Hot glue is great too for things like jigs when CA glue can sometimes fail.

Agh! I forgot about hot glue. I rarely use it but you are absolutely right! Good call!

Really enjoyed the video, I use CA glue with Star accelerator, 3M 77 spray adhesive, Tite Bond 2 and 3, 2 for when it doesn't need to be waterproof and is a little cheaper than 3, and hot glue once in a while. I need to get some black CA glue. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for the video, I need to get my hands on some epoxy, and the other types of CA glue.

I put a coupon code in the description if you want to save a few bucks on epoxy. I don't receive any kickback from it. I asked Total Boat to give a code to hook people up. And I seriously can't work without ca glue.

The gel ca glue is handy for filling voids or on vertical surfaces. ca debonder is pretty neat but you just end up almost never using it.

You know, I can't say that I've ever used debonder. To the Google!...

@@NewtonMakes I got some after gluing my fingers together the FIRST time. My fine motor skills aren’t stellar. Thanks for all your responses and vids. I learn a lot from you

Great overview. I was wondering about epoxy and it’s use so I appreciate your example. I really like medium CA glue but on smaller pieces it tends to ooze out so I’ve ordered thin for that. I assume you use a lot of thin with your scroll saw gluing? Or do you use regular wood glue? Seems like it would be less strong using only CA glue? 🤷‍♀️

I'm sort of debating this exact question myself. I just finished up a piece that I didn't film (I'll post a picture on my community page) in which I used a combo of medium ca glue and wood glue depending on the size of each piece. I prefer wood glue because it's stronger but it does seem like ca glue is good for tiny pieces or hard to clean up areas like when you glue pieces close together and can't reach in to clean up the glue squeeze out. I didn't try thin ca glue yet but plan to. I made a sign a few videos back in which I used ca glue for the whole thing and it's still awesome looking. No issues with strength or letters falling off. That was a really long winded way of saying I'm not sure which is best to use at this point so I'm trying different options. 🤣
