Glad you like it! Yeah, I have been using this for several flights and it takes a little getting used to, but I'm liking this a lot and it's safer all around as long as you understand it's different than using a normal arming switch.
Is it really safer than using a standard switch with a prearm switch? I use a toggle + momentary for prearm on my tango2 and I feel like that would be safer because I don't have to fumble for a second button to disarm
Yes indeed. I myself don't feel safe to arm/disarm with a normal toggle switch together with others. I used Function switch 1 instead. But for people who prefer the switch at the front right location, they can use the VR Pot as a switch as well. Add a 4 point curve to change that Ch5 to be a step function for -100 to +100
Finally, setting up the double arming on my T-Pro after accidentally shutting down my drone over an island in Thailand and searching for it in the dense forest 😅 Thanks for this tutorial!
Wow that's alot of information. I will need to watch this several times for it to sink in just because it's something new. I'm so used to flipping switches instead of pushing buttons. I think I'm going to wait though until the one with the internal elrs comes out. It's winter here anyway, so no biggie on waiting. I love all the info you put into these videos. Very thorough for sure and it looks like you're the first one reviewing this, so that should be something for everyone out here to take into account that you are top dog, thanks so much.
Very happy that when you turn your remote on it's always in disarm even if for a stupid reason it's armed whenever you shut your remote off it still goes back to disarm thank you very much very much so appreciate it
Thanks for the tutorial, you are one of my biggest inspirations. Since the function buttons (1-6) have a led, I’m using F1 as my arming button, you need to go to the logical SW page and select 2 pos and put a dash - in the right column, so the F1 SW don’t get cancelled when you press another F button
Thank you that was a great video tutorial I just setup my remote to where I can use it for arming and disarming didn't even know how to do that thank you so much any other cool tutorials with this remote would be greatly appreciated
thank you, this helps me on for my tx16s. i want to use 2 position as "ready to arm or disarm, then the momentary switch to arm and disarm depending what position the 2 position switch is in
This is great and a safe way. I have tested the alternative which worked fine for me. 1) Create logical switch L01 as a>X with input from S2 ( right VR pot), then set X= -90 (or other desired trigger point). 2) Assign the L01 switch as CH5 source. Slide to left dead end as -100, a quick slide to the right passing the X triggering point as +100. You have enough dead zone to prevent it from switching over accidentally. 3) Setup special function for L01 and !L01 to play track ARMED and DISARMED respectively.
hi @Alber kim i want thanks for the dual Momentary Switch Arming tutorial but i want to ask how to setup up the Left switch SC! to also works with the Crash over flip function? if i follow your tutorial I cannot arm the quad as my left switch is set as crash over flip it means both switches are flip together
Happy new year pal!! Thanks fir the video! Do you think this transmitter would be ok for an 3D helicopter? I use 3 switches on the left and one on the right… I’m afraid the options won’t be enough with this cool device… is it possible for example to put the rates on a momentary switch? Like press several times for each of the 3 rates I usually use? Thanks anyways!!😎😎😎
@@AlbertKimTV I understand, but it’s more about how to use 4 different functions on this transmitter having lot less switches than most of the transmitter… How would you then on this transmitter for your quad assign arm/desarm, 3 modes, 3 rates, the buzzer and one or two more functions, specially since you already used two buttons to arm safely… I guess there is probably different possibilities to discover.. not that simple though..😅😅 Anyways, thanks !!!
I don't think that radio has dual momentary switches so the method would be totally different. You might be able to use the AND logical function with another switch but you'll have to remember to toggle that switch along with the momentary switch so it might not be all that easy.
nice little radio, but i would rather a toggle or latching switch , that antennae needs rotating 90 slightly bigger screen . those are my moans but i do like it. thanks for showing the work around.
I'm still looking for the "perfect transmitter"'. or at least the best starting point and I can circuit bend it to my will from there. I'm still using a frick'n Flysky NV14 nirvana. Had to reflash chips on the board to unlock it from factory and I've been running a custom firmware I coded up for it.
i see on the monitor that channel 4 is not centered and reading 1.5. do you experiencing gimbal drift? even after you calibrate, after sometime (usually after one day and after power cycle) the gimbal drift again. that is what i experience on the t-lite.
Yeah, I need to run the calibration. I have not done that yet on this radio. I have not used this enough yet to tell you how much drift it has (or hasn't). Follow up videos will be coming later so stay tuned...
I feel like I'm going crazy, everyone is saying they like this radio and this makes things safer, but most flight control software already had prearm options? Not only that but wouldn't this theoretically slow down your disarming, since you have to fumble for 2 buttons, thus making this solution less safe? The dual momentary switches along with the weirdly large antenna are just strange oversights that I would not expect, and I struggle to understand why anyone would pick this radio over the Zorro, but I guess that's just me. Great tutorial as always Albert, super useful despite the weirdness from Jumper
I've been flying with this setup and have not had any issues with disarming. It just takes a little bit of time to adjust. I'm just as fast as with a single switch. Some people don't like the large screen of the Zorro, some people don't like the large antenna of the T-Pro. Everyone has their preferences. So just pick what is good for you.
Hi, i’m trying to follow your setup but it does not work on my T-PRO. One thing that i noticed, when i push SC or SD, there is no change from thin or bold on the font. Any idea? Is there anything i missed? Or any update firmware? Thanks in advance!
Hmmm, sorry all I can assume is some step was missed or not setup properly. Which one? I would have to see the radio in person to diagnose. Obviously, it works on my radio as demonstrated in the video. Try and create a fresh new model and start over.
@@AlbertKimTV Drones8 didn't work for me either. Not a huge deal. I'd be interested to see a comparison of this and the zorro anyways. I'm currently on 900mhz eLRS, but I could be convinced to swap my 2.4 stuff if I could have it all on one radio without having to swap modules.

Albert, hello! What do you recommend to do with batteries which voltage went lower 3v? Just utilize them or not? Is it a big risk?
Don't recommend letting the voltage go below 6v (3v per cell). The radio might turn off unexpectedly.
I'll receive my controller tomorrow and thinking about upgrade directly to EdgeTX.
Would this guide apply to that as well?
It should work the same way in EdgeTX though some of the menu items might be in slightly different spots.
