Turning on sand mode, disabling traction control, and having slightly more mud-focused tires would’ve helped on the steep incline. Just point, yeet, and pray.
The handling seems pretty bad but solid truck otherwise for the cheap. I would get the hybrid due to gas prices.
Have you driven one? Because I've owned one, a hybrid, for close to two years. The handling is quite decent. It's not gonna match a sports car, or hot hatch, but it feels way more stable, and linear than larger trucks and SUVs. The steering has a heavier height to it, which more people seem to like, the turn-in is ok, not a ton of body roll, the turning circle is about average.
Overall, for an affordable vehicle, not bad. It beats our Kia Rio that would literally wiggle the wheel and float around at highway speeds.

Cause he’s an idiot I’ve seen worst, I had drivers that have the left lane free but prefer for some reason to switch into the exit lane, accelerate and cut through me on the right lane when driving the semi

@@jakejohnson9827 bronco sport possibly. But the market for a small efficient truck like the maverick is huge. Even if it holds up terrible long term, it’s still gonna sell like crazy.
@@legostarwarsrulezThe funny thing is, it seems like these will hold up quite well long term. The oldest ones are about 3 years old now, getting to that age where you can start to make some educated guesses about long term quality. Most people haven't had any issues.
To put it into perspective, the maverick ranks higher in reliability than the Toyota Tacoma, with an above average reliability rating compared to the below average rating some of Toyotas trucks have. It's also on the most reliable affordable vehicle, and most reliable hybrids lists.

How many trucks does Ford need? They already have the super duty series, F150 and the Ranger. Usually I like Fords new vehicles but I think this is way too small to be a pickup truck. Also I really wish they would bring back some of their sedans like the fusion and the Taurus.
Considering how well these are selling it makes sense to have it. Have you ever tried driving a pickup in a congested city? Also, no one wants sedans anymore so it makes no sense to make them
We’re Americans, we like trucks. Plus sedans are very small, and people utilize trucks more.
Sedans are worse than hatchbacks/sportbacks in every way except style. So having only crossovers (bloated hatchbacks) and trucks in your fleet does make sense.
