Great review, again. Really want this Teclast F15, but you're right, it just seems way too expensive at the moment. As someone mentions, for only slightly more you can pick up a branded laptop (hp, Acer, etc) with similar spec, and sometimes even better! Lack of Type-C still seems like a glaring omission at this price point. Can't help but feel like brands such as Teclast, Chuwi, etc are losing their "budget" appeal as even the base models of theirs are coming in at similar prices to similar spec laptops which are already available to purchase by major brands. Bring back the days of sub $250 Chinese laptops!
@@Rinriji Stays relatively cool. Of course long intense hours, it's get warm in a particularly area (where the battery is located). But ensure the bottom gets proper ventilation and it'll be fine. As I said, I've had it for over a year now and it works perfectly fine.
So, other than that half size up/down arrow keys, the screen would also be a showstopper for me. Been using a 100% sRGB screen reaching 300 nits, I don't think I can downgrade to this one.
Man, if only one of the Chinese players would just make a bright screen, I'm sold. Outdoor work on my EZ Book can be impossible. Considering getting one of those outdoor brick things from Dell but they are heavy! Pull your socks up China!
Great review. I hope that Laptop manufacturers start sticking to 2280 only as that has become the most used size, and it should be more or less standard now. A smaller size is only needed where you can not fit that larger size but I wish these manufacturers would do anything to avoid using a odd size M.2 card.

Always return to your channel when I need a tech overhaul. This Macbook Air 2010 is slow as hell and my Haier 2010 Celeron CloudReady/Linux wifi seems to have died. So really need cheap alternative to a LG Gram/Asus ZenBook/MateBook under $300. Circa 14" will do, plus good road warrior battery life and zippy (min 4GB RAM). Can you recommend anything? Seen a FUSION 5 on Amazon $199 but never heard of them. Thx

Gemini Lake's standard is $ 300 or more RAM6GB and PowerDelivery charge and IPS LCD. If you are in the $ 400 range, you can not compete because the Xiaomi 12.5 inch will be in competition.

My Teclast F15 is now two and a half years old. A good looking and performing machine but plagued by quality issues. The right hand hinge broke away from the screen about six months ago, plus the shift key is faulty. Both Teclast and Chuwi could be great if hinge issues, etc were sorted out. UK July 2021.

So the chuwi areobook is smaller than the techlast f15 And chuwi has 2,0 mega pixel camera But the teclast f15 has only 1,0 Teclast f15 a bit longer battery life CHUWI has a thin keyboard like the mac books

Nice but compared to what you can get at the price for a second hand laptop with a proper cpu this just makes absolutely no sense at all sadly, just too under powered.
nothing is as described. the base is plastic, vinyl, which breaks very quickly and falls into pieces. it's impossible to use, but the machine is good, you can't put it away because it will fall apart. I just bought CHUWI, which has an aluminum base. EU.
Tool Biigg track pad, I think if this device has a track pad along the spacebar plus one button like it would be better, but for the size seen in this review video it is too long for the track pad size 👍.

That is the problem with these Chinese laptops. We can get 8th gen i3 based laptop in same price from HP or Acer. Why would anyone buy this laptop at such price? If it was below $300, then more people would think of buying.
@@dukernuker3844 Well this is a very low powered laptop. Such low powered laptops are not pricey, from any manufacturer(maybe except Sony). Lenovo has a model IdeaPad 120s which is pretty similar to this one. It costs just $300.

Do not buy this laptop, it comes with a defective keyboard, and will result in a 'ghostpress' character issue, where a randomly selected character is continuously pressed, making your laptop effectively useless. And you won't get support nor a replacement keyboard for your device...

Tested Photoshop it's okay for minor work. But slow at times and with many layers and filters etc. Passable but not amazing

Why is the brightness measured in lumens? That's not a useful measure of luminance when talking about screens
