Thank you for the video. Headed there next month.
Thanks for the video. Very informative and I liked how you told it how it is. Best wishes to you both!
Thanks for sharing, enjoy 😊
Looks like you both had a great time God bless you both
Nicer than when we last saw it. Only been there once! And didn't spend time at port. Went into Mahahual by taxi. Will be at this port in April. Because of your video we might just hang out in port! Looks nice enough. Going to check on ships in port for our day there. Thank you!
Costa Maya have change since I first went there with my family. It's was a new port for RCCL and after 9/11. Quite interesting how the port have change alot since then. Enjoy your cruise.
Good to see the construction on the 'back' side is completed! Going to be there in 3 weeks, been there before and this refreshes my memories of it..Thanks for posting!
How was it
@@andreaharris4683 It was fine..You gotta try the little taco stop on the right just before the back exit..Most excellent! Wish I could remember the name tho...LOL
Wow that's nice. Costa Maya has stepped their game up! We'll be back there in June 2024. It's currently 22 degrees here in D.C. as I write this, and I can't wait to get back to the wam Caribbean sunshine! Thanks for the added perspective on the crowd size. We'll be arriving on the MSC Seashore (5,100 pax double occupancy) so I can see how crowded it will be if there are two or more ships in port with us this summer.
We are in the Jubilee this week and there were four ships in port and it was so busy. I will have another video coming out soon covering the port again
Look at that video! There is so much to do in the port of Costa Maya
We really enjoy your style of recording. It doesn't feel rushed! You provide a lot of different camera angles and talk a lot about what you experience! Your videos have a big impact on our travel decision! (Wes & Karen, Houston Texas / Galveston)
Awesome. Thanks for the feedback back Wes I really appreciate it
We will be there in about four months. Your videos are a great guide! Looking forward to the rest of your trip!
How was it
@@andreaharris4683 hot, humid, lots of walking, but really very fun.
Thanks for the video
Thank you so much!
Love Costa Maya , it’s been a few years since we’ve been there , definitely looking forward to going back next April.
It’s probably changed some if it’s been several years that you’ve been there. Have fun
Another Great Video!!! Excellente on giving info and tips!!! Look at how many views you had on this Video!! You are doing something right Myke!!! 😂👍 Such Great Info to get before leaving on a Cruise!! I'm enjoying your Videos of all the ships you guys have been on!!! Love your Channel!!! 🤗❤️👍🙋🏻♀️
Thank you so much Kim. This channel is actually out performing my Farm channel
This video was great! Going in October as a solo cruiser and just hanging there looks great instead of trying to figure out an excursion to take. Thank you!!
Thank you for watching we appreciate it
Costa Maya has changed since we were there. We use to take the transportation to the Turtle Club. First drink free. Kayaks and boards are free to use.
Thank you for this video! We will be there in a few weeks!!!
How was it
@@andreaharris4683 VERY crowded. We planned on going to the Crazy Lobster but the bailed at the last minute. Still had a great time!
@@joemichaels4231 is a passport needed
It was so so so freaking hot when we were there omg
Thank you so much for your information. I am going here in Nov 2024
I will have another Costa Maya video coming out in a week or so. We were just there again a week ago while on the Carnival Jubilee. It was a totally different experience since there were 4 ships docked and two were Mega Ships
Look at that video, there is so much to do in the port of Costa Maya
We’ll be there in April 2024. Very informative!
We will be there late April as well
Same!
Thanks! Will be there Feb 11 2024. Had no idea it was so nice. Was planning to stay on board. Not now. Will be wearing bathing suits.
There are three pools, I only saw two originally but we are back this week on the Jubilee and there is an additional pool area we missed it’s right to the left when you get through the port building and it’s right up against the ocean and great views of the ships from there.
Thanks for the video. It looks nice. I was wondering if they saved your chairs at the first pool so you could use them when you came back to them. I would also like to know how much it was at the 2nd pool, but it seems like you didn't find out that info.
The walk from the ship/pier is likely over a mile, so if you want to get off the ship at this port, better have good walking shoes, sun block and lots of water for the walk.
Last winter there was 4 ships in port. NCL,virgin, carnival and Royal down the beach
There was 4 in port this week 2 of them were mega ships and it got super busy
@@FowlerFamilyFun I’m disliking the mega ships, personally anything 4000 is too large. The celebration was a disaster will never sail them again issue after issue too long to type but I’ll be doing a complete breakdown the ports were amazing Porta Plata was disgusting and dirty but neat to see where moves were filmed and monkey land was cool.
I’m trying to talk Deb into going be more this winter but it’s not working. Lol
Never been there. Though we only been on two cruises. Would love to see the Mayans ruins.
The ruins are great, you would enjoy the excursion
Just got back from there. It was ok. The vendors are out of control though and kind of spoiled our time there. Had some margaritas which made up for the harassment. Didn’t go on an excursion nor in the pool. Just explored what we could and went back on the ship. Maybe next time will do the ruins.
Costa Maya was nothing like this in early 2018 the last time I left. Glad to see that it's there, but the prices seem crazy. Why not just charge upfront a resort fee?! Thanks for the info. I've been looking everywhere for it!
I was there last week!!! (Jubilee)...
We were on Feb 3rd Jubilee and it was way to crowded
Hey creator friends!! Very helpful video! What was the new area out by the exit gate like? Did they put in another pool? It was under construction the last time we were there. Thanks! -- Sherri
yes it looked brand new and I really don't think any one was using it but the staff was working the area
There was four there last week. It was packed.
Yeah it gets crazy with 4 ships there
We're coming in on Icon of the Seas so we assume the port will be a madhouse. We booked Jaime's Blue Reef instead.
It’s gonna be busy for sure if you stay in the port all day go all the towards the back where the pool is less crowded
I thought there was trolley service ship to port on the pier. Im mobility limited. Is that not the case?
How long did you save your seats by the pool?
Is there a charge to swim? I heard you say $16 for the chairs
We found there was a ton of sea garbage walking down the peir
Is this for RC only or all ships? Trying to decide what to do here in June coming off Carnival Jubilee!
Yes this one dock allows all ships. We have been there on Royal and Carnival in the last 6 months
We don't get there until 1pm
How did you from the Lost Mayan Kingdom: Zipline & Water Park? Did carnival provide a ride back or did you have to pay for a taxi to get back to ship?
If you book through Carnival they will provide transportation. If you book off the ship sometimes it’s provided sometimes you have to taxi
My goodness I had one of these and it was terrible made me ill.
Did you have get off the ship pretty early in order to get a good seat? Did the pool get overly crowded through out the day?
we did get off early and got to pick any seat we wanted. The Pool does get a little crownded but really its the area around the pool thats overly crowded but the new pool in the back near the exit is also open now
Why would I want to sit in a tourist trap with a thousand other people when I can just walk through said tourist trap and find a taxi to a nice beach?
Yes that’s what a lot of people do. Some don’t like to be outside of a secured area tho so this is a safe option
You spent $50 in the first five minutes. You could have gotten an excursion for $59 at a private beach with a free ride food included
Very true
Hi, are there any rent/complimentary lockers at the port? Thanks
Yes there are over by the dolphin encounter area. But not really sure if it’s for everyone or just people participating in the Dolphin encounter
I'm staying on the ship in costa maya, Icon of the seas will be there when we are there so that will be too many people for me and I have the drink package on the cruise why pay for expensive drinks if i have free ones on the cruise
Agree with that, I would probably do the samething
The ship is a five minute walk away. Why didn’t you go back and get your suits. Or bring them in the first place since you’re off the ship 😂
So we follow the beach break signs to get to that pool area?
Yes all three pool area are to the left
Do they have texas holdem tables, with dealers??
yes but they have a very High Rake. Usually just one table going
What time is the big pool area the busiest?
Around 12-1
if you have the drinking package can you use it here off the ship?
No, you cannot use it off the ship at Costa Maya
BOOMER!
SOONER
haha
This was so boring the only think it convinced me is that I have to get an excursion or why bother to get off the ship at all?
Yeah you should definitely get an excursion
I would not be allowed to sit as do not drink an would hate to put money out for a drink that would not drink.
With that logic fun things just aren’t for you. Lol
Costa Maya hasn't always been this way. The pool and seating were available without having to make any kind of purchase. We were disappointed to find things had changed and returned to the ship for the day.
Nope dont want to go back there
What’s this location called?
This is Costa Maya Mexico port of call for all cruise ships.
Is their any public beaches on these cruises
Yes there are public beaches but they won’t have any security usually and may not be close to a bar.
Costa Maya. My least favorite place
What, you seem to "almost" complain about everything. You are on vacation. Why would you leave your suits if you knew you wanted to sit by the pool. Why would you order before your wife, $18 or not? You played poker with Colton last night but she had to wait for a drink?
OU sucks
Probably will in the SEC
Look at that video, there is so much to do in the port of Costa Maya
