  • This is ‘Exploring with Cindy and Dan’, today we are in the port of call of Nassau, Bahamas on our Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas. This is our 3rd day of our 4-Night Bahamas and Perfect Day at Coco Cay cruise.
We arrived at Nassau at around 8 am on Wednesday, December 6 of 2023. We docked at Prince George Wharf Dock located in the heart of Nassau. Nassau is one of the most popular cruise ship destinations in the world and many of the worlds cruise liners dock at Prince George Dock. The temperature was between 73-75 degrees Fahrenheit or 22-24 degrees Celsius. Passengers had to be back at 4:30 pm or before.
The cruise port is about 10-minute walk from downtown Nassau. Once you leave the port and pier, you will find many taxis, shore excursions booths and information areas about Nassau.
Nassau Cruise port is the cruising gateway to the historic and vibrant city of Nassau. As I mentioned before, Nassau is one of the most popular and busiest cruise destinations in the world. It attracts over 3.7 millions passengers per year. This city is served by three of the largest and busiest cruise ports in the world (Port of Miami, Port Everglades and port Canaveral) within easy cruising distance. Nassau is located 50 miles southeast of the coast of Florida.

Thank you so much. When we started cruising nobody had videos like that so we thought we could start sharing our experiences on the channel to help out people…Nassau is very pretty.
We’ve been there multiple times and we always find something new

That’s awesome. We do love the Carnival Dream. We’ve cruised with them from Long Beach (Ensenada) and from New Orleans (México and Freeport and Nassau). Have a safe and fun cruise!!!

I was trying to find the weather advisory for Nassau but I don’t see it anymore. I am guessing you should be fine if you are going there next week. Positive thoughts !!!! Have a good and safe time there

I was in Nassau in 2003, 6 days/ 5 nights, and had a good time. I did some offshore fishing while there.

That’s nice. It was our second time in Nassau but we can’t really appreciate everything Nassau has to offer on a cruise. We will try and spend some time there without a cruise ship sometime in the future. Thank you for your comment

@exploringwithcindyanddan you will enjoy it. Having time constraints takes the fun out of going, I am sure of that.

Yes it does. Just 5-6 hours in port is never enough.

What time did you get off the boat in the morning? We are taking this cruise and want to know if we can make an excursion at 830.

    • @exploringwithcindyanddan
      @exploringwithcindyanddan  5 месяцев назад

If your excursion tour is why Royal Caribbean at 8:30am you don’t have any problem because they will make sure that you get to your excursion on time but if you do a private tour 8:30am might be a problem.
We arrived at almost 7:40am but it takes some time to allow passengers to get off the ship

@@exploringwithcindyanddan we can't book directly through royal. It's not an option. So disappointing!

Oh I see. Then try to book a later excursion maybe around 9:30 or 10am and you should be fine.

Is it worth it to take a Bahamas cruise in winter?

      Hello There,
Yes anytime is great when going to the Bahamas. We’ve been there multiple times on different months and December was great. A lot less people and not so hot
