen in love with him.
In these two years she has always told me that there can no longer be anything between us, yet every two months she shows up again and something happens between us. Or we hang out and kiss, like last Sunday. However, every time I take a step towards her she no longer responds and disappears.
I think she's still in love with the guy she found while I was abroad, even if she doesn't want to admit it to anyone. She still sees him for sporting activities. In fact, in the last two years I have tried several times to implement no contact, but every time she showed up again I fell for it, without ever achieving anything.
So she has always considered me present in her life, because she knows that as soon as she says something I am available, she has never experienced what it means to "lose me".

Hi both of you. Great video, however can you please elaborate on the "exs" behavior. At about 9 minute mark you are reading an email. The ex seems to not be able to decide. Odd behavior. My ex has done similar so trying to understand her conflict.
