- The return of Leo Fong! A failed Harry Potter ripoff that wouldn't play in the VCR! A robot in the family! And monster ganstas! This episode has all those things and less!
Leo Fong is just playing Fallout New Vegas and abandoning the main quest when he feels like it. The main quest only resumes when he returns.

I'd like to think Rich will always laugh like a man in his late 20s, even when he's at the age Mike would mock him.

Him also sleeping and then jerking awake during the werewolf movie made me laugh so hard.
Jack's expressions make the videos for me. He looks always so embarrassed and horrified.
His reaction to Faust is amazing too hahahaha
I love the guests that appear on BotW, but sometimes it feels comforting just to have the original Jay/Mike/Rich/Josh/Jack line up.
Those were my exact thoughts as the episode wrapped up. Classic BOTW.

@OnlyCaleb I agree, though Freddie and Tim are also pretty hilarious dudes and I'm pretty stoked whenever they're guests

Agreed! There's something about when the old stalwarts are together... must be a Milwaukee thing... although I WOULD like to see a BOTW episode where Len Kabasinski, Neil Breen, Dave Wascavage, and Shoji Tabuchi watch and have a panel discussion about Space Cop. That would be amazing.
Rich saying “I understand my fate” is the equivalent to Mike’s “it’s like the moments leading up to an execution”.

John Rhys Davies left the 3rd season of the television series "Sliders" because he was disappointed with the decreasing quality of the show's scripts. He apparently had no such misgivings about "Robot In The Family".
Robot in The Family technically does not decrease in quality. It is a constant barrage of loud noise, very consistent.
Extremely wild to me given that I’m a little obsessed with sliders and it’s always been bad 😅 like a lot of those season 1 episodes have some really dumb writing

HOLY SHIT!!!!! My best friends dad made the movie "robot in the family" I used to see that robot in the house everytime I came over lol. if anyone from redlettermedia is reading this I can get in contact with them.

Apparently, according to the director's own commentary on the original script he was handed (real interesting story, as someone else mentioned you can find it by googling Jack Shaoul) the original script was like 100x worse and was especially hateful of Jews, probably due to the background of the crazed, now jailed, man who financed and wrote the thing.

Yeah, regarding Robot in the Family: there's a special level of bad in filmmaking that someone really needs to investigate in depth. Like Mike said, people always bring up "fun" bad, but there's a subcategory of b-movies which is rarely addressed and goes beyond autistic genius and into borderline torture device.
