    I got a tip you will love and I believe it states it on the tube. When you are done leave the tip on. Next time it will twist right off and add a new tip and you are good to go. I never would use it because I thought I would have to use it all.

    Hi All, I've become a big fan of Total boat Thixo Epoxy. I like it because it's easy to work with and has a long open time. This is the third project I've used it on and will continue to use on all exterior glue-ups. This video is not sponsored, Thixo is just what I use and recommend for exterior glue-ups.
    hope this video was helpful, Jon

    I find there is no need to remove the mixing tip after use. Leave it on and let it harden into it's own cap.

      Hey Jay, true I didn’t think of that … Derek also pointed that out . I might need to make another video 😬😄👍

    ok i have a Question , should the wood be wet out first with regular epoxy and then use the thickened epoxy because it seems wetting out with regular epoxy first it will soak into the fibers of the wood

    how does it compare to the solid surface epoxy? or is it just regular epoxy with a lot of filler to make it thick

    • @JonPetersArtHome
      @JonPetersArtHome  3 года назад

      The latter, the thick makes it easier to work with IMO

    That's a lot of working time. One advantage is that once the material starts going through the tip, the material in the tip will harden so don't start that process until you are ready to use the epoxy. The thickness of this material seems very good- normal epoxy is like honey, after you start using it it will flow and ooze and get everywhere. This stuff looks to be much easier to work with.

      Definitely! One mistake I made in the video is… It’s better to leave the mixing tip on after use and it will easily unscrew for the next time. A friend with a little more experience explained it to me
