I agree with you. If i owned a company i would let someone like Chris review it, not on stream or anything like that but to see how to improve it.
I always wonder why they dont see the points Chris is mentioning. Some are really cheap to fix and make it an almost perfect budget laptop.
@@luukverhoek4243 pretty sure some companies don't like having their devices cons exposed to the public, specially for those who are not tech savvy. I just appreciate his honesty and his "Linux compatibility".. plus the charge and discharge time. Most reviewers will leave that behind if it's not favorable. As having him consult your company, yeah I guess you'd hire him as a consultant, for a price.

Great review as usual. Both these lappys seem a bit flawed. personally I'd go for something like that Acer Swift 1 instead. You can usually find them on sale and they'rea better all round laptop.
Looking forward for full review. Especially Linux boot part. It's pretty hard to buy cheap Linux-compatible laptop that can run heavy software at decent speed. =_=

noticed that 'awkward' position of charging port & usb 3. should be better if the charging port is above the usb 3, not between hdmi & usb 3 because the charger might disturb the connection

I have one of these laptops. Seems to work perfectly. However the screen is horrendously reflective. All I can see is my head. Had to remove the second screen protector due to loads of dust trapped under it. :( Has anyone had any experience fitting anti glare filter films?

Their one step forward, one step back (RAM up, screen not fully laminated) leads me to think it's somehow intentional. The perfect one might never come at all!
Always the case it seems. Does seem almost intentional, but maybe the RAM cost + Win 10 licensing for 8GB meant they had to cut corners and go with a non-laminated screen. Windows charges a massive $40 USD more for 8GB RAM per laptop than 4GB.

@@Techtablets Not everybody needs Windows: It's a shame that they had to cut costs on screen because of windows license. I was waiting for this one, but without a good screen It's not an option for me.

Even though it's the same ODM, why on earth did teclast decide to go with the reflective logo? Am not really a big fan of the form factor, already there seem to be quality control issues!
Yes they should have left it black like Chuwi did. But also get a OGS screen not non-laminated. So far using it it's not a deal breaker at least I removed that ugly screen protector. Blacklight is a bit uneven on my keyboard
Once the chuwi se with 8gb comes out, compare the two chuwi and this directly (with and without OC)
Yes it's either the lapbook SE with 8GB or The lapbook Pro with thin bezels which might be the best model.
Laptop looks kool ,I think Teclast build quality is lil better than others. My M5S Tab purchase from BG was a disaster , top two three row pixel layers of display r dimmer than rest of the display. It may be my unit .hope u r X works fine because of the OLED.
Can be a lottery, you clearly got a faulty screen there, my X is running fine so far (Touch wood)

great charger with EU plug - much more useable.
But I hate to see to see a palm rest out of plastic in a full metall body cause this will later cause aging cause sweat is always agressive and will change the colour of that plastic first. And you look on it day by day and you feel it day by day.
Same is for the display which seems to be a bit colourless.
Anyway, good start in the new season I guess.
Yes, 100% all metal would have been better. So far this finish on my Lapbook SE is holding up just fine, but this is only after about 4 months.

I really really REALLY wish chuwi made a Xiaomi air 13 "clone" as in, a Lapbook air 14 inches with a core i5 8th gen and a MX150 BUT this time, with at least one usb-c port then, they could release like a refresh of the Lapbook SE with at least an i3 and the silver Lapbook air's amazing keyboard.

im buying a laptop, with i3 7100u and 940mx. 4gb ram, 1tb hdd. its priced at 15 000 pesos, which is around $300. but theres an offer for i3 7100u and mx 150 . 4gb ram, 1tb hdd for 20 000 pesos, which is around $400

Let's hope it will NOT have that freezeing issue - quite a lot of "not Pro" F7 does.
unlock power limit, max everything in the power settings and lower animations, mine is very fast no freezings, use opera as browser

@@PawelTabor NO issies here. Normally freezing issues (Had it on a Dell Venue 11 Pro) is a faulty SSD.

I expected to be as good as the "old" f7, but the screen and the keyboard are quite meh...

it is cheap and powerful enough
I still would buy cube mix plus with the core m....way better in graphics... and it is cheap with nice display..
For basic web browsing and document editing, you'd opt for a low powered cheap laptop. Why would you pay $1,000 just for web browsing? It's all about what you do with a laptop.
Who needs more for office tasks and youtube or video ?
Imagine it dies, fells of the desk gets hit and has simply died !
Then you thank for every single $ you saved on purchase.
If customers wouldn't want and buy these devices they would not exist.
And due to high demand we have a huge variety of choice in most cases ... and now even in the N4100 area an 8 GB modell with 128 GB SSD instead these former 64 GB mmc rubbisch with too tiny hatches .... now even the long SSD will fit in without destroying anything or any need for a hack as in the past.
Because budget. That's why.

Hahaha, it's what I do. Someone has to give them an honest review. Most reviews you find are often from retailers claiming everything is amazing and perfect
