I have the same problem on my gsummits! The toe welts cracked not even 20 days in! completely insane, i'm unsure if it compromises the waterproofing as well.
DUDE! No way!! That's crazy that your G-Summits cracked, because I've been speculating for a while now that the G-Summit would run into the same problems as the G-Tech. And you just totally confirmed my suspicion. Insane is correct! And I would be definitely curious to see if waterproofing is affected by the cracks. My thought is that our boots probably started cracking around the same time, or in this case same conditions. I put it right around mid January for mine as that's when we got hit with -20F weather here in NW Montana (Whitefish specifically), and I'm gonna guess you probably saw some of that weather while climbing in the G-Summits
Three weeks ago I went to buy them on the official website and a day later they no longer had them for sale. I contacted them and apparently they said that they do not have any left in stock, which is why they have removed that model from sale...
I think the answer to your cracking toe welts lies in your dart review. I suspect there will be more cracking and breaking in the G line up. This boot is la sportivas equivalent of the Scarpa phantom which had a sole that wore out in a winter season. In Scotland the walk ins are usually 3 hours for short climbs so any boot must have a durable sole too cope with 6 hrs of walking, I wear Nepal's for this reason.

compromise has been filling all the cracks with superglue, not sure if it's helping but they haven't gotten any worse

Fuuuuck. I was going to buy them this season because everything about them sounded perfect. Luckily for me almost everywhere were sold out...

Also say that I bought them on a Finnish website that apparently had that model and size. Let's see what they tell me.

La Sportiva pls fix
Unfortunately there's a price for everything, saving ounces adds up in material integrity
