Subbed. Very interesting channel. I just bought a 13 ft tandem kayak for the family. Made a weak motor mount and found out I 100% need an outrigger. Can't wait to make a setup like this
Takes a while to build it up but maybe a clipping system would be a better ( for instance an upside U on the end of the decks could snap into position and would stay there unless it was taken out in force 8 gale) -a far quicker and easier option.
I've had several clients with that boat use my outriggers. This will change the way you use it and where you will go too. Two sided kit would make it stable enough for open water.
@@ExpandacraftboatsI had my SoloSkiff 8 miles off shore. It handled it well but I wouldn’t do it again. With these outriggers it would be super stable in big rollers. Love the design.
might consider fiberglass extruded tubing or other non corroding materials. Have used a resin-fiberglass tube in construction, was very strong, and drilled/cut nice probably similar in weight to alum. I googled it many sources what size tubing is this system? 1.5" or2"?
3-M makes a non slip pad to stick to the deck which is shiny and new, you can have this rig set up on the trailer and launch just like a Job boat, it's more stable than a Jon boat and you can always use the kayak by itself if you want to get into tight spaces where a Jon boat cant go. To each their own.
so a while back i bought the single, 12 foot outrigger but all other parts weren’t available yet. i was wondering if all other parts that i need besides the outrigger are available now for me to order? and if not then if you don’t mind i would like to know all parts and pieces that i will need to get.
This craft is not only more stable than a Jonboat, you can still use it without the outrigger if you want to get into the tight mangroves, or for whatever reason. That's the real draw.
I like that this makes for a much more stable craft. Also great for kayak camping and bringing your old lady on board.

I have a Solo Skiff with 5hp outboard motor.
Your product would probably work great on these crafts.

Neat idea, a little color coding would simplify the assembly process.
I was thinking installing those on my pelican bass raider.
Let me know when you're ready. I'll be doing a loop of Florida in June, maybe you can catch me along the way.
I want these in my Jackson take two.
Instant catamaran. These are cool. Just need a quick connect system.

1.5
You should get screws with handles so you can tighten it with just using your hands.
Horrible contraption.
That deck is BRIGHT and HOT !
Meanwhile, a 14' jon boat was launched 30 minutes ago and has dry feet with 3 fish in the boat.

I have everything in stock except the aluminum decking which I hope to have in a week
@@Expandacraftboats alright sweet i’m going to order some right now. thank you.
Just email me. I have stock
Where to get the outriggers please?
Expandacraft.com
I meant a knob not handle.
Yes, yes, yes yeah bc the idea of flipping the kayak is not funny at all
At this point, just by a jonboat
