If you put the springs between the screws and the bridge plate with the screw half-way forward, problem solved.
It loses a little treble and the strings go very smooth. Still, 12th fret matches the loose string.
I have a 4 string mikro and have the same issue- D and G strings are in an adjustable range but E and A are way sharp w/ saddles maxed. Was thinking of doing exactly what you did here, glad to see someone has already done it. I would like to have seen a follow-up however...
I have a 4 string mikro, and I'm running into the same problem! Shaving down the screws is a good tip. Doesn't look like there's too much room to move the bridge down any.
The main thing that has to happen is that the contact point for the saddle needs to move back to where it will intonate. If you can't do it one way, another will need be used. You do what works best in a given situation to get the result you need.

question, my low e-d(6 string guitar) are still flat..I've moved the saddles as far forward as possible...do I need to plug(tun o matic) and redrill one side(e-d) closer to the neck? I know logically that would help...the g-e saddles (high strings) still have a good amount of space to adjust..so I am guessing moving one side forward 1/8 inch(3mm-ish)...
I'd really like an opinion before I just plug it, tape it and re-drill it.
I have a 4 string Mikro with intonation problem. The open strings are in tune and in tune at 12th fret, but off between the first and 5-7 frets, I did notice the problem you mentioned about the length of adjustment screws at bridge. Could this be causing the problem and should I cut the screws to compensate?.
Hard to say. Intonation is never going to be spot on on a fretted instrument, but you can get close by matching the octave. If the octave is matched, then it's probably something else, possibly endemic.
What if i cut the sleeve off the saddle? Drill a hole, so the screw can go all the way through? I have a tap and die set if necessary if i mess up any threads.
If that solution will work and look good, I'd say give it a go.

idk if you know anything about electric guitars but i pulled the block things that hold the strings on the bridge off bc i thoughti needed them off to change strings and now i'm scared that i broke my guitar or made it out of tune
Thats an easy way to mess with a lot of things. Get them on in the right order and intonate, or take it to a shop for a setup.
This is really weird... Ibanez guitars and basses are generally pretty well made. This is just unacceptable, no instrument should leave factory without being properly inspected!
