This is just wonderful!! I love a steel guitar!! When it’s real country music it will always have a steel guitar in the band! Those disgusting disgraceful pop singers today calling themselves country should b so ashamed of themselves!!! They won’t even be remembered when their gone!! They will never be remembered as legends of real old country music!! I was raised on this fine old country music and I am so glad I have a great collection of some of the best old country music and songs!! I never have to listen to that crap they are calling country music today!! It just flat out stinks!!!

The older I get, the more I love the sounds of Lloyd Green, Teen years, Vietnam years, Europe, etc. There is no other sound that actually touches the heart like the steel.. Long live the King... Mr. Green'...

The greatest exponent of the E9th.neck that ever lived. So creative and a sound that instantly recognised as Lloyd Green.

Real country music. What's called country music today is only CMINO, Country Music In Name Only. Lloyd was Charlie Pride's go to pedal steel player.

One of the greats, no doubt. Kids nowadays have no idea what they're missing out on with today's "country music" (and I use that term very loosely) not having a steel guitar played. Sad for them.

When steel is played it is done in a pop format, no soul. This is why I always say a steel guitar is the nearest an instrument comes to being human. If played properly it can mimic all human emotions. Lloyd Green is one of my all-time favourites Speedy West took the steel and made a complete new genre of steel-playing. These are just two examples of the many steel players who I can sit and listen to for hours on end.

I know the second tune is "Bars of Steel", one of Lloyd's own compositions, as I understand it. What is the first tune? Sounds so familiar, but I can put a title with it. Thanks.

First one sounds like dear mama the background music to "Teddy Bear" I could be wrong as usual. The lead instrument was a real piano.
