I do have to agree with that. Since they had planned to make at least 3 in the beginning, it would only make sense to reserve the domains for them from the start.
They were never making Episode 3. They just made so when you type that, you get directed to the Sonic 4 website. Why? So no one can steal the domain in case they would ever make an Episode 3.

matt the way URL's work, you could type in any number under 8 and get the same result, for example try doing ep6 or something, it'll pop up with the same website. and dude there will be an ep 3, the story is unfinished and the sonic fan base is still willing to buy it

they should have made Sonic the Hedgehog 4 episode 3 a long time ago they should have had done that a long time ago right before they canceled it because they had a skip it they just had it made just episode 1 in that's it but maybe in the future don't probably make Sonic the Hedgehog 4 episode 3 a lot better 2 is the reason why they hold it back because it's because back from the original Sonic 3 & Knuckles they already had use the stages that was original from Sonic 3 & Sonic 3 & Knuckles all together from Angel Island through hydrocity Zone a mobile garden zone through ice cap Zone from Carnival night zone for all the way do the zones from the end of Sonic 3 & Knuckles from the original Sonic 3 but I really did like when they brought up flying battery from Sonic and Knuckles time that was one of my goods zones at the time but however though I really did like Sonic Mania when they brought flying battery into mania I just sure hope that someday hope we will ever get a chance to see if there will be a Sonic the Hedgehog 4 episode 3 someday

I still would’ve liked to have seen episode 3 or have something like Sonic 4 happen again but with the problems fixed, but oh well.

Sadly, this actually works with any number except 9, maybe they prepared themsince episode 1, even if future games werent assured.
