Excited to see how you did it. I would set the following in the modes tab: - left-pressed as pre-arm - right-pressed as disarm - right-released position as arm With that config, you could press both shoulder buttons then release the right button to arm, then release the pre-arm on the left. Tap the right to disarm. The only issue I see with that option is that it would be really easy to accidentally disarm mid-flight (or easy for that one friend who thinks he’s funny to walk up and disarm you). Thanks for all your work AK! Happy new year!
Ordered one)) I really like that six buttons on top are actually 6 channels, so I can put all that things like beeper, flight modes, etc on them, keeping main switches for more urgent stuff) And thanks for review!
The turnigy. That's a bummer about the shoulder switches. I was hoping this would finally be a one radio solution for quads and planes. I didn't see trims on the radio master. Yes the antenna is silly. Would love to see a tear down of it please.
Which RadioMaster are you thinking of as a comparison... the T8/T8Pro? As the T8 Pro does if you use the LCD attachment (although I think it would be fiddly at best), but the T8/T8 Lite doesn't. The Zorro is the nearest alternative to this from RM, and does have trims, and plenty of switches and buttons also. Downside is the smaller batteries, but should plenty long enough runtime for the average user.
Great review! Nice to see they have changed their tune on the internal ELRS. I flexed the battery tabs on mine slightly as the Panasonic flattops I used were slightly loose, but after that I've had no problem that that. Coming from the T-Lite, the gimbals feel the same, and I like them, but the larger body of the radio doesn't feel as comfortable for my hands - the T-Lite is a perfect fit, whereas for someone with bigger hands, this will probably be more comfortable for them (for this reason, I also find the Zorro more comfortable). I like that they changed away from the "soft touch" coating, as I rather fear that in a couple of years my T-Lite will be a tacky mess - so have it in a silicone sleeve already. There is no fan (yet) on the T-Pro, but it does look like it should be possible to squeeze one in once the spacer that is between the 4IN1 RF and the charger/power board is removed - I presume that would be replaced with a different space that fits the fan and internal ELRS RF module once available. I believe the lanyard hook is metal, not plastic - it has that cold feel of metal rather than room temperature of plastic. The trim hats *are* actually 5D rocker joysticks - so they do press in as well as move in the four directions - but the covers go too far down the stem of the joystick so they may or may not actually let you press - the left trimhat could click on mine, the right one couldn't untill I pulled the cover out a bit. I don't know yet if they are actually available for the firmware to use. The "bootloader" button is for DFU mode - you have hold it down when you connect the USB to the computer to enable the DFU recovery flashing mode. While I hadn't noticed the screen particular better, it's recessed like the T-Lite's was, so that could have something to do with it. I am dissapointed that once again they haven't put a hard plastic protector over the oled glass display - so that can be easily cracked if something were able to hit the display. I trouble with the USB-C connector - it's so close to the side of the body of the radio that most of my cables were too thick to plug in, so wouldn't plug in fully. With regard to the onboard charging, it seems to charge at around 0.5A - so not blindingly fast, but it would comfortably charge your radio overnight, and that should be enough to run the radio *and* top the batteries up slowly if are out at the field with flat batteries and a usb powerbank.

Fantastic Video! Only thing i don't think you mentioned is that "batteries are not included", but most of us know and expect that. It is of course described as such on the product page. My biggest concern with getting the T-Lite as my first radio beyond my original RTF kit was that there was 2 possible newby mistakes to make. Plugging the battery in backwards or forgetting to connect the antenna before turning it on. Seems that with T-Pro at least one of those problems has been removed. If the built in ELRS version is good i might upgrade from my T8-Pro.
Albert, the charging light is embedded with that little boot button on the top. It's very tiny, and hard to see. But it does light up green when charging.
Yeah, someone else mentioned that too. When the manual mentioned the green light, why not the big green light on the power button? They need to fix the manual.
Not bad for $125. Not sure how i feel about the new fandangle switches, you do bring up some important points about accidentally hitting stuff. I think I'll be sticking with my current jumper t-lite just a bit more until the internal expresslrs module comes out. Thanks for the review! Happy new years.

Hi, how are you going to use switches for helicopter? I personally need 3 switches on the left and one one the right… I’m hesitating to get one of those for that reason… what do you think?

This radio will be fine for that but there's cheaper options like the LiteRadio3 if you want to save some bucks just to get started. Just depends on how much you want to spend.
They are programmed like that in the sample model, but you can program it into a 6 position switch with OpenTX programming in the mixer to output to whatever channel you want. In a nutshell, it's flexible but you have to do some work.
Just received mine. I am actually in the process of 3d printing a plate to cover over where the switches are and switching them over to the t lite switches. Pretty simple. Great video.

Love my t-lite radio just because of it's size and form factor. Have only one issue so far as a minute curl of plastic jammed under the pitch roll axis return spring pad which would mess up my channel midpoint. a good clean and a spray with silicone lube fixed it
@@AlbertKimTV I only want it for drones , no fixed wings. Thought you mentioned something about elrs update to internal software, or am I mistaken Thanks for the reply
What’s the difference between 4in1 and ElRs as I don’t have any elrs quads as of yet just been flying frsky. I’m tired of my QX7 and want this but unsure which to buy
I have a lite radio 2 right now but I am not really happy with the range to an xm+ will this radio give me better range on frsky or should I switch to elrs
My t12 has been able to plug in and out any module for different protocols and mod battery packs and incompatiblility upgrades if i want to get new upgrades for my other drones .
Looks like a Tango II knock-off. It has the rocker style toggles, and the menu scroll wheel, along with the antenna design, but interesting option none the less. I really like the 18650 battery bays. Might have to give it a go.
Ergonomically, this seems like the optimal design which is why there are so many copies. If it looked radically different people will complain it's uncomfortable to hold. So that's probably why the form factor isn't gonna look different with each new design.
Good thorough review Albert. I pre-ordered a Zorro already to eventually replace my t-lite which I still love. I don't like the looks of this t pro much to be honest and i wish they would have gone with a bigger display like the Zorro will have. Looking forward to getting my Zorro and seeing your review on it when i'm sure you get one. Keep up the good work👍😎
A lot of people hate the large screen on the Zorro and prefer the smaller screen of the T-Pro. You're in the other group. At least the manufacturers are making different styles so that more people will be happier. They've stopped listening to those idiots who told all the manufacturers to make every radio look like a Taranis X9D copy. I'm glad they aren't listening to those people anymore.
After picking your mind a few weeks ago about the Happymodel elrs pro module that I ended up buying for my Jumper T18 Pro V2 after your recommendation, is this pretty much the same functionality as my Jumper T18 Pro V2 but with less bells and whistles?
I love my Jumper t-lite but this looks like a Tango. I like being able to upgrade the sma removable antenna and my real switches. Really was waiting for the new Jumper game style radio but thought it would of been better than this. With that being said I still would use it cause it's new jumper. Hey Albert I will trade you a brand new radio master t16s for it 🙂 JK I know you are going to run a bunch of tests on it.
That depends on what you have on the DIY drone. You'll need to match the receiver and protocol on the drone. If the drone has an ELRS receiver, you need a radio that has an internal ELRS TX or can accept a TX module.
Awesome review, Albert! Thanks a lot! 😃 The switches are a bit weird indeed... But it definitely seems like a upgrade from the T-Lite! Happy new year! And stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
@@AlbertKimTV yes, for now in my country, jumper t pro was popular than radiomaster or tbs and etc and how about radiomaster zorro? who's better than t pro?
Curious to see how well this is actually received. The bumper switches don’t seem ideal but there seems to be a trend with those in recent tx releases. Thank you for the review man!
Hi Albert, as always: Thanks for the review, fantastic!! Can you please test with the AION Nano TX if the following features work: Btooth joystick on PC, wireless update and the rated power mode - 500mw. Thanks!
@@AlbertKimTV thanks, would be great to know (once you review) if they actually work or not. Betafpvs nano module is a half delivered promise, so it would be great if we can finally enjoy the full feature stack with that sick oled backing. That being said, I've already ordered the AION Nano, so in a few weeks should be able to see if it was worth it.
Turnigy evolution was the first Xbox style controller for FPV. At least that’s what Trappy says they borrowed from. Funny that module has a better screen than radio?!
@@AlbertKimTV sold my Turnigy Evolution a long time ago. It was a great design with crappy RC link unfortunately. Others should look at that design and glean some of the good stuff from it.
Thanks for the review Albert! I'm definitely not a fan of the switches. Way too fiddly, and error/accident prone. Even if it had internal ELRS this would be a hard pass from me. Sadly, this looks like a fail for Jumper. I'll be keeping my T-Lite.
Yeah, they're totally different. ELRS is mainly if you want to go farther and have a more reliable range and connection. The 4-in-1 is when you have multiple drones with different receiver types.
@@AlbertKimTV cool!… on paper that is my top choice for now because of the internal elrs and its shape. Will definitely wait for your review first before pulling the trigger.
The banggood code isn't working. When entered it says "this coupon can only be used on products from a specific category. " does this with any of the packages with or without the elrs add on.
I like it..I don't know, it would be nice with internal expresslrs, but I like redpine too..it would be so nice, if it has them both, sadly it won't :D
Thank you for the review. Yeah, it’s gonna be a pass for me. I was so excited about this radio too..I do like the 6 buttons to use as switches. It seems like a good way to add switches to a small radio. The 2 18650 are nice also. So far I just can’t see it being a real upgrade over my current t lite elrs.
There's some definitely improvements in this over the T-Lite but if you're already happy with that one, no reason to upgrade. This ain't perfect but all the others also have issues so the radio debate will be very subjective on all the new models.
Ergonomics finally look better got rid of my Tlite because it didn’t fit my hand properly. Unfortunately looks meh to me. I would love to see a radio with xlite quality.
you can make the shoulder momentaries toggles in opentx. I do this with a hold delay. It's a "sticky" in logical switches. L01: stky L02 L03 L02: a>x SF(down) 0 0.4(delay) L03: a>x SF(down) 0 0 change your switch to what that shoulder button is. This will have a .4 second delay on arm and and immediate disarm.
when i first saw it i thought this is gonna be a great upgrade from tlite, but i guess i will have to pass on this model, i dont like the momentary switches. i guess the tlite is hard to beat. its also my daily driver for straight 7 months already together with elrs module on the back.
@@AlbertKimTV just the normal happymodel tlite elrs module, pretty much bone stock. But i never use internal charger for the batteries. Very reliable radio.
momentary shoulder switches put me off, i was really hoping a bigger screen, perhaps a colour one and they could call it NirvanaT pro :) . thanks for the video, 1st one i notice demoing the new Tpro
Hows the footprint with a module installed compared to a qx7 for example? Looking for something more compact, but so far not much beats an qx7 with internal module mod
The number of FPV pilots will decrease by 50% since it appears they are all suicidal from these comments. They hate life, they hate everything. These comments are very depressing.
waaahhhh. you get to fly a quad. You could live in Ukraine worried about an invasion of your homeland. First world problems at it's best. I say this harsh truth with nothing but love brother. *Happy flying!* Cheers. - A quad pilot with a Jumper T-lite as well but puts things in perspective.
The momentary switches are a dealbreaker for me. Yes you can work around it, use a prearm etc. but it's just stupid and offputting. I'd also like a look into that antenna case. I'd bet half of it is just empty space which will beg for a 3d printed replacement.
@@AlbertKimTV Yes, I know. Jumper says that it will be available "very soon". But I don't know. :) I ordered T-Pro but I think that custom shell for T-Lite is best option. Also DIY ELRS module that placed inside.
I believe they had originally announced it as having elrs and even had a survey asking if it should be 2.4ghz or 900mhz. That's why people have been so hard on them.
@@AlbertKimTV I will still crucify sorry :) Because they should have done this from start. For instance t-lite has more than enough space to hold an external elrs module inside the transmitter. I'll wait for the internal one for sure. Thanks for the information.

Have only one issue so far as a minute curl of plastic jammed under the pitch roll axis return spring pad which would mess up my channel midpoint.
a good clean and a spray with silicone lube fixed it
😎
Happy new year
Happy New Year! 🎉🎈🎊🥳
Would you recommend I purchased this now or waited a bit for updated version. it is cold here in the Uk and not doing much flying. Cheers
Hard to make a recommendation without more information about what you want to use this for. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by "updated version".
ELRS is the ExpressLRS version. The 4-in-1 has the multiprotocol module instead internally. Since you fly Frsky, you'll want the 4-in-1.
I have a lite radio 2 right now but I am not really happy with the range to an xm+ will this radio give me better range on frsky or should I switch to elrs
Yes, this one will have better range but not by a huge margin. Maybe twice as far?
My t12 has been able to plug in and out any module for different protocols and mod battery packs and incompatiblility upgrades if i want to get new upgrades for my other drones .
😎
nice updatest information Kim ! this is what I'm waiting for a week ago. btw thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
@@AlbertKimTV Definitely agree.👍Also, as you stated earlier. Their all basically a knock-off of sorts, of other units anyway.
I'm kind of surprised they didnt give some protection against reverse polarity after ppl complained about it on their last radio.
Probably due to the added cost. Maybe the component will add another $10 to the radio. Then people will complain about that.
After picking your mind a few weeks ago about the Happymodel elrs pro module that I ended up buying for my Jumper T18 Pro V2 after your recommendation, is this pretty much the same functionality as my Jumper T18 Pro V2 but with less bells and whistles?
Yes, pretty much but the module bay is for nano sized modules and not micro modules.
@@AlbertKimTV oh ok, thanks again for sharing your knowledge. Greatly appreciated
Which radio should I buy Jumper pro or Jumper Tlite V2 What is the difference???
I love my Jumper t-lite but this looks like a Tango. I like being able to upgrade the sma removable antenna and my real switches. Really was waiting for the new Jumper game style radio but thought it would of been better than this. With that being said I still would use it cause it's new jumper. Hey Albert I will trade you a brand new radio master t16s for it 🙂 JK I know you are going to run a bunch of tests on it.
Does it looks more like the Tango2, the DJI FPV controller, or the Turnigy Evolution? 🤔
@@AlbertKimTV Its like a mix of all 3 lol. I would still use it. Good price as well.
hey Albert! can you tell me if that controller can be used for simulator on pc??
Yes, it can.
@@AlbertKimTV thank you sir!!
for DIY fpv drones is just the contrller enough ? or do i need the module and receiver?
That depends on what you have on the DIY drone. You'll need to match the receiver and protocol on the drone. If the drone has an ELRS receiver, you need a radio that has an internal ELRS TX or can accept a TX module.
Awesome review, Albert! Thanks a lot! 😃
The switches are a bit weird indeed... But it definitely seems like a upgrade from the T-Lite!
Happy new year! And stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Happy New Year! 🎉🎈🎊🥳
Hi, would you recommend Jumper T-Pro for a beginner? Was picking between it and T-Lite V2.
Both are great for beginners. How they will feel in the hand is subjective however.
@@AlbertKimTV decided to add some more money and buy Radiomaster TX12 instead. Thanks for help!
why jumper is the most popular radio transmitter? (other than tx16 series)
It is?
@@AlbertKimTV yes, for now in my country, jumper t pro was popular than radiomaster or tbs and etc
and how about radiomaster zorro? who's better than t pro?
Nice design 🔥
Glad you like it!
On T-lite you can put stock antenna inside case, especially if using external elrs module.
👌
Thx, Albert!
Happy New Year!
Curious to see how well this is actually received. The bumper switches don’t seem ideal but there seems to be a trend with those in recent tx releases. Thank you for the review man!
Happy New Year! 🎉🎈🎊🥳
Happy new year!
Hi Albert, as always: Thanks for the review, fantastic!!
Can you please test with the AION Nano TX if the following features work: Btooth joystick on PC, wireless update and the rated power mode - 500mw.
Thanks!
Noted. Thanks for the suggestions.
You know the answer to the trivia question! Happy New Year! 🎉🎈🎊🥳
I figured out a clever solution for the momentary switch. Watch the next video on this...
ANY DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ELRS AND 4in1?
Yeah, they're totally different. ELRS is mainly if you want to go farther and have a more reliable range and connection. The 4-in-1 is when you have multiple drones with different receiver types.
Now I’m waiting for some reviews on iFlight Commando 8
Yep, I'll have it as soon as they get one to me.
@@AlbertKimTV cool!… on paper that is my top choice for now because of the internal elrs and its shape. Will definitely wait for your review first before pulling the trigger.
i'd rather have a multi protocoll module in my radio with an elrs module than being fixed on one xD
Cool 😎
The banggood code isn't working. When entered it says "this coupon can only be used on products from a specific category. " does this with any of the packages with or without the elrs add on.
Yes, I'm trying to get that fixed.
Love the look of it
😎
I like it..I don't know, it would be nice with internal expresslrs, but I like redpine too..it would be so nice, if it has them both, sadly it won't :D
Impossible to have both internally without developer support. Never gonna happen.
you always mention on Tango 2, in fact the design is more towards to DJI FPV V2 controller.
That's subjective.
Agrees
This thing looks exactly like the dji remote 2
It's like the DJI FPV and Tango2 had a baby! 😂🤣😅🤣😝
Ergonomics finally look better got rid of my Tlite because it didn’t fit my hand properly. Unfortunately looks meh to me. I would love to see a radio with xlite quality.
But the Xlite gimbals were such TRASH.
@@AlbertKimTV no lie there but felt good in the hands to me. Better than the tango
you can make the shoulder momentaries toggles in opentx. I do this with a hold delay. It's a "sticky" in logical switches.
L01: stky L02 L03
L02: a>x SF(down) 0 0.4(delay)
L03: a>x SF(down) 0 0
change your switch to what that shoulder button is. This will have a .4 second delay on arm and and immediate disarm.
Yep, I figured this out with some digging. Already made a video and will post it as soon as I edit it.
XLite design was stolen from that old gamepad style Turnigy radio. Ran FlySky and was the go-to for UAVFutures’ crew back in the day, IIRC…
welcome old timer! 🤣
when i first saw it i thought this is gonna be a great upgrade from tlite, but i guess i will have to pass on this model, i dont like the momentary switches. i guess the tlite is hard to beat. its also my daily driver for straight 7 months already together with elrs module on the back.
Did you also do the power mod like me?
@@AlbertKimTV just the normal happymodel tlite elrs module, pretty much bone stock. But i never use internal charger for the batteries. Very reliable radio.
Wait.. ELRS isn't native? need module ?
haha, obviously commented before 1:00...
😁
momentary shoulder switches put me off, i was really hoping a bigger screen, perhaps a colour one and they could call it NirvanaT pro :) . thanks for the video, 1st one i notice demoing the new Tpro
I just wish the momentary switch was a latching switch, but I found a software workaround I'll share in the next video.
Hows the footprint with a module installed compared to a qx7 for example? Looking for something more compact, but so far not much beats an qx7 with internal module mod
Still smaller
Is it safe to guess you are using sticky switches?
Yes... you'll see in the next video. There's more to it.
The number of FPV pilots will decrease by 50% since it appears they are all suicidal from these comments. They hate life, they hate everything. These comments are very depressing.
Got any suggestions to increase positivity in FPV?
Just sucks that I waited awhile to get the t lite and a couple months later I see this started to sell on banggood
Timing is never guaranteed in life...
waaahhhh. you get to fly a quad.
👌
Was it radio link
No... many people already left correct answer in the comments.
This is T Lite version for 2s. :)
😁
after seeing this tpro, I feel grateful for buying Xlite pro first Instead of orderin tpro.
👌
Looks like they copied the DJI FPV drone controller to me. The momentary switches kill it for me. Nice look!
Some people say it looks more like the Tango2 🤔
I've got a solution for the momentary switches in the next video.
It absolutely looks like the dji fpv and the tango 2 😂
Second
Happy New Year! 🎉🎈🎊🥳
Kinda disappointed due to missing internal ELRS. External module mount is ugly and also add size and weight.
Internal ELRS version is coming soon and I'll have a video on it as well.
@@AlbertKimTV Yes, I know. Jumper says that it will be available "very soon". But I don't know. :) I ordered T-Pro but I think that custom shell for T-Lite is best option. Also DIY ELRS module that placed inside.
First!
Happy New Year! 🎉🎈🎊🥳
@@AlbertKimTV Happy New Year! 🥳🥳🥳
Tango knock-off? I think the Commando looks even more like Tango.
Tango was a knock off of the Evolution.
They should have just made one with internal expresslrs.
They will make that one soon as I mentioned in the video.
No internal ELRS no buy.
👌
This a a past for me don't like the switch system they implement, I'll wait for the Zorro
👌
