This reminds me about Type 54 Submachine Gun used in China for couple of years. especially when I see the old photo of Lei Feng holding a Chinese PPS Type 54 Submachine Gun.
They probably will fire if shot with real munitions though, just not shown in video for legal reasons. These guns were mass produced meh quality stamped steel sheet pieces with only a few solid parts, which is almost always the barrel and maybe bolt carrier assembly - which is neat because this usually means anyone with the right tools can make these things. Good luck finding the ammo though.
