    Spiral Roundabout - Multi Lane Roundabouts UK is what this video is all about. Roundabouts are confusing as it is, and when it comes to these spiral roundabouts it gets even more confusing for learners, and this is why this video is created. It’s to help learners how to deal with spiral roundabouts and multi lane roundabouts.

    This video explains what is spiral roundabout and then shows in practice how to deal with these spiral roundabouts in the road.
    The difference between a normal roundabout and a Spiral roundabout is that the spiral roundabouts are busy so there are more than 2 lanes to cope with the volume of traffic.
    Now, because there more than 2 lanes it’s difficult to know which lane to take and this is why the spiral roundabout comes in.
    They are fully guided with road markings for every driver to their exit.
    Remember to choose the lane you need by looking for your exit on the road markings and stay on your lane until you complete to leave the roundabout.
    You should keep to the left lane if you intend to go left or straight on and keep to the right lane if you intend to turn right.
    Always keep an eye and keep checking in front of you in case markings direct you to another lane.
    As you enter the roundabout keep to your lane and keep your speed low in 2nd gear. Focus on staying in your lane and it will take you to the correct exit. Remember to check your centre mirror and left mirror and signal left as you pass the exit before yours. This will help alert other drivers of your intention.

    One of the reasons your videos are easy to grasp is because you are to the point nd explain with diagrams and treat viewers as learners. Many other youtube video makers just talk too much which makes it even harder and puts people off track. May Allah reward you brother. Aameen

      How come at 10:01 the dual carriageway is counted an an exit? For the others in the earlier part of the video the first exit was counted as coming off and the other corresponding side for people to come on wasn’t counted. Is it because with that again the left carriage way is to come off and the one next to it is to get on the roundabout?

    Oh my god!!!
    I watched sooo many videos on how roundabouts actually work, had many instructors, but no one ever mentioned this is EXACTLY what the difference is between these two roundabouts. After all this time I thought they are working the same, only on spiral, yes, follow the lane, but keep right always, if you want to go right, because that is the eternal rule in NORMAL roundabouts.
    But no, the thing is, you can (sort of) forget about these things, and the only thing you have to do is to follow the sign and count the exits to tell which lane you have to go into. Jesus, it makes so much sense now, and it was so confusing all along!
    You are the best instructor on RUclips, and thank you very much. I liked, subscribed, clicked on the bell, God bless you, you have no idea how much you helped me actually.

      Regards to Spiral Roundabouts - gain as much knowledge as possible by reading and watching videos, this will give you confidence. Then with the knowledge practice, practice and practice. It's all about knowing and practicing, not the other way. Don't just practice without fully understanding about Spiral Roundabouts. First gain knowledge then just practice.
      When you have more than two lanes on a roundabouts then it's all about what the sign is saying and what the road markings saying. The sign and/or the road markings will tell you which lane you need for your destination. The other thing about learning is not to loose confident and hope. You must be patient, have confidence and hope. This will help you learn.
      Hope this helps and truly wishing you all the best learning and passing!

    At 11:12, you were already in the lane marked for your intended exit (A35). Why did you not stay in that lane, which became the LH lane and was usable for both the A35 and M271? Instead, you crossed the spiral lane markings unnecessarily to change into the middle lane (though I'm sure you looked in your mirror first).

    • @evaluna8100
      @evaluna8100 2 года назад

      You are right. If he stayed in the left lane instead of drifting into the middle lane, then he wouldn’t have to shift back into the left lane during his exit. 🙄🙈

      I see this all the time.
      People in the right-hand lane turning right drift across to the left and force people out of the inside lane which is also for turning right. They need to hug the inside lane on the roundabout and a new lane appears guiding right and to your exit.
      If the instructors can't get it right then no wonder lane discipline on roundabouts is so poor.

      @marco7838 Год назад +2

      So you are saying he should follow through to the left most lane which says only A35 rather than being in the middle lane? That way he wouldn’t have to also switch to the left lane also at his exit.

    It's a very interesting and a very good video, congrat, but the spiral roundabouts are very complicated. The video would be longer and you should show us few example at SAME roundabout.
    Thank you for great work.

    I always get confused on spiral and normal roundabouts mainly because of forgetting how to use them due to years of driving and picking up bad habits and not realising till you get told. Other thing is poor road markings makes it worse. I took my class 3 refresher driving assessment recently and the instructor was appalled by my poor driving and told me to study the highway code before attempting to drive a long heavy vehicle in the future. Thanks.

    That spiral roundabout made me confuse when I will do in actual.you have to look in sign board and into the floor and into the traffic lights and dealing with the clutch,gear,and break that's too much to think in one go for a learner.maybe I don't get nervous if I will pass any spiral roundabout everyday.you made my nose bleed.thanks for the explanation clearly
