Best laptop for home stereo. Very impressed with the way it sounds when I connect it with my PC stereo system. The speakers on the laptop is also not bad even though it could be louder. The one thing that really disappoints me is the lack of keyboard backlighting. Its 2023 and no laptop should be sold without a built in keyboard backlighting. I would have returned it if not for the impressive sound on my home stereo. The other negatives are mostly about the keyboard. It feels cheap and not even close to the typing experience of the T series. Also replacing it is a nightmare. Basically one has to disassemble the whole laptop. A step in the wrong direction. we love Lenovo because its easily repairable. This one is definitely not easily repairable.
@@ARNBNDL Check online and see for yourself. Very disappointed. Previous Thinkpads are not as hard. A few screws and you're done. The E15 requires removing the motherboard to replace the keyboard. The typing experience is also not as good as my T440s. But even with all that I will still still keep the E15 and mainly because of the sound and especially when connected to my home stereo via QUAD DAC. Not sure what Lenovo did but the sound is incredible. BTW if you own the E15 try turning off Dolby when listening on the laptop speakers. Sounds better in my opinion. Its the opposite for my T440s which sounds way better with Dolby on.
@@muhammad-bin-american Reparability is an issue, sure. Get a Framework laptop if you want good reparability. Even ThinkPads are just becoming IdeaPads in a different shell now. There are E15's with a backlit keyboard, you just have to watch out when buying them in the Lenovo shop. There are multiple different and models and some of them don't make sense at all.
I've checked the published spec sheets. The AMD variant has a m.2 2242 and a 2280 slots. The Intel variant has x 2 m.2 2242 slots. It's very odd. Given that the 2242 size is difficult to find, I will be getting the AMD variant. Thank you for this video. It's been very helpful for me
I was so mad after buying this and finding it doesn’t have a backlit keyboard for a 2022 business laptop is crazy, no finger print no windows hello. Piece of junk, would have to resell or return it back. 😢 A big turn off from lenovo, never buying their products ever again.

@@wintersoldier346 hi , i return this laptop because from Lenovo says its oki to be hot.I got MSI and i am happy with it. Dual fan , very good design and smooth operations.will make new video soon. I used openshot for videos,no harm no warm. Great laptop from Msi.
in this model is a charging port & thunderbolt 4 is the same single port or different. I need 1 charging port & 1 thunderbolt separate (to connect the external display) this is my main requirement . which latest model has these separate ports. pls tell
The top configuration comes with a 28W Core i7-1260P and 25W GeForce MX550. The configuration we've tested has an i7-1255U (15W TDP) but works at 3.44 GHz @ 78°C @ 43W for short 100% loads.

This channel is really the best laptop review channel out there. Keep up the good work!
how to distinguish ips from tn before web-order?
models have any differences in name?

E15 starting from gen3 is very good laptops for work.
That's right, maybe not for color-sensitive work, but it's a reliable machine for office tasks 👍

no support for M.2 2280 is a big negative for me.

You can get this laptop at Lenovo with an AMD 2.70 base frequency only using 15 watts
It seems Ryzen use less power than Alder Lake on mobile device. Thanks for sharing!
hi there , I just purchase E15 gen4- intel i5-new processor
Its getting hot , and fan working hard ,only from web browsing
anyone have same problem?
did you find the solution?

I have the same problem with E15 3 gen, R5

They're the same. Thunderbolt can handle both charging and display out at the same time
We bought 4 of these and the battery drains within 2 1/2 hours with normal office work. Frustrating.
A thinkpad being “flimsy… not durable” wut?
It's the E series, it's the cheapest
Good review
Thanks!
is the IPS only 52% sRGB? They are advertised as 100% sRGB
Depends on the display option you choose
que bonita la E15
What is the TDP?
