Also an awesome season finale. Which is honestly true every season. All 4 season finales so far have been epic (though I think the season 2 finale was the weakest of the 4).
@@hrishigaikar1943 Fair point, though I disagree. The season 1, 3, and 4 finales all had an epicness (is that a word) to them that Good Day to Die doesn't have. Almost like mini-movies.
@@RushFan-2112 I agree season 2 doesnt have that Epicness but I feel like it makes up for it with a very strong emotional core, I was crying by the end of season 2 but I didnt do that for any other finale.
Mark 18:52. "Frosty" is also the brand name for a root beer! As is "Dad's". Albeit, I haven't seen any in awhile. I used to see them in soda pop vending machines that dispensed glass bottles that could be returned for the deposit. Back in the day, one machine was allowed to have competing brands. I saw "Dad's Root Beer" and "Frosty Root Beer" together in a vending machine inside the local "Safeway" before it became a "Homeland". You could go to a full-service fuel station and as your vehicle was serviced, you could get a soda pop from their machine. 😊
The way the conversation devolved into an argument about pudding vs. ice cream vs. frozen yogurt vs. frosties vs. icees... Cracked. Me. UP. That was marvelous.
For Eric! Okay, as a Type 2 Diabetic, I'm not supposed to eat regular ice cream anymore. Ahem. Calling tea "unsweetened" is a misnomer, by the way! Why bother to make sweet tea, and then unsweeten it? It would be easier to just make tea the English way! Well, "Sugerless" is meant to help decrease your sugar intake, as with "sugarless gum". "Sugar-free"? That's meant to help you avoid obesity and Type 2 Diabetes, but overusage of it can lead to Type 1 Diabetes! However, I've used "Sugar-Free" when... "Splenda" and/or "Zero Sugar" weren't available. I began using that brand name product when I was reading sweetener packets at a diner, and "Splenda" was the only one designated safe for Type 2 Diabetics to use! The one in the pink and blue packet that had the cancer risk warning label wasn't among the packets. Eventually someone made "Zero" and then formula was updated and it became "Zero Sugar". But not every restaurant got the memorandum and "Coke Zero" was still seen on their fountain handles. Ditto with other brands.
Rewatching this episode with the pudding vat always reminds me of a real case that happened in Green Bay, Wisconsin, when I was in college. There was a man who was murdered, found in one of the big paper mill vats, and it turned out the culprit was a GROUP of his fellow employees -- I can't remember what he caught them doing, but they were afraid he'd tell on them, so they killed him. It was particularly memorable to me because one of my college buddies worked in the paper mill during the summers, and he said, "All I can say is, I hope that guy was already dead before they threw him in the vat. That is a horrible way to go." That comment has haunted me ever since.
There was a joke in the previous episodes that Dan would be Lucifer's step-Dan if he got together with Charlotte so yeah Dan knows about their "relationship"
Mark 19:57. Aaron, at least you don't live in Oklahoma! Adult males are banned by law from using profanity in the presence of women and minors. When Marilyn Manson was arrested at his own concert, that's how I learned of it! But it isn't a Victorian Etiquette thing as I first thought. We weren't a state back then! "Women are ladies who would not use such foul language and children are innocent!" I imagined Queen Victoria making such a proclaimation. 😁 But actually it is tied in to Verbal Abuse and Emotional Anguish as a part of the whole package with Spousal Abuse, Elderly Abuse, and Child Abuse. Though the man that recorded Manson's concert to gather evidence, was a self-proclaimed "Christian Vigilante" seeking moral superiority. I feel like I may have explained this to you before. 🤔
Funnily enough, I actually got dual kidney stones a couple of years back, at a time when I was eating pudding pretty regularly... Though I think it was because I was also drinking massive amounts of Mtn Dew.
Did your pudding also claim high protein content? Because this element is actually taken from real life: the two ingredients Ella managed to read from the bucket labels actually form a low-soluble complex that eventually forms kidney stones, while each of these can be used (and historically has been by some companies) to falsify determining of protein content in food by simpler/cheaper assays that actually calculated it from determination of general nitrogen. You can check this on FDA website - it did cause a significant stir on several cases with animal and baby food about a decade before this episode was filmed.
@@tatewakinew I have no idea honestly, because it was just the pudding included at my school's sub line that I tended to frequent a couple times a day towards the end of the year. It didn't really say much about what was in it, or if it did, I didn't read it. It was just the kind of thing you grabbed on your way out.
Someone help a Brit. I tried googling, but I'm still confused. Is pudding the same thing as cold custard? Or since custard usually contains eggs, is it more like mousse? (Mousse is fluffy and has little bubbles in, cutard is thicker, no bubbles, but not normally eaten on it's own - it's usually a side for cake). I want to try pudding!!
There is no pudding in UK?!? Here in Croatia you can buy pudding dust for making it home in every supermarket. You just add it to warm milk, stir and simmer it a bit and voila!
While this season wasn’t my favorite, not by a long shot especially due to Marcus and certain romances being weak and underdeveloped, Charlotte’s character arc was the best part of this season and one of my favorites in the series.
