    A lot of this information I learned from UADs RUclips tutorials. But having a UAD and manually adjusting the settings is the best part imo. I can understand why people would want to just have presets already established though.

    🏆Thanks Steve! .. Quick question what do you like about Event 20/20 monitors ?

    • @TheSteveKinney
      @TheSteveKinney  2 года назад

      I think they have a phenomenally clear top end.
      And Great bass response in the right room.
      Never have failed me. Nothing spectacular- nothing particularly bad.
      Just solid.

      @@TheSteveKinney Ok thank you, because I always wondered why they became non existent, dope monitors and even more if it was just myself with the same sentiments. I own a pair as well non powered. Thanks for the response appreciate the knowlege...subbed ofcourse!
      Ps...if you have a power amp recommendation ...I'll take it🙏🏿🏆

      @@chrisdavis9135 I use an old crown D60.
      Does the job better than all the others. You can find them pretty reasonably cheap.
      Or any crown model that is similar works great.

    Hey Steve, thanks for taking time to explain and help us use the LA2a Levelers. Would suggest you level your voice on the next videos because when you move your head away from the camera, the voice drops couple of DB, and when you turn the head again toward the cam it raises quite fast and its very noticable. Anyways, thanks again and please keep posting such content. Cheers

      It’s so funny too. Cause it’s the content that is important - not the audio quality lol but yeah.
      I always found that if I slam my talking head audio that it becomes exhausting to listen to. So I don’t mind some of the dynamics.
      Cheers mate!

    Wow! Bro did you use a Arri Alexa to record this clip, it has a feature film cinematic look to it.

    • @TheSteveKinney
      @TheSteveKinney  Год назад

      Haha 😅 wow thanks so much! Coolest compliment I’ve gotten yet.
      Answer. Nope. I’m just a film nerd. I absolutely love filmmaking. And I try hard to get this kind of look with everything I film.
      I don’t always nail it. This one came out pretty good though.
      Just a combination of lighting for this look, white balance. And then the grade.
      It’s just your typical Sony a7iii

    Which one do you use the most on lead vocals?

    • @TheSteveKinney
      @TheSteveKinney  2 года назад

      I find myself using the grey a lot.
      But again - as I say, if you’re not sure what to use, audition. That is the correct answer.
      It’s different per song, per singer, per tempo etc
      Great question! Cheers!
