  • I suddenly had a bunch more space in my library/office room, so I rearranged everything and pulled a bunch of books out of boxes and reorganized my bookshelves - so come along on the journey and let me know if you have any recommendations for (no cost) improvements :)

Whenever we finally end up moving, I’m hoping to get a lovely comfortable arm chair for in front of my shelves… but I’m happy with to at least have some sitting options for now

This worked perfect for me to watch eating lunch taking a break from my own project. Your realization, when you looked at your bookshelves & thought about the books in boxes... I just had that happen, with th added realization I'll have even less space for books after my move.
I've been arraigning my books on shelves by porosity. Top priority to keep goes on the top shelves (either tbr or read) & it descends from there. Sometimes even favs are lowered because I can easily read them as an ebook & they should be easy enough to eventually replace. Anything graphic heavy (so not ideal on an ereader & prolly harder/more expensive to replace) stays. I'm trying to come up with other idea's that might help me get rid of more books. I like my books, it's hard to get rid of some of them. But I know I just won't have teh space (& the less stuff I have, potentially the cheaper & easier the move will be).
Now I'm inspired to get back to my own project, lol. Thanks!
P.s. I've done the same, putting my couch in the lounge/living room. Sometimes it just works out better.

Prioritising your books must be hard but it sounds like you're being very organised and pragmatic about it.
Yay, nice to find someone else with their bed in thelounge. We found that mostly the lounge was wasted space since we're too introverted to be having guests often, so it was a big room that we only used for sitting on the couch sometimes. Now we use the space so much more and it's a way nicer bedroom than the actual bedrooms lol

Yay spacious book room office!! The shelves together looks really nice. Rachel looks happy! Wait which spelling do you use for Rachel? Can Ramsey visit her on the shelf too? 🐏

Rachael spells her name Rachael 😁 she definitely prefers being a librarian to being a studio assistant/security.
Ramsay can visit her but mostly he just stays in bed all day now that it's in the lounge 😅
