How to remove handles and replace the tap cartridge in the Bristan Echo / Echo Easy Fit Kitchen Mixer Monobloc tap.
This can be done easily without the need to call a plumber. Follow our step by step guide.
If your tap is dripping or leaking out of the spout then it is time to replace / change the quarter turn ceramic disc cartridges. Original spare part codes known by 2998827200. Unlike other suppliers our cartridges come with new brass screw. hot and cold valve replacements available

Cartridge has 20 teeth on spline. You will require our Anticlockwise open cartridge for the cold side, and clockwise open for the hot side, If you require both then you can select "Pair"

Hi, I recently purchased the cartridges and they have stopped the dripping thankfully, however the cold tap which is the one I replaced is quite stiff is this normal or any suggestions on how to fix this? thanks

Missed two tings.
Turn off water SUPPLY TO TAP. as necessary. Usually the 1/4 turn ball valve under the sink using a screwdriver. . Put plug in in case bits fall into the sink. ........... Three things... Lose the loud and distracting "music" so people can concentrate on the job. THanks.

Not sure how you can tell which of the two tap cartridges would need replacing.

Hi there you will need to isolate the supply to the hot / cold using isolation valves under the sink.

Should you replace both cartridges if the tap is dripping?

Hi Jonathan, most plumbers would change both valves as they are already doing one but alternatively you can work out which valve is dripping by isolating one tap under the sink and seeing if it still drips.
