I bet once again like all mad stuff. New biso, mobo, and chipset drivers theae will mature just fine. Also when they push higher wattage. Who knows. Still a better xpu than an intel that suffers from currosion and crashing, with no refund from intel. Also not worth upgrading for the 4k gamers. We need better gpus to be honest.
9700x has poor performance only on stock bios options! Enable PBO, turn on Curve Optimizer, add 100 mhz boost, scalar 5x-10x and you will see the difference!
It would still trail behind the 7800X3D in gaming performance. What you said could make a noticeable difference in terms of the 9700X performance. However, after two years, this is a lackluster performance uplift. It's hard to deny that. Disappointing to say the least.
AMD can PBO and lift power restrictions. In some overclocking video tests I have seen, AMD is better. Don’t blindly rely on Intel. 13-14 generation CPUs are a disaster!!!
amd nailed it in efficiency and in some games it outperforme the i9, but as all say, these are their allrounder, not only gaming cpu, just wait until the x3d comes :) have high hopes
Strange. 9700x was only better in 2 games, which tested with built-in benchmarks. Wondering in real game scenes, it can also keep the lead over 14700k!
The i7 10700F (8 cores) is an excellent CPU for gaming but the i7 14700KF offers you more cores (12cores) and higher frequencies but also better performance than the 10700F. I repeat that the 10700F is more than enough to play !! 😎👍
not bad for a 65W chip vs 200W. Just imagine R7 9700X set to same power envelope as 14700K. AMD is reserving Zen5 to fight Lunarlake. Zen5 X3D vs Lunarlake... fight!
So 14700k Is 5% on avarage faster that 9700x however 9700x has "only" 8C/16T and a TDP of 65 Watts!!!! In addition 13 the and 14th gen of Intel CPU have a huge issue according to the latest reports!!
Why AMD shows so low results in most games? It's new 9700 processor not an old 7800, but Intel beats it with greater results in many modern games. We need comparison of 9950 vs 14700K to understand what is going on. I suppose that many modern games engines provide threads parallelization with a low load for each thread. For example, 10 threads with 30% load is better than 2 threads with 60% load.
Efficient yet hold back by power limits and cannot sustain 5.5Ghz advertised all core boost. IPC increase if there is some is not showing in gaming. So a flop launch... Waiting for 9800x3D if it will be better price/performance than 7800x3D

i own 14700 ks and very happy with waterccooling on it
the interesting part is that in programs 9700X show impressive efficiency marching 7700X (140W) with only 88W or power
but in games where the 7700X use 60-100W depend on the game this CPU sit at 88W no matter what and at all games, making it may times actually less efficient than the 7700X.
basically it the same as happen in Ghost of Tsushima in this video as well.
maybe still buggy sensors, thats motherboard manufacturer's job
@@iikatinggangsengii2471 well few days later and after the HUB review with the 7700 65W its safe to say its not a buggy sensor.
that CPU just sit at 88W no matter what game u are running.
How do you keep those temperatures at 14800k?
Ambient temperature, good airflow and good cooler
Did you disable the SMT? Someone said it will increase the performance.
Look at the stutters and lows in Cyberbug 20666. 8 cores are clearly not enough for CPU-dependent games
Well done!
Seems like the new gen only improved in other workloads than gaming significantly... so no upgrqde time for gamers. But AMD said they are planning to optimize x3d CPUs in different ways (more ways than 7000x3d) so that one might be a surprise coming in a few months.
its actually what im worried abt
Which if you do on 7700x will have same result. This cpu is still ~ 7-10% faster than 7700x.
ryzen 7 7900x + 4070 ti super 16gb is a good combo?
Yeap best one
8:21 where is rdr2?
But why ddr5 6000 if that’s the sweet spot for the amd. But not for the intel ?
Can you test 7800x3D vs 9700x in CS2
Can you retest? New windows 11 update improves fps
Why less ram for i7 ? 32 gb on amd is boosting the cpu
The R7 9700X runs cool and efficient at 88 watts-but it’s also serving up low FPS! 😄
It looks like consumption monitoring is broken, it is locked at 88w with a 30% load like 90%.
Ryzen 4070 gang 💀>
Is it worth upgrading my intel i7-10700F to the i7-14700K?
The i7 10700F (8 cores) is an excellent CPU for gaming but the i7 14700KF offers you more cores (12cores) and higher frequencies but also better performance than the 10700F. I repeat that the 10700F is more than enough to play !! 😎👍
So basically intel i7 14700k with 8+12+28 is a dust here.....
Yes
14700k has better 1% low fps and better 0.1% fps means way better smooother experience than 9700x
not bad for a 65W chip vs 200W.
In addition 13 the and 14th gen of Intel CPU have a huge issue according to the latest reports!!
the cpu is real deal, like top of the line perf w 65w like lul, pentium g power
And now we have 9800x3d a new king that beats old king 7800x3d.Amd finally managed to beat Amd after poor Zen 5 vanilla gaming uplift.
7800x3d is ass, that shitty cpu can't even do streaming
AMD will increase Ryzen 5 9600X and Ryzen 7 9700X TDP from 65W to 105W, with AGESA 1.2.0.1a Patch A.
The game does not test the processor. It depends a lot on the optimization of each producer.
@@Daniel_Martin777 Probably no, 88w locking allows the processor to show 5,3Ghz freq that is obviously enough. I bet on modern games optimization.
Intel was 2x8 Gigs where AMD was 2x 16?
big letdown
haha.. keep the I7 14700k.. yeah sure you got a good one.
88w @Ryzen 9700x. guess ur not using open powerlimits. (pbo) default ist weak at the moment.
its tdp 65w so its locked 65w
but ryzen 7000 indeed can be set to 170w so maybe youre correct, can be unlocked
@@iikatinggangsengii2471 "der8bauer EN" did it and it was actually ~170 watts and significantly more computing power.
why can i play this video in background. i dont even have a youtube premium
X version should have been at least 100 watts, unnecessary restriction from amd in desktop segment
i like 65w more, true their typical 140 prob would win, prob smth like 9790x will happen who knows
Ah yes, we have unstable cpu vs marginal improvement cpu, test in 10 games
9700x not very impressive
14700k - 380$

Yo your RTX 4090 Clock speed is 15 MHz diff
3:43 let's ride horse and check fps
The Witcher or Red Dead 😂?
You set AMD fixed TDP
it design as fixed TDP Because of chiplets
This rysen 7 9700 is in a weird spot. There is no reason to buy it. Amd should start releasing just the x3d models for 8 cores.
4090 is yawning at these CPUs. It's time for AMD and Intel to play catch-up.
14700 vs 9800x3d
9700x is the way more expensive than i7 14700k in my country 😪
Intel power draw is high but it's cooler than 9700x...wtf
because intel have the best packaging in the world. that is also the reason why intel can use 10nm beat tsmc 4nm
better wait for price cut.
thanks for CS
actually 9950x vs 14900k, then 9900x vs 14700k. 9700x must be compared with 14600k.
In my place, 9700x is priced higher than 14700k.. so pricing wise, it is the right comparison.
It still loses, the I5 is faster
Why does hogwarts look like fable on 360 lol
And CRACK ANNNDDD CRACK
I have the 9700x whit an rx 7900xtx and im glad!!! Nice cpu for gaming and general use 👌
I highly doubt only 8 cores is enough for productivity
14700k much better in productivity and also games? Well 9700x is doa.
Efficient yet hold back by power limits and cannot sustain 5.5Ghz advertised all core boost. IPC increase if there is some is not showing in gaming. So a flop launch... Waiting for 9800x3D if it will be better price/performance than 7800x3D
still 67 fps in hogwarts legacy at 1080p lol.. ridiculous.
Nothing can explain Hogwarts Legacy performance, wtf!
now both at 5.5ghz
