A lot of this information I learned from UADs RUclips tutorials. But having a UAD and manually adjusting the settings is the best part imo. I can understand why people would want to just have presets already established though.
Hey Steve, thanks for taking time to explain and help us use the LA2a Levelers. Would suggest you level your voice on the next videos because when you move your head away from the camera, the voice drops couple of DB, and when you turn the head again toward the cam it raises quite fast and its very noticable. I don’t always nail it. This one came out pretty good though. Just a combination of lighting for this look, white balance. And then the grade. It’s just your typical Sony a7iii
I think they have a phenomenally clear top end. And Great bass response in the right room. Never have failed me. Nothing spectacular- nothing particularly bad. Just solid.

@@chrisdavis9135 I use an old crown D60. Does the job better than all the others. You can find them pretty reasonably cheap. Or any crown model that is similar works great.
I find myself using the grey a lot. But again - as I say, if you’re not sure what to use, audition. That is the correct answer. It’s different per song, per singer, per tempo etc Great question! Cheers!
