And perhaps Barry became threatened at Robin' s level of talent, not only in his voice but in his songwriting. Look at the success The Bee Gees had w "MASSACHUSETTS" Robin' s art in writing!! Which Robin wrote @ 16, on board the boat enroute from Australia to England. Sixteen people, that' s just amazing!! Wasn' t that their first hit in U.S.? And top it off,---he had never even been to Massachusetts!! Knew no one from there. But was smart enough to know if they wanted to get noticed in U.S that was certainly the way to get some attention. That was Robin' s foresight, not Barry' s. Robin went on to become a hit in his songwriting, as well as his voice' s excellent and unique quivering vibrato, which made him very POPULAR W/FANS! Which more than likely, got noticed by Barry and flared up a bit of jealousy. They were both talented, driven, intelligent in the business. Brotherly rivalry.
