Cam in his prime was cold though. If you're judging his lyrical content after "Come Home with me" I think he loses a lot of points. Confessions was dope, SDE was dope. Come Home with me was kinda like the break point. At that point, he's putting his fam on(Juelz, Jim, Zeeky). Hip Hop heads could probably liken that to when EPMD introduced the Hit Squad proteges.

Totally disagree with Joe Budden on Cam'ron being responsible for saying it was cool to rock with Wayne. In the late 90s, Juvenile was the man to rock with because of that song "HA" and "Back That Ass Up". It was definitely getting crazy play up here at the time. Jay Z hopped on the "HA" (remix) and it exploded even more in NYC. Juvenile was actually on A LOT of east coast tracks specifically Roc A Fella (Juve was on Jay Z's album) and Ruff Ryders (specifically the 1st Double R complication album. Never Forget. Down Bottom. Down Bottom was a massive hit single).
Off the strength of Juvenile's single "HA", his collabos with Jay Z and Ruff Ryders Compilation feature, it got the East Coast in the late 90s to rock with Cash Money as a whole on major levels. One thing, I will never forget seeing in HS in NYC was folks buying Juve, BG, Big Tymers, Hot Boys, and Lil Wayne albums from 1998-2000. I remember when folks out here were screaming for Turk's album heavy! Even though Lil Wayne had the fan fare back then in his teen years, everyone on the low in the east coast loved Turks flow. So Joe is incorrect because folks were already rocking with Lil' Wayne and Cash Money well before this so-called Cam'ron "co-signed Wayne" claim. People out here in NYC were already rocking with "The Block is Hot" and the "Lights Out" albums. So "all praise due to Cam'ron" is incorrect. It's all praise due to Juvenile and how hot his singles were. We also saw an influx of down south MCs doing stuff with East Coast MCs because of the Juve HA record and Back That Ass Up record. Again, Jay Z and Juve (HA Remix/Snoopy Track); Prodigy and BG (YBE); Noreaga/Lil Wayne/Juve (were on Melvin Flynt Da Hustler album), were all features around the time Cash Money was popping across the country that was definitely between 1998-2000.

Dipset was so huge in Germany. So many tried to rap over these Heatmakerz-type instrumentals, being completely swag and punchline-centric, they even modeled their clothing style after Cam'ron. Noone was trying to copy G-Unit in Germany, despite their sales. For a few years, say 2004-07 or so, endless German rappers tried to sound like Dipset. Just like how everyone is trying to do Trap in Germany now, even the bigger artists.
