They got so much right with this radio for my taste. The color, the batteries, the small screen are all nice. If they could have their switches like the zorro or t-lite ones, I’d be buying for sure.
Hey Nick! Thanks for the great content!! I'm sure you've figured this out by now, but if you press the SD card spring release it comes out about 2mm. The just tilt the antenna a little so it's barely touching the SD card, the press your thumb down on the card while pushing the antenna back down (down so the 2.4 GHz sticker is parallel to the deck and the antenna is prepared for storage) and sliding your thumb outward. The card slides out smoothly. To put it back, and avoid cramming it in the in-between, you can keep the antenna down (storage position) and use it as a guide to slide the SD right in! Cheers!
I switched to hybrid pinch too! Based off an old video Steele did talking about it. Took a few months to learn, but it feels better now than thumbs ever did for me
Hi Nick, the Internal ELRS module will soon be able to be flashed via FTDI/UART without having to edit any code.. just an additional way to recover it should you choose to go that way.. because options! :)
I started flying planes years ago using thumbs. Then got into helis, and basically had to pinch to get more precise. I'm warming up to the gamepad style radios.
I like the jumper t-pro, I wish that the functionalities of the T-pro could be built into the t-lite formfactor with an upgraded antenna, that would probably provide for a pretty good setup. That is nice though that they include that little adapter attachment to put your own antenna on the transmitter. Does look like a hybrid between the Tango 2 and the DJI controller very much. I would say that tis is targeted more towards quad pilots and not airplane pilots only because the trim sticks aren't as easy to use without looking as opposed to the typical up down, left and right click switches which can be nor easily distinguished. Still seems like a great radio for the price and the overall formfactor is nice.
I unfortunately will be returning my T Pro Internal ELRS and replacing it with a new one. The speaker was super distorted and with antenna raised at all would cause my stick positions to change on the radio and would certainly cause my drone to fly awkwardly. I hope my new replacement is fine 🙂
As far as thumbing I've recently done the same thing. I feel more in control with the hybrid pinch. It's only been a week but I can already feel a big difference. I'm not as fast but I'm not crashing as much.
Odd, it was in two of the radios I got. They must have put that in then if your not getting them retail. Sorry for the mistake, I didn't expect them to send two radios with the same extras.

Nick, if I get The Xpress ELRS version and I have frsky transmitters/receivers in my Emax hawk pro type drones, so what model/ version should I get that will also work with frsky transmitters /receivers as well as the express LRS transmitter? An What’s the right deal that saves me money from buying modulars an accessories so I can use different drones and receivers that are all built into the ELRS transmitter!
I suggest getting the internal elrs version with an external 4 in 1 module. This would allow us to use the external 4 in 1 to bind to our D16 and D8 quads and elrs to those that have elrs receivers
I had pre-ordered the pro so I got it pretty early before there were any videos on the updating issue. I was lucky and was able to exchange it for the Zorro which I really really like alot.
I just returned my T pro back to RDQ and have a zorro on order now. I had the same problem that Nick had with the module being powered on 24/7. I also didn’t like how Jumper released the T pro and AION module without giving samples to the ExpressLRS devs. Hopefully my Zorro comes soon!

The zorro battery life is pretty short compared to most other radios. I really can't say how much different as I didn't use the radio for week over week, and it was a fair bit ago.
The lack a of a 2 position switch is a big let down IMO. Also, 1W without a fan, the module will either be throttled down after some time so it doesn't get damaged, or you will have warm hands in the winter lol
Pinching on the pitxh/roll stick has way improved my skills..took a second but I cant fly with my right thumb now lol. I wanna get this radio...my og t-lite is acting funny sometimes when I turn it on...for like 2hrs it wouldnt even turn on then like magic, it worked later that day....
Still prefer the style of t pro over zorro depite the issue. Hope they fix the issue and have updated radio on shelf asap Would rather go for x7 or tx16 if I want big screen and don't mind the stick out switch than go with Zorro.

I am not very good at soldering so I wanted to use plugs for my motors. could you tell me what type of crimps you use or if you are aware of a link that would help? That is a good question. I am not sure as I have not crimped motor connectors. I would think we could crimp on the pins with something like the PA-09 crimpers, I haven't use it since we moved away from the red jst connectors for batteries, but it has several different size of crimping options on that tool.

Hi Nick, I just built a whoop with the happymodel F4 ELRS 2.4 1s board and the vtx is stuck on raceband channel 4 at 25mW. When I try changing the power output my OSD flashes or a split second "LV0" instead of 25mW then back to 25mW. I've been trying to solve this issue for a few days now, please could you suggest a solution? Thanks

How's the hybrid pinch on this one compared to the radiator zorro? Like is it more cramped or your hands at a different angle? Also is the angle of the handles more or less extreme than the zorro? I think one of these are the radio for me, but I'm still on the fence over the gamepad style, but these do appear to have less on an extreme angle on the grips than the t-lite
It's funny, I use to play video games and now I fly quads but I'm a pincher. I got so use to that when I tried to play a game with my son. I couldn't barely play. I had to invert my controls and it took me a while to get use to just using thumbs again. Lol

I use frsky x-lite tx but after I use jumper t-pro I feel its very difficult to control my quads now.. do you feel any different in flying stick response?

I much prefer them on top like the qx7, t-lite, and tango 2. So I’m hoping that top left switch feels like it’s in the right spot for a quick disarm. Unfortunately that rdc90 gimbal uses a potentiometer so it’s not as good as the hall gimbals. I just really hope they are still gonna sell the hall version since I plan to order one
Should i get a jumper t pro 1w els or a radiomaster tx12 elrs, the tx12 is better in every way except the power output(250mw vs the 1w of the t pro) but at the same time i'm just going to fly around my house, only thing i worry about is fail safe gong around my house because i live in europe and walls are very thick and with my last 100mw radio it failsafed before getting completely to the other side of the house. Which one should i get? Is 250mw 2.4ghz elrs enough for my needs?
They upgraded the pro with a on/off switch which replaced the rotary on the right. That was a huge complain because in the previous one a arm/disarm was not possible. I am not sure, if I want the lite or pro. I have no problem to have a spare 18650 with me. I read, that the pro has some issues the lite does not have. I also read, that the internal ELRS was capped. Does anyone have evidence for that? I only buy this version because of the added range. But if I only get the max range with the external device, I will get the 4-1 instead.
Hello I need help with charging of the transmitter. On its top there is a USB C port where I am suppose to plug a USB C cable and the charging should be on by default. But what's happening - As soon as I connect the charger, The transmitter Power button light and LCD light comes on and goes out within a second. That's it. No indication or display for charging. - I have to keep the transmitter ON and then keep it connected to the USB C charging cable "imagining" that it gets charge only when is ON. But still no charging indication is there. Since the Tx is ON it starts beeping after few minutes. Have to keep stick moving frequently. What is the standard protocol for charging Jumper T pro?
The radio should be off to charge. The green power button is on while charging, the light goes off when the charging is complete. Does the radio have batteries inserted?
Yep. Just did it myself. You have to open it up and adjust some screws on the gimbals. It’s like any other radio, so I’m sure if you search for a tutorial you’ll be able to figure it out
As someone who was dumb enough to buy a DJI FPV I can say that they pretty much molded that remote and added some buttons. It's too similar to be inspired by it.
lol. If you like the t-lite and the zorro battery life isn't a deal breaker that would be the one to move to. But you always have your riot to keep the t-lite on the market.
that is the runcam nano 3. Outside its not has good, doesn't handle direct sunlight as good and if the quad isn't stable or the camera isn't well mounted it tends to show jello more
@@bbsheppo It could be that, but also youtube doesn't encode all video equally, some channels with less views get a lesser encoding quality, and I also don't do fullscreen on the dvr, as that makes the video appear so much worse than it is.
Nick, got a question when I’m Using my BetaFPV transmitter with my Emax hawk pro and go a fair distance away what are those four little ⭐️ symbols that pop up on your goggles, is that some kind of failsafe warning? if not what does it mean?
I presume that is likely the battery warning? Low voltage? That can also be the beeper indicator. Check your modes tab and the switches to see if you have the beeper active when you see those stars on screen.
@@NickBurnsFPV Nick, it’s not my battery I have my battery warnings an other settings set, and it’s not when the battery is low because the battery was full. it seems when I’m going a certain distance I get like four ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ type symbols and they pop up in the middle of the goggles and it seems like it’s a distance or interference thing because of my BetaFPV transmitter/receiver, or maybe getting out of range type of warning and that’s why I thought it was a weak signal-fail safe type warning? it’s not my battery warnings or anything related to that I’m not sure what it is and it only happens when I go a certain distance, an my VTX is set to 25 Mw also if that has anything to do with the warning am getting on my EV800D goggles? But that would only affect the Video Range distance using the VTX power settings, Right?
@@diggsit69 It could be a range issue and the warning indicating a low rssi, do you have the rssi element on in the osd? And this only happens at a distance but you don't actually failsafe? Is your betafpv radio the version with expresslrs or are you using frsky protocol?
@@NickBurnsFPV Nick, yes I do have the RSSI set on the OSD for all my Emax type drones in Beta Flight, an yes am using the Frsky protocol on the BetaFPV 2 transmitter that it came with an the Emax - Hawk Pro an TinyHawk 2 freestyle drones as well. So if that’s just the RSSI warning me that I am near the antennas full distant Range, if so what would be the easiest way to increase this, A better transmitter that has a antenna but not one built in like the betaFPV comes with? Or changing out the Dipole antenna on the Hawk Pro with a better antenna like crossfire, or something else if I didn’t wanna go the crossfire route, or is this where Zorro express LRS is the Best option?
@@diggsit69 Antenna won't do all that much. In range tests we have seen over 1km of range on frsky d16 protocol, but that is high up in the air with clear line of sight. The range will vary greatly. If your using d8 receivers and protocol the range will be far shorter, in either case there isn't much to do with it to increase it, but it is worth noting location and rf interference also plays a role in range. A change in protocol to crossfire or elrs is likely the next choice to increase control link range.
Lol, no its analog. I fly raceband 8, and my location at the table is important. My location is centered and in an open space. If I move even to the couch the reception isn't as good.
@@NickBurnsFPV is there something special about Raceband or Raceband 8 in particular? Sadly you can´t legally transmit anything over 5.880 in Germany lol.
@@overlookedundead8711 raceband is up above wifi frequency. the other alternative is the turn off wifi while flying and see if that helps. Certainly don't be close to the wifi router. :)

Hey Nick. I’m sorry to be suck a pain in the butt. But I can’t seem to find the answer on my own. I have 3 beta fpv 65 hD fc. Each time I hook up one up all the motors spin in same direction. This has happened to all three. I use a jumper tlite but I doubt the radio has anything ti do with it. If you could help I would be very grateful. Again! ☺️
sir I have a few question for that elrs issue. First, I wonder if I fix it once, whether it will ever happen again, and second, does that issue only happen when I try an update

hi ı bought internel ELRS version of this tx . I have some issues cant find solution . Can you help me please. when ı set it up to hight tx power (250 mw or 500 mw ) . Speaker have some parazite sound . and pitch and roll values on betaflight shaking badly . when ı reduce the tx power it is getting well .

I pretty much fly cheap modded old school angle or horizon mode brushed motor whoops in the house and thumbing works the best for me although if I ever learned acro then I think pinching would be better. The only real problem with thumbing for me occasionally is slippage and I can't believe somebody hasn't invented some kind of a harness to keep your thumbs on stick ends but still be able to pivot or maybe some good old duct tape would get the job done
@@NickBurnsFPV yeah, I understand that the receiver and module transmission need to match, but what I’m wondering is if I can use a 900mhz radio module such as the R9M lite pro, with the jumper, to make the 2.4ghz radio output 900mhz to the receiver. I hope that made sense lol.
@@NickBurnsFPV the Taranis x lite pro is a 2.4ghz radio, and it works with my 900mhz module and 900mhz rx combo… was hoping the same module (r9m lite pro) (I hate these naming conventions) could be installed on a Jumper, and get the same functionality. The ergonomics of the xlite pro are not great imo… just wanna swap radios but keep all the other equipment. But so far haven’t found a definitive answer on if this will work. Maybe something to try in a video? I haven’t seen anyone else talking about it. But I’m sure there are lots of 900mhz users who would like to know the answer before buying blindly, or avoiding certain equipment. Thank you for all you do and your input.
@@John_Doe_6996 yes in the case of using an external module that is 900mhz it will bind with the same protocol 900mhz receiver. I thought the question was binding a 2.4ghz module to a 900mhz receiver and the opposite.
Goes both ways, huh? Not the antenna. That stuff is 50% empty so half of it is just purely for aesthetic. This and the momentary switches and the "6 position switch" are so dumb. The zorro is better even though it has weird choices too. The bfs (big effing screen) and the tiny batteries are probably the result of them balancing a poorly placed lanyard...
Nick get urself a quality set of 18650's, if my eyes don't deceive me those are like ultra fire batteries or something and there labels and construction are complete lies and cannot do any kind of amp draw and I doubt the mah they can do is much more than 1000mah which is terrible, just a heads up, longgggg time watcher and your videos are great!
yea, I am aware. I had them when radios started using 18650, figured I might as well use them until they die, then replace. I bought others (Panasonic and Sony) to use for 18650 quads.

1W ELRS is useless for 99.9999% of users. Who needs 50 mile range? 100mW will give you at least 10x the range that normal freestyle/proximity/racers need. Operating at high power basically just drains your batteries faster. Also, operating at high power can screw up other pilots flying in your vicinity.

I have to pinch. My hands (and thumbs) shake too much, especially after my morning pot(s) of coffee. My index finger helps steady the shaking.
Did the sma antenna adapter only come with the review kit? My T Pro ELRS edition did not come with that adapter.

Yes if we run edge tx we get faster gimbal polling and elrs is faster to process the signal. These will make the quad respond faster

Which one should i get? Is 250mw 2.4ghz elrs enough for my needs?
1 watt is really on needed for the most extreme environments at the furthest range …range like many kilometers
I didnt get an antena adapter with the internal version. Hmm.
They upgraded the pro with a on/off switch which replaced the rotary on the right.
That was a huge complain because in the previous one a arm/disarm was not possible.
I am not sure, if I want the lite or pro.
I have no problem to have a spare 18650 with me.
I read, that the pro has some issues the lite does not have.
I also read, that the internal ELRS was capped.
Does anyone have evidence for that?
I only buy this version because of the added range.
But if I only get the max range with the external device, I will get the 4-1 instead.

I need help with charging of the transmitter. On its top there is a USB C port where I am suppose to plug a USB C cable and the charging should be on by default. But what's happening
- As soon as I connect the charger, The transmitter Power button light and LCD light comes on and goes out within a second. That's it. No indication or display for charging.
- I have to keep the transmitter ON and then keep it connected to the USB C charging cable "imagining" that it gets charge only when is ON. But still no charging indication is there. Since the Tx is ON it starts beeping after few minutes. Have to keep stick moving frequently.
What is the standard protocol for charging Jumper T pro?
The radio should be off to charge. The green power button is on while charging, the light goes off when the charging is complete. Does the radio have batteries inserted?
What's the elrs module with diamond antenna called? Is it compatible with the old jumper t lite?

Yep. Just did it myself. You have to open it up and adjust some screws on the gimbals. It’s like any other radio, so I’m sure if you search for a tutorial you’ll be able to figure it out

As someone who was dumb enough to buy a DJI FPV I can say that they pretty much molded that remote and added some buttons. It's too similar to be inspired by it.

lol. If you like the t-lite and the zorro battery life isn't a deal breaker that would be the one to move to. But you always have your riot to keep the t-lite on the market.

What camera is this, looks good quality?
that is the runcam nano 3. Outside its not has good, doesn't handle direct sunlight as good and if the quad isn't stable or the camera isn't well mounted it tends to show jello more

@@bbsheppo It could be that, but also youtube doesn't encode all video equally, some channels with less views get a lesser encoding quality, and I also don't do fullscreen on the dvr, as that makes the video appear so much worse than it is.
Nick, got a question when I’m Using my BetaFPV transmitter with my Emax hawk pro and go a fair distance away what are those four little ⭐️ symbols that pop up on your goggles, is that some kind of failsafe warning? if not what does it mean?
I presume that is likely the battery warning? Low voltage? That can also be the beeper indicator. Check your modes tab and the switches to see if you have the beeper active when you see those stars on screen.
@@NickBurnsFPV Nick, it’s not my battery I have my battery warnings an other settings set, and it’s not when the battery is low because the battery was full. it seems when I’m going a certain distance I get like four ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ type symbols and they pop up in the middle of the goggles and it seems like it’s a distance or interference thing because of my BetaFPV transmitter/receiver, or maybe getting out of range type of warning and that’s why I thought it was a weak signal-fail safe type warning? it’s not my battery warnings or anything related to that I’m not sure what it is and it only happens when I go a certain distance, an my VTX is set to 25 Mw also if that has anything to do with the warning am getting on my EV800D goggles? But that would only affect the Video Range distance using the VTX power settings, Right?
@@diggsit69 It could be a range issue and the warning indicating a low rssi, do you have the rssi element on in the osd? And this only happens at a distance but you don't actually failsafe? Is your betafpv radio the version with expresslrs or are you using frsky protocol?
@@NickBurnsFPV Nick, yes I do have the RSSI set on the OSD for all my Emax type drones in Beta Flight, an yes am using the Frsky protocol on the BetaFPV 2 transmitter that it came with an the Emax - Hawk Pro an TinyHawk 2 freestyle drones as well. So if that’s just the RSSI warning me that I am near the antennas full distant Range, if so what would be the easiest way to increase this, A better transmitter that has a antenna but not one built in like the betaFPV comes with? Or changing out the Dipole antenna on the Hawk Pro with a better antenna like crossfire, or something else if I didn’t wanna go the crossfire route, or is this where Zorro express LRS is the Best option?
@@diggsit69 Antenna won't do all that much. In range tests we have seen over 1km of range on frsky d16 protocol, but that is high up in the air with clear line of sight. The range will vary greatly. If your using d8 receivers and protocol the range will be far shorter, in either case there isn't much to do with it to increase it, but it is worth noting location and rf interference also plays a role in range. A change in protocol to crossfire or elrs is likely the next choice to increase control link range.

Lol, no its analog. I fly raceband 8, and my location at the table is important. My location is centered and in an open space. If I move even to the couch the reception isn't as good.
@@NickBurnsFPV is there something special about Raceband or Raceband 8 in particular? Sadly you can´t legally transmit anything over 5.880 in Germany lol.
@@overlookedundead8711 raceband is up above wifi frequency. the other alternative is the turn off wifi while flying and see if that helps. Certainly don't be close to the wifi router. :)

Hey Nick. I’m sorry to be suck a pain in the butt. But I can’t seem to find the answer on my own. I have 3 beta fpv 65 hD fc. Each time I hook up one up all the motors spin in same direction. This has happened to all three. I use a jumper tlite but I doubt the radio has anything ti do with it. If you could help I would be very grateful. Again! ☺️
sir I have a few question for that elrs issue. First, I wonder if I fix it once, whether it will ever happen again, and second, does that issue only happen when I try an update

ı bought internel ELRS version of this tx . I have some issues cant find solution . Can you help me please.
when ı set it up to hight tx power (250 mw or 500 mw ) . Speaker have some parazite sound . and pitch and roll values on betaflight shaking badly . when ı reduce the tx power it is getting well .
I haven't heard of that issue before. I would suggest reaching out to jumper support. I don't know what the fix for these symptoms would be.

express lrs aion rx mini receiver turns solid green as soon as I insert the battery. It doesn't go into bind mode. why could it be ?
I suspect we had a flash not finish or flashed the wrong target. Sounds like the rx is stuck in boot loader mode. This is the expresslrs page on that rx. www.expresslrs.org/2.0/quick-start/receivers/rx-jumper-aion/

I pretty much fly cheap modded old school angle or horizon mode brushed motor whoops in the house and thumbing works the best for me although if I ever learned acro then I think pinching would be better. The only real problem with thumbing for me occasionally is slippage and I can't believe somebody hasn't invented some kind of a harness to keep your thumbs on stick ends but still be able to pivot or maybe some good old duct tape would get the job done
What Rates do you use to fly ACRO so well in the house?
I use pretty high rates. Pitch and roll are 1.2 and super on pitch and roll is .75. yaw is 1.30 and .8. These are betaflight rates btw
Will either or both of these work with a 900mhz antenna module?
Not sure if I understand. The transmitter as well as the receiver both have to be on 900mhz as well as the antenna to be 900mhz to work effectively.

@@NickBurnsFPV the Taranis x lite pro is a 2.4ghz radio, and it works with my 900mhz module and 900mhz rx combo… was hoping the same module (r9m lite pro) (I hate these naming conventions) could be installed on a Jumper, and get the same functionality. The ergonomics of the xlite pro are not great imo… just wanna swap radios but keep all the other equipment. But so far haven’t found a definitive answer on if this will work. Maybe something to try in a video? I haven’t seen anyone else talking about it. But I’m sure there are lots of 900mhz users who would like to know the answer before buying blindly, or avoiding certain equipment. Thank you for all you do and your input.
@@John_Doe_6996 yes in the case of using an external module that is 900mhz it will bind with the same protocol 900mhz receiver. I thought the question was binding a 2.4ghz module to a 900mhz receiver and the opposite.
The best pilots are pinchers of some type. More muscle groups = more speed and precision with coordination of muscle groups in the hands
Goes both ways, huh? Not the antenna. That stuff is 50% empty so half of it is just purely for aesthetic. This and the momentary switches and the "6 position switch" are so dumb. The zorro is better even though it has weird choices too. The bfs (big effing screen) and the tiny batteries are probably the result of them balancing a poorly placed lanyard...

If you tilt the antenna up slightly the sd card slides right out.

Nick get urself a quality set of 18650's, if my eyes don't deceive me those are like ultra fire batteries or something and there labels and construction are complete lies and cannot do any kind of amp draw and I doubt the mah they can do is much more than 1000mah which is terrible, just a heads up, longgggg time watcher and your videos are great!
yea, I am aware. I had them when radios started using 18650, figured I might as well use them until they die, then replace. I bought others (Panasonic and Sony) to use for 18650 quads.

1W ELRS is useless for 99.9999% of users. Who needs 50 mile range? 100mW will give you at least 10x the range that normal freestyle/proximity/racers need. Operating at high power basically just drains your batteries faster. Also, operating at high power can screw up other pilots flying in your vicinity.
