This man will be talked about years after he and the present generation is gone. What a talent and inspiration.
Love, loved my time with Tommy!
Hi Teresa. Thanks for this interview, any chance to get Part 2 before Christmas?
It`s absolutely ridiculous how good this guy is he makes the pros look like amateur`s !!
Wow,Tommy you are so humble!! Love you!!!
Wonderful music genius and beautiful person! Big hug to you Tommy ❤❤
Whether he's playing or talking, he's just simply the most uplifting person I've ever seen. He just makes you feel better about the world 💕
So true, such a wonderful man
I cannot believe that Tommy can play This Masquerade on an acoustic guitar.
Wonderful soul.
He knows he's good, yet he is so full of love and respect for others. A true gentleman and superlative musician.
Great interview. Thanks Teresa. Karl Sapulpa, OK
Just to hear Tommy talking about music, you can feel that he is the greatest guitar player ever... And his words made me a guitar player than his playing... Thank you Tommy Emmanuel 🎸❤️
I am a fan of Tommy, but No, he is not "the greatest guitar player ever"... and I am sure Tommy knows that too.
@@joe-sydney-au you're the only one who can say it, you are not a guitar player for sure,
What a great musician and guy Tommy is! He is really amazing and legendary guitar player. Eric himself is amazing person and we know that.
Legend
Listening to his talks is as mesmerizing as listening to his guitar playing.. He is simply the best of all... God bless you TE...
This is the best Christmas present ever !
Thanks Teresa
Great insight from Mr. Emmanuel!
🐐
fairly heavy talk for a change, good to hear some compassion on another serious side
I long for part 2 !
Great interview! Your enthusiasm is catching!
Thank you for uploading this interview. It's just huge!
Tommy seriously is one of God’s gifts! When Ronald Reagan died I was upset. When Ray Charles Died I was shattered. I was in my first year (1980) when Lennon was shot to death it felt like to me the dark clouds wouldn’t leave. When Tom Petty passed, I never played a bluer version of Breakdown and never will! Legends? Yes rejoice while we got em! TE and EC these are Legends but better, they make everyone feel better. SRV, BB, Jose Feliciano. Please just listen to Carlos and Jose join to play Samba Pa Ti. Thanks for the post.
First year of USMC, sorry.
Cool interview, but the Jesus Christ Superstar tour poster in the video (at 0m30s) is from the rather lame 2012 UK cast tour, not the long-revered 1975/1976 Australia one, that's referenced by Tommy. That was where Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock first met each other (both being in the chorus) and Tommy, who came on-board as the tour guitarist. The three leads were 1972 cast originals, Trevor White, Jon English plus Mary-come-lately Chrissie Hammond (excellent and very versatile vocalist - founder member of Air Supply in 1975, while all three were on the JCS tour; fronted Cheetah, alongside sister Lindsay, 1976-1984 and became Rick Wakeman's prefered lead vocalist for over 12 albums).
