He didn't even secure the take down originally. He cheated on the restart with the body lock which he did not have out of bounds. No wonder Galvao is scared to fight Gordon.
@@GhoStDawGG he isn't scared to fight gordon. He doesn't want to risk 500k on a fight. Why would he? For his ego? Galvao is rich. He has a life. He isn't trying to make a name for himself. Can't blame gordon for his pursuit of GOAT status, but don't expect adults with a family and a thriving business to risk 500k to fight gordon Ryan. Maybe galvao is done building his image as one of the best ever. He has a very successful gym so beating gordon Ryan does nothing for him and losing puts him out a lot of cash, so why risk it? To shut gordon up? Maybe, but I doubt it. He will fight gordon for sure if he makes a ton of money and no risk of losing money. Gordon is building the value of the fight, that is, the amount that the fight will bring in. So my guess is that galvao is waiting until it's worth it for him to fight. Will it be a good fight? No. Because gordon is a submission expert, maybe the best of all time, and Andre is a fight winning expert. In a submission only wins fight, gordon will win. Who cares as long as it's a good fight to watch. It will not be very exciting because Andre will have been gone so long from fighting highest level guys like Ryan. But maybe Andre will take this fight verrrry seriously and train his ass off to find ways to win. If he does that, Andre can make it the best BJJ come back fight of all time. I would cheer for Andre, the underdog, to win, just to shut gordon's ego up. Gordon takes nothing for granted, so he will likely destroy Andre. Who knows but for the sake of jiu jitsu, make it happen, and Andre, it's up to you now. Imagine if Andre wins!!!! It will be so bloody great for BJJ and even better for Andre. He will feel sooooo good about himself. I would love to see what kind of stuff gordon is made of by how he would deal with a loss like that against an old man. Oh boy, I just hyped myself into wanting the fight to happen very badly. It will be because I want it to happen. Come on Andre, it's up to you now. Don't wait until gordon is injured or another guy comes along who is a gordon Ryan king killer because then the Andre vs Gordon hype would be fizzled out. It's all in the timing. Isn't BJJ a great thing? My idea is that in order to get to the next level of competitive excitement, we need multi-submission matches. That is, when winning requires more than one submission. For example, winning requiring 2 or 3 submissions or winning rounds. Just imagine fighters going for submissions aggressively right away instead of the boring as hell point accumulation strategy. Maybe points could have a place, but my idea is to get rid of a point total determining the winner without ruining the game/sport/compétition. What do points have to do with ability/skill in any martial art? Just a system to make that determination? Well I don't think so. A good strategist can win mire often than lose being the best at getting the most points instead of being the best at fighting. Nome sane? This matchup will be like getting GSP back for a super fight vs Khabib or Izzy Adesanya or anyone who is in the GOAT list. I think bring back Roger Gracie is much more interesting that Andre galvao. Maybe best would be a super tournament with Gordon, Roger, Andre, Cornelius, and all other fighters who have been superstar GOAT contenders in recent years who still are young enough to compete. Come on, think of the revenue that would bring. No Gi, of course and in my mind make it multiple submission to win. Every BJJ lover in the world would climb Mount Everest to watch that event. Make it a week or two week long event on fight island.

In a lifetime , you can naturally gain maybe 45lbs of muscle lifting . You cannot go from some skinny twig to a huge swollen person. Steroids do that. You can go from being a thin build to an athletic build , or athletic build to looking kinda big but you also don’t do that while remaining Sub 10% body fat. It takes years and years and years of lifting , bulking , and slow cuts .

@@perrypelican9476 also as far as testing , they may test for steroids but not the metabolites of substances that mask the steroids in your urine. So as long as you take the right dosage. Or cycle properly off the drugs you have the muscle mass during competition. Galvao has consistently put on large amounts of muscle and never had to cut . It’s physiologically impossible to be in a caloric deficit (lean) and build muscle . You have to put on far too then lose the fat with a cut (caloric deficit )
I’ve trained at atos and spoken directly with galvao. He has never used and PEDs. Nor has he ever failed a single drug test. Many pro CrossFitters are super jacked without and steroids. It is possible if you train hard and diet properly

Palhares was "clubbing" everyone's head in that competition. But really, it's the refs fault.

E até concordo com o que muitos falam, o ADCC é puro entrenimento, para o show, só compete com convite, não é uma competição aberta.

Pena on his back even when was down in points, I get it he was expecting Andre to allow a triangle.
They need to decrease the time limits. They are not pulling the trigger because they are worried that they will get too exhausted later. Which is kind of what happened to Pena. He would of been taken down anyway, but he was too exhausted for the last 5 minutes.

we need bigger safety zones the fight could have been different had pena not been mauled to the table
They need to make the area they compete in to be something like a big bowl.
Keep your original floor plan size but then gradually raise the sides to resemble a skateboard bowl. So both opponents are trapped in an area and the degree of raising the sides is so that there are no areas where the competitors can wedge/trap a person into.
It would keep the match going without the referee continuously having to reposition the match from the edge of the tables to back into the centre of the mat.
Galvao is nothing but a point player. Never goes for the sub.

ADCC was never intended to be purely Jiu jitsu based competition it’s supposed to welcome all areas of grappling. If a wrestler wins then so be it they were the better grappler
