I watched my dad for 20 years, collect guns, ammo, food...etc 20 years. everytime he felt sad, or dissapointed with how his life turned out, he would go buy another gun, attachments, ammo...Didn't save a dime. Always parnoid. He pushed his whole family away including me. He disowned me after he thought I took a couple of his guns. We found them after he passed in the attic where he had hid them and then forgot. He guns in the walls, guns under every piece of furniture. Couldn't keep track. He died of alzhiemers. I took care of him the last 3 years of his life. Spoon fed him his fav foods. No one visited him. Not even his own realitives. He only had one friend left, and that guy never visited him either. In the end. House was sold, guns were divided up, food was thrown away. All I left is memories of a good man, who got lost. When I was younger 1-10 he was a different man. But in the end he didn't deal with his real issues. He was always planning for the future end of the world, but never stopped to be present, with his family, his son, his thoughts. He just always fantasied about a world where he would be needed, important, prepared. But it cost him everything. Its a fine line to tow. Be careful.
@havokap1 also it sounds like someone took my short a Lil personally huh big boy. Look I know it's hard for your tiny Lil brain. To try to figure out the chicken or the egg here. But answer lies in the middle. He didn't get alzhiemers from prepping no. But the choices he made including going to deep into conspiracies and isolation caused him to die alone. I'm not saying don't be prepared. That's not the message of this. It's that you can and should prepare. But always remember your death and remember to prioritize relationships as well.
I think the "stigma" is less than it was before Covid. When the lock downs and supply chain issues happened, suddenly the preppers didn't seem so crazy. I do think it's important to keep your preps to yourself, ie: gray man for your own securiy.
Started preparing in 2018. Moved out of an apartment to a 4 room house. Put in a huge garden, gotten chickens, stockpiled beef, pork, and chicken. Stockpiled ammo and a fee more weapons. Our small town has a plan to surround and defend it if things turned ugly. To be honest, it's all fun.
Man I really wish I knew where this town was. I feel like the only person among my community and family/friends petrified to my core of what is going on around us. I want and need to prep but am disabled and don't have much help. It's pretty terrifying seeing and knowing what's to come and feeling pretty powerless to prepare or help yourself. I hope you all take care of and support one another in these uncertain times
Why is nobody asking why they moved the venue for the festival closer to the border? and they took 6 hours to help ppl? how were these people managed to break into the border if their security is so heightened? Something is off with this in BB keeps saying this is his 9/11 so if its your 9/11 you help set it up?!
@@theresabreaudThat's why you can never trust the government cos they'll let a crisis happen and use it for political gains and with the way the borders were open for more than 2 years without any background check something big is coming and it's going to be worse than anything we could think of! And I think both BB and Biden knew about this and let it happen just when the Ukraine conflict is drawing down another war pops up and President Trump predicted it as soon as the 6B dollars were given to Iran and he has been right on so many things!!!
So far, every “prep” I’ve completed has more immediate benefits then I realized. *Rain water - amazingly better water quality *Livestock - amazingly better quality meat (chicken, pork and beef) *Gardening + canning - amazingly better quality vegetables *solar power - obvious benefits *saw mill - building my own cabin(s)
@@etchediniron4249 After many years, I've come to realize there is always "more"... We can never prepare enough, BUT even if we could, do you really want to be a part of that world that remains?
Exactly especially when they are surrounded by a continent of nearly 1 Billion Muslims that want to kill them! Let's put in gun control measures that leave us with 1 gun and 50 rounds even after we did our military service and held a gun every day for 2 years - politicians there even more dumb then our own here!
If they are "allowed" to carry, then they should have had firearms in their homes. If they did, then why no having them in hand after hearing the gunfire and no rocket sounds? Somewhere there was a break down in what was happening. I don't think most had firearms at home. Not one video shows return fire coming back from the attacks. Only one area had a rabbi with firearms defending and killing the terrorists with his "team", after shooting 2 shitbags looking in his windows. Maybe the truth is the Israeli government did make the citizens require permits or other ignorant things that lead to way too many people dying for no reason because they didn't have their firearms at home. I don't know the rules Israeli has, but they weren't armed in a very dangerous country that is always under threat from getting killed in different ways. If they were armed, and all have served in the IDF, they knew what to do and didn't? This is the questions that need to find answers for.
Great content! As an active LEO, I have developed a routine of situational awareness as I leave my house for work. I put my lunch box on the floor of my garage. I pull my patrol car out of the garage, park it in the driveway and pop the rear hatch door. I get out of my patrol car and walk around the passenger side so I can visually check the south gate to my backyard. I grab my lunch box and toss it in the back of my patrol car. As I pull out of my driveway, I double check that my garage door has shut all the way. As I pull in front of my house, I spotlight my POV that's parked in the driveway (making sure there's no damage, etc) and I spotlight the front of my house look for bad guys and also to make sure the north gate is secure. Seems excessive to some, but to me it's become common place. Stay frosty.
True but I would rather try and fail over giving up. Also, many ways I would prepare for food shortages/energy disruptions are the same way I'd prep for many other scenarios.
So what’s your point? Do you think that is some sort of freaking revelation? Like you just uttered some really profound shit? Of course you can never prepare for everything, but you can prepare for a lot of things. The rest is called adapting to the situation and overcoming.
That's where experience and resourcefulness come in to play. However the basics cover those things that are hard to resource in an emergency or would make things significantly better if you had them. When it comes to personal protection and water this is especially true.

I was just talking to my extended family tonight about a lot of the stuff going on in the world right now, and I was surprised how little they were actually aware of. When I mentioned that people need to get prepared for what could possibly happen from all of this craziness, I received odd stares and even some open hostility from some of them. I guess I won't talk to them about that kind of thing again, but I will continue to be vigilant and prepare.
I’ve noticed the boomer generation has complete blind confidence in the government and as long as they aren’t seeing a problem, it doesn’t effect them. They live happy and ignorant lives, problem is they made it a hell hole for the rest of us.
My god this video is unbearable....How can anyone even watch this? I made it 4 minutes....It's all product placement, and just saying LITERALLY over and over and over.....Can these people stop saying Literally for ONE DAY? I don't think they can do it, not for a million bucks. I don't want people like this on my side, this guy is a complete drone & Black Rifle Coffee is evil.
I am not an Israeli or Jewish but I was infuriated to hear that they had disarmed most of their citizens when they live in shouting distance of a whole lot of people that want to kill them. I have not heard the justification for that.
If Israel had something like our 2nd Amendment of our Constitution, many Israelis would be alive today. And Biden wants to restrict or ban most firearms/magazines to us law abiding citizens?!!
The government says that it's a security risk (concerns of theft by the assholes that want all Jews dead). They don't have gun safes like we do in the US. They are also concerned about negligent discharges causing severe injury or death. It's still dumb, especially considering everyone around them wants to kill em all. Then again, all men do a thing for two reasons: 1. The one that sounds good. 2. And the real one. Call me crazy, I think it's the latter. If they leave their citizens vulnerable, the government can wait for a tragedy and acquire excess power. Just a thought, not necessarily saying that's the absolute truth. Call it a hypothesis.
It is so crazy that most of the people had no weapons. One of my best friends, who is Swiss, told me in Switzerland where most men have to do military service and then go for re-up every year, they just keep their service rifle and some sealed ammo at home. How many lives would that have saved if Israel had done that?
Great ideas Brother SemperFi! A suggestion or two for the community: 1) Install two fishbowl mirrors in the upper corners of your garage 2) Small single solar panel bank to power wired cameras 3) Get two or more blue barrels from country store and store water or even fill one with fuel and stabil 4) Add a power cable to furnace switch capable of connecting small generator
Mike, only 2.6 % of Israeli citizens have guns. They have strict gun control and regulations. If you get a permit, you can have a pistol and 50 rounds. It’s baffling that a country seemingly always under threat of attack doesn’t allow its citizens to be armed. And given that they all have served and handled guns.
They're Israelis... not Israelites. And, not all Jews, are Semites... ask Jesus, a Semite Pharzite Jew, and a world-class political dissident that lit the fuse resulting in the 70 AD territorial civil war between the circumcised Canaanite Shelanite, and the Semite Pharzite/Zarhite descendants of 'Jewdah' (Num 26:20)... when Rome burned 'Jewrusalem' to the ground.
@@adamcuneo7189 Those in charge haven't forgotten the territorial civil war that erupted in 70 AD... between the circumcised Canaanite Shelanite descendants of 'Jewdah', and his illegitimate circumcised Semite Pharzite/Zarhite descendants (Num 26:20). Southern Israel, October 7th, 2023 proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that firearm ownership is a MUST in today's world! The gun control debate is over.

I can imagine the ridicule that Noah and his family endured during the years that he stockpiled materials to build the ark, while building the ark, and stockpiling the supplies for the long term stay in the ark. All over a situation that they didn't believe could happen. Great video and God bless.
Ive mentioned to people at my job about how I'm prepared and I always get "well I know where I'm going when shit goes down" and in my head I'm thinking nope, I have enough people to protect at my house, you should start preparing yourself.
I've heard that too. I tell them straight out "No". They have the warning, information and ability to prep for themselves. One friend was offended when I told her no and asked why not. Well Girlfriend, you have no weapons, ammo, tools or food. I've spoken to you about all of it and you've chosen to spend the money on things like hair, nails, clothing and a new vehicle that you didn't need. There are 7 of you. I have not and will not prep for your family, that is your job. There are 4 working adults in that house, you should be well prepped by now. You all choose not to. Not my problem to fix.
Don't think in your head NOPE. I am pretty private about my preps besides to a handful of friends who aren't prepared already ( Most are) I had 2 different friends who said I know where I'm coming when shit kicks off. My response was "sure, but you will have conditions to not being turned away. I'm going to tell you this and this only. If you show up with nothing and have had prior warning to prepare and you have. I will turn you away. You WILL NOT take food, water or medical from the people I love nor should you want to. " Both asked what would be expected of them to bring with a much more serious tone to their voices because they realized I wasn't playing around with them thinking I'm the local soup kitchen when something kicks off. I told them to start preparing with the basics. They would be expected to have outside of their EDC which should be a firearm, knife, flashlight, medical (TQ and pocket trauma kit) sun glasses, basics supplies like chapstick, lighter, pen, notebook and Leatherman. 1. 5-7 days of food at a minimum 2. 5 gallons of water at a minimum with water filter and catch method 3. Medical supplies- basics OTC meds, any RX meds they need and use for 30 days minimum and a stocked IFAK. Ideally a pocket trauma kit as well. 4. A semiautomatic 9mm, ideally a Glock 19 because that's what other people around us and I use. They should have a minimum of 3 mags and 250 rounds of ammo 5. An AR-15 platform or other 5.56 rifle that accepts standard mags, A minimum of 7 mags and a method to carry them, medical and comms. Ideally mounted WML and Red dot with back up batteries. 1 reload for all Mags of ammo for all mags. Ideally more. 6. A radio. A UV-5R and PTT Mic at a minimum 7. Headlamp, flashlight, backup batteries and rechargeable batteries for all lights, red dots and comms. 8. Sleeping bag, ground pad and other basics to sleep. Anything else they need to sleep on a floor, couch or whatever we have. 9. Hygiene products. TP roll, wipes, soap, toothbrush and paste/powder and other basics at a minimum. 10. Last and most importantly. Bring these tools but also damn sure bring the skillset to safely handle a firearm. Follow SOPs in place for light, noise and comms discipline. Letting someone know if you've been injured or even a minor cut. This allows us to monitor for infection. Last do not go out solo, do not start anything unless a fight is inevitable to protect yourself. I don't hang out with people who start shit for no reason nor should you. Know how of those friends and family members handle stress. Watch for depression, anxiety and irritability. Watch out for those symptoms worsening and give those people tasks that don't add to stress. Let them take a day or 2 off from Watch and give them other tasks. I would recommend not sharing with anyone you don't know well about you being prepared. Use OpSec to make sure you're not being a giant target in a world changing or even regional SHTF. One scumbag knowing you have a "bunch of guns" could make you a target for gang or criminal ambush to take your guns. This has happened in my city. Multiple shooter's in vehicles and dirt bikes hitting drivers and before they could draw they're losing everything including their carry gun. This is going to increase in a Katrina or Sandy level even. Now imagine if help isn't coming from a state away or at all.
This podcast should be heard all around the World. I come from the Czech Republic in central Europe and we as one of the few have very good weapon laws and are allowed to carry and have rifles like AR15 semi-auto of course. There are about 300K weapon holders in the country of 10M population. Still, people are oblivion to these situations and threats, people think we ar crazy and sometimes called war junkies and many more. Its about preparedness as you explained in this podcast. I learned a lot again, my eyes are opened again, I was oblivion for some time again but now I am up, aware and changing mindset. Thank you for your great awareness work Mike!!
First time watcher/listener. I love how you covered defense and survival in the home, on the go, and long term. And I love how you’re trying to destigmatize preparation - is it crazy? No. It’s survival instinct.
Mike the safe rooms as you call them are bomb shelters meant for the rockets they are not built to keep people out, very few of them even have the ability to lock. Israel is big on reenforced doors but since for the most part they stopped putting bars on the windows because its ugly the doors are useless. The most egregious part of this whole thing is the Israeli government disarming its people which is what allowed this to happen to the degree it did. We appreciate all you do for the community, keep up the great work.
I noticed from the videos that the terrorists were shooting through outside walls into homes. It looked as though a lot of people were killed that way from what I saw of the videos taken by the terrorists. I think that knowing the layout of your home, it's vulnerabilities and strengths are important to knowing where in your home you can take cover vs. concealment, and how to arrange furniture along outside walls to add to bullet deflection. Brick homes vs. homes with siding, and areas in the home that will provide more walls, clothes filled closets and dressers, plus furniture and appliances to deflect bullets. Where the center of the house is and if it puts interior walls and objects between you and the exterior. If you live in Tornado Alley you have probably learned where the strongest part of your house is, a central hallway or bathroom where you have closets or doorways and the most roof support as well as more walls between you and the exterior. A similar principal would seem to apply in insulating yourself from someone shooting through the walls.
At about 20 years old I was applying for a job at a restaurant on the Redondo Beach Pier at night. I walked back to My car and immediately got in my car and locked the door. As I looked up from hitting the lock button a guy was standing right at my window. I simply started the car, put it in reverse and drove away. I did not panic but. Knew it could have been dangerous.

Mike, we have been reaching our kid’s situational awareness for past 15 years; at school, around neighborhood, in public places, it doesn’t matter, awareness should be 2nd nature
Ya the real preppers have gauze and latin incase of them stigmatas (I have neither unless you count old paper towels and the taxonomic name for alfalfa hay: "Medicago Sativa")
I stopped at a gas station went in to use the restroom and get coffee. Came out, unlocked my door got in and looked down to set the coffee in the console and all of a sudden my door opens and the passenger door opens. It was a couple who thought MY car was THEIR car and they were coming in like I wasn't even in the car. I'm locking the car door as soon as I get in now.
Don't forget the draft (selective service) age 16-60 males can be fair game, I think 45 was the oldest in WW2 but the age limit depends on necessity so age becomes more irrelevant the worse it gets
The stigma is weakening. There's an article in the WSJ saying more people are interested, though some of them stop with a packaged go bag. After the events of recent years, people understand the value of having stock, at least.
A lot of people I know think that this thinking is “crazy talk.” Counselors and psychologists will tell you that living a prepped life is paranoia. I’m with Mike, I can be comfortable making something my routine. Hyper vigilance will save your life.
The same people that say that, are the same people who can't change a tire. And if they couldn't get a tow truck, cop, or friend to help them. They would start crying.
QUESTION: you briefly mention living in an apartment complex-can you give more tips for being prepared in a typical apartment in a complex? I only have 2 closets and various gear etc in my home and vehicle already but how about some pointers on complex parking lots, issues with very close neighbors during an event? How to prepare large glass windows, weak door to your apartments etc
Are you on the first floor? Try looking at shelving, whether it be floor shelving or shelving secured on the walls, under the bed containers, I've made homemade shelves in closets as well. As far as the windows, I would get some of the plastic that helps prevent the windows from shattering and put that on. Also get some 3/4 inch plywood and cut it to size to cover the entire window. Store it behind your bed under bed or behind couch if you don't have anywhere else. Keep at it, improvise where and when you can
IF you aren't on the ground floor, windows shouldn't be much of a concern. IF you are, then the whole thing is a bad situation. They make shatterproof films that will help with the windows and having a way to board them up would be another good idea. IF you're above the ground floor, 99% of your focus should be on the door. You can buy door armor kits that will greatly strengthen the door. They'll cover your hinges and the door jam with metal. Replace your existing screws in your hinges with 3-1/2" wood screws. Do that where the handle and deadbolt lock in the wall also. Lastly there are several door barricade kits that can go across the door and options that can go under the door handle that will wedge between it and the floor. You can also install a camera in the light socket by the front door that will show you who's at the door without you having to be in front of it or look through a peephole. It may be overkill, but I've implemented all of these, and have gone as far as using 3 barricades on the door (top, middle, and shin level) Better safe than sorry.
I have a townhouse. I have 30 days of food and water, Easy, ammo etc and I have “storm” plywood to cover my windows and my front door is reenforced. It’s gonna take a lot of effort to get to me and my gummy bears.
BRC said they didn't want anyone who supported Kyle Rittenhouse as a customer. Basically just said we're deplorables ala Hillary Clinton. Never buy anything from them again.
I read the book and it is great content. Yes, there is a stigma with planning for as many scenarios as we can. Long ago, I saw enough to convince me that waiting for the government to help is a recipe for failure. There is no harm in having the resources in place to prepare for contingencies. There is home prepping and there are mobile preps.
Same. I have a couple tubs of food storage, a box of MREs, and ammo. I sort of draw the line there. Stored water may be something to think about. Maybe several cases of bottled water in my back office under a towel or something.
My first time watching one of your videos. You are right. But you have to have money for this stuff. So what would I do? I'm 62 years old. I'm in good shape never had any major health issues. But
Mike; don't forget to have them mark fire lines with distance markers "thus could be a pumpkin, a pole, or even a rusted out lawn mower--- that you know the distance too and can reference very quickly". These markers you need to place yourself and know -- range card it and put it where you place yourself everyday. These markers give you a known distance to help you eliminate guessing on how far away they are, and your family should be able to call out if needed. Just a tid-bit to help everyone. Mike, my Brother you are doing an awesome job with your passion, and everyone sees what I've seen in you for a long time. I'm here in Kentucky; if every you need another Team member with you! Salute Eaglehrt
I've never encountered anyone I know who thinks prepping is "crazy" The circles i travel in have a much higher IQ than the average American Couch Potato.
Me and my wife have been prepping for 5 years now. I’ve always taken it serious, especially the last three years. 4 years in the Army as an 11 Bravo grunt also
Former 0311 here, married to active duty 5803 (MP). I'm with ya brother. We (mostly I) have been covertly preparing since our return from Japan in 2015. Chance favors the prepared mind. 😉👍
You can't prepare for the worst case scenario unless you live totally off grid with solar power, a well, a garden large enough to grow and preserve your own food and have horses with the means to feed and water them. Then you'll need to have a way to defend all that. Claymores and belt fed machine guns on motion detectors may work for awhile. But the real worst case scenario is when the lights go out. How much food, water, gasoline for your generators can you store and how will you defend it? Forget about driving a car because the last place you want to be is on the open road because the government will still have gasoline and jet A for the helicopter gunships coming after you. We're already in anarchy at the federal level and it won't take much to get us to the next level with the imbeciles running our government. Any day now the lights could go out and that's the worst case scenario for everyone. Everything shuts down ATM's, gas stations, grocery stores and cash money will be worthless. Your idea of preparedness will only delay the inevitable for a few weeks or months at most. Being a disabled Vietnam veteran and 77 years old I don't think I would want to survive that and I no longer worry about my kids because they think Biden is the best POTUS we've ever had and I can't change their minds so they'll have to face the result of their college indoctrination by Marxist professors.
Im sorry. Thats so frustrating. Im in BC canada. Its bad here. Id rather b in the US than here. Trudeau and biden have completely destroyed north america
There is hope if you believe in Jesus Christ, all of the chaos in the M.E. especially is telling us that the events of the Bible in Revelation are about to begin. Christ takes all the believers out of the world in a blink of an eye. They don't have to endure God's wrath and judgements.
Most people panic and freeze in an emergency. If your life hasn't been at serious risk requiring you to save yourself, or someone else, you will probably do the same. That's probably most people's biggest challenge at the outset.
I agree. Call it being self-sufficient. Same thing without the "crazy" word. I tried to explain that what a lot of people call prepping a few generations ago would have called life. They tended to be self-sufficient. Often even in defense.
@@SgtSkrog My grandparents owned a small farm to grow or raise almost everything they needed. Power could go out for a week or more in the winter if there was a bad winter storm. There was one sheriff and one deputy to patrol a 2,200 square mile county. They definitely had to be ready to handle anything and everything themselves.
Mr. Glover I have lived in Utah my entire life. You are the one I have narrowed down that I trust you the most with my current events info and preparation. Glad you are here in Heber. Keep it coming 🤘🏻
It's sad, just a couple of generations ago, preparing for disaster and stockpiling food was common. Now there is a stigma, and I think we need to look a little deeper at why it exists. Who benefits the most from an unprepared and dependent populace?
In Australia the fanny pack has such a bad reputation because of local punk gangs they wear them all the time always hiding knifes or crack pipes it's so common over here, but I can actually see how useful a fanny pack as your EDC holster the enemy wouldn't know the wiser it doesn't look like a gun holster at all just a cash holder ahahahaha, you make a great point on that, such a shame we are so strict on guns over one-mentally ill massacre. we get ostracized for even mentioning prepping over here and even talking about guns like we some hard-core right-wing radical's and yet I am really a Democratic Republican that gives a dam for human beings not having their civil liberties all over the world abused by the common criminal and the government, but for some reason a moderate is right wing god those people are so thick in the head.
Having your doors locked and your seatbelt on before you pull out is limiting your mobility, you should do this after you start driving you may need to exit or move inside the car quickly. Pulling up and pulling out are critical points. When you are pulling up to a hot zone your going to instinctually take off your seatbelt, the situation is the same when you are pulling out but you will likely put your seatbelt on before you pull out.
Also don't forget for car situational, most have reverse cameras. Put it in reverse instead of park and you have another way to see behind and ready to roll out. Finally checked out substack. I am not a social media guy so didnt realize how nice it is. Subbed and I like your new book. Keep up the great work.
I'm surprised you're not an advocate of reversing into parking spots/garages etc. That's one of the readiness things I do in my life to allow a quick exit, if needed.
Brother, you're damn straight about locking car doors as soon as getting in! My wife finally deactivated the auto 'unlock' feature on our SUV. Leaving it on auto unlock mode leaves you completely exposed to having someone jump into the car.

I have spent half my life watching wars. I have lived through the Vietnam War. The 6 days war. The first gulf War. The war on terror. Now the Israeli war. Add it all up more than 30 years half my life. I have seen more videos of soldiers fighting in dying during the news. I have had family fight in WWII the Korean War the Vietnam War. I have seen the remnants of comes after. The long lasting effects of it on the warriors who fight. WWIII has started I hope we can turn back step off the path. God help us.
I have had to pull my weapon once, long ago. I am certain that I would have been murdered if I did not. Stay vigilant. Stay alert. Your life may depend on it. Mine did.
The problem with preparedness channels is they're all over tye place and everything ends up with do whatever based on your whatever. And it's with tactics, gear, planning, and anything else. Very little is actionable. I listened to your book and enjoyed it. I've read, listened, trained, and planned for years so none of it, except tue presentation, was new. The fear of dictating do this, buy this, and so on is nothing is 100% and litigation., I get it. But until we all get past that, almost nothing can be implemented well. Not to mention the sheer number of topics channels jump to week after week to keep new content is dizzying. You're smart and you have resources so I hope one day you be able to create a program around specific gear and training someday.
That's the best part. I have all sorts for many scenarios since covid happened. Always have many months of food stockpiled, camping gas stoves with lots of reserve gas, lots of firewood and coal etc etc. Only thing I'm missing is solar power. I have air guns crossbows knives etc but that's just a hobby which I hope is never needed in a SHTF scenario.
Talking about locking doors immediately. I just had someone run at my front door 5 mins after I walked into the house. They pressed the doorbell to hide the sound of opening the door and getting a surprise on me and my family. Been reading Mikes book on preparedness may have just saved us by providing me some of the basic tools for self awareness. Thanks Mike!

I used to think I needed all this gear. Over time I have come to the realization that it's just too much. After watching wranglestar he said something very important, and it hit me. I have a small kit, and that's it. The rest, I will just have to improvise. And I'm ok with that
Two things surprised me about the attack on Israel. Their intelligence failure in not seeing this coming and that Israeli citizens where no longer armed as they had been in the past. Apparently some of the kibbutz where able to repel or defeat the attacks. However they had time to arm themselves from some sort of onsite armories. Unfortunately many did not have the time or a plan for arming…just hunker down and hope for the best. Since that didn’t work, maybe they will go back to being individually armed.
Great information!! I especially like the situational awareness part towards the end especially as you near and prepare to enter your house. I’m going to make my wife and kids watches over and over over the next few months until they start doing it. I have always done it due to some past history in my early life, and if anything while you’re driving, you avoid most accidents as a bonus.
Mike, l see and understand where you are coming from. But there's a lot of people that don't have the money to do a lot of these things. It's all people can do to make it from one paycheck to another. It's hard for people to feed their children day in and day out.
Stellar podcast Mr. Glover! I wish some one with your level of training would put out a system for firearm training that a person could do at home. I would come to a training course but I am the soul care taker of two elderly parents that I can't leave alone. Just a wish, not whining because I am glad to be here for them.

You're growing fast. I'm 22 years old, not a good father figure, 0 experience with combat training and weapons. I am a fit guy and would consider myself very patriotic. Spending time to learn all of this at my age is very necessary. I am from Longmont area in Colorado, have my own place and spend much time alone doing research. If anyone out there knows a good gun store and or range near me, it would be amazing. Anywhere that welcomes newbies. I have much pride in my country and I want to prepare best I can for my family and friends! Thank you for the content Mike.
Go see Rod at Grandpa’s Pawn and Gun. A lot of people go shooting at Pawnee Grasslands, but you can ask Rod anything as far as guns, ammo, shooting ranges….
Thank you for these insights. We are in SW Arizona (only 3 houses on our street) away from other houses or complexes (yes, it is 101 degrees right now at 4:41 pm). We got that special plastic to squeegee with water on our windows to prevent initial shattering from outside attacks. We also have several motion sensor alarms & lights around the house & property. Security doors - front & back. Two dogs who also alert us when someone is coming (well one does, the other one is too friendly). We do have pepper spray & pepper gel spray, that tool that breaks glass (in case of a car accident - I keep that in the outside pocket of my purse), a stun gun next to that glass breaking tool & I have a personal alarm with just a pull on my keychain. I also know the targets on the body to hit with my hands or fingers if need be. A geiger counter & plastic sheeting & to tape inside at the windows, doors & vents - just in case.
We had two dogs also At a high-end alert back in 1968 may Dad separated the two dogs on over night watch. On each side of our house side yards...They were both different animals, both alerted and guarded their turf....it was inspiring to see their care for guarding our home....try it...
@@michaelmailheau1511 We have a female Lexi who was originally found sitting at the end of our driveway Nov. 2022. We do have both front & backyards fenced in but Lexi a couple days ago slid out under a gate. Gone for several hours in this over 100 degree heat in SW Arizona. When a friend came over - there was Lexi jumping on him to get pets. Now the other dog we got from a rescue - Major was barking & growling at him. So if we need them to alert & defend I hope Lexi will realize danger & be aggressive. No, we cannot afford to take her to classes. Thank you for your input - perhaps she WILL come through.

Mike, I have developed a similar procedure with vehicles, but I'd like to suggest this for you - Lock your doors ASAP. If you're loading stuff, especially children, lock each of their doors as you get them in, if possible. As soon as everyone is in, lock (or finish locking) the doors, put the key in the ignition, and then mess around with getting other "stuff" situated (seat belts, mirrors, snacks, water, etc). You probably already do something like this, but I just want to put it out there for others, as part of a holistic self-defense, personal safety practice.
I’m reading your book right now and it’s fantastic, it really made me rethink some things to make my family more resilient and safe. Thanks so much for all your hard work, I appreciate it!
Israel is a communist/socialist nation, remember when the USSR fell, the Russian Jë^s emigrated to the new Homeland. Their Government is highly comprised of Soviet.... Brookings institute: "The over one million people who immigrated to Israel from the former Soviet Union in a wave from the beginning of the 1990s have changed Israel to its core - socially, politically, economically, and culturally. Within the first six years, they formed what became a large secular nationalist political camp that secures right-wing rule to this day. Experts both in Israel and Russia define the socio-political profile of the first generation of these immigrants as a prototype of “Homo Sovieticus”; its leading political representative, former foreign minister and defense minister Avigdor Lieberman, who heads what is still perceived as the only “Russian” sectarian party, is often seen as a “post-Soviet” leader, void of ideology, promoting an agenda of fear and incitement. Lieberman’s newly adopted anti-Orthodox agenda appeals to the younger Russian-speaking generation and empowers - at present - parliamentary and extra-parliamentary opposition to his former ally, longstanding Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu."
Thank you so much for reminding me to always be prepared. 30+ years of law-enforcement and top of it. Narcotics a lot of the techniques that you teach the stuff that we taught the new defectors. Not a big fanny pack man but I see him more now and it makes sense especially in the way of the times, looking forward to attending some of your classes. Great job.
To me preparedness for ww3 is changing a 99% chance of an early death to 98%. Still worth it. If you have a good group you could go as low as 95%. We're all going to die, how we live is just as, if not more, important than how long we live.
There are definitely sleeper cells and unfortunately their numbers grow each passing day as they keep crossing our border. But we must remember that there are also militias all over the country who are the new Minutemen of the 21st Century. Plus there are many, many men who are ages 45-70 who may not be militia members but they’ll turn completely bad ass and fight for this country in a heartbeat. The most important thing we all need to do now is to pray and ask for Mary’s Mantle to protect us
Guns, tourniquets, and antibiotics? This is prepping for a war zone LOL. Here in the mountains of Colorado the number one prep - FIRE. Put a bic lighter in your pocket, that's the number one most essential. If you bug out to the woods or get lost in the woods most people don't survive more than a couple days from exposure. Number two - a map, compass, gps or satellite locator. I have a GPS on my watch but my watch battery doesn't last long. I don't carry a map and compass in my pocket. I could check my GPS watch to get my bearings and turn off the watch to save battery power. I carry a small solar panel in my bug out bag so I can charge my GPS watch and InReach Mini 2 but it's not every day carry.
You need to be prepared first Biblically in the event of departure 😊 Then figure out the details of getting through this stuff.... Blessings and Shalom Ya'll 😊
Serious question to anyone who is prepared already or in the process. I see a lot of attention some put on Night vision or thermal vision capability. I’m a normal guy with a normal income so is this something I shouldn’t even worry about or should it be priority goal long term to be properly prepared? Great video and thanks for all the tips!
Tek, since noone replied to you. I too am on limited income having had to retire at 48. I have a ITT PVS14 Gen 3plus with helmet n quick weapon release. On my rifle LWRC I have a Trijicon REAP-IR thermal scope rigged the same way. Amber filter on 14, n use a Wilcox G24 helmet mount with capability to use either eye n flip up n break away mount all tethered. Buy once, cry once. It's a family asset that I have NEVER REGRETTED. I live in the woods n occasionally train in various weather conditions plus former IDf RedBoot. With the way our world is intentionally escalating towards World War. It is a asset I definitely have no regrets as I am pushing 70 n have 15 gkids near n far. All still under 13, but training they basic skill sets n know how to use multiple mags n loaders. Along with basic medical procedures in a emergency. Tek, do what you can financially. Although know that they plan on crashing our financial sources without notice. Having $$$ in investments is good, but what will they help out with your own n families survival means? Only you can make that determination. Keep in mind, extra gear adds weight. Yet I don't plan on bugging out otherthan where we are. Atleast get a NVGs mono, yet know that using it in conjunction or a clip-on on your weapon. It will lose some vital abilities by doing so, n not all scope are NV friendly. I never thought we'd be witnessing events n biblical prophecies coming to past. 😢 Get right with Jesus Christ people,,,
Mike you are a great guy, but I wish you could unhitch yourself from Evan Hafer and BRCC. I bet the My Pillow company would help sponsor your companies or some other truly conservative company.
Wait so every Israeli are military agents?! And they have dual citizenship in multiple countries?! Uhm isn’t that an extreme a national security risk???
Make it hard for bad guys to hide. Having a well lit garage is so easy. Also consider motion controlled lights around your property, to both save on electricity and retain the element of surprise to a certain degree. Thanks Mike, looking forward to the second part!
Staging...I did these in the Philippines at our farm every day and night. Fighting positions/fields of fire and vehicle exit parking pre determined hospitals, military/police fobs. Back in 1980s till I migrated 2001 to U.S Still doing it. Thank you Mike.
Listen here brother thank you for y’all help and all the information that you put out for us the people I love y’all and god bless everyone out there hope everyone is preparing
Hey Mike , question here: Assuming a total beginner, what would be the 3-4 highest priority items on the journey of preparedness? Context: I am a 26 year old male living alone in downtown Seattle. I take fitness and situational awareness seriously. I do not have my concealed carry. I have read your book and found all the fire escapes and passages out of my apartment building. Love your stuff, and am even considering of coming out to Provo in 2024 to check out your new training facility. Thanks
I would call what you do is fear mongering. I would call it information sharing or giving advice so to speak. The world we know is not what it was 30 or 40 years ago much less 2 years ago. Alot of people I know that used to make fun of me for hunting, fishing or hiking as well as having extra food and water on hand. Now those very people are preparing
Be careful.
Many people are prepared for the bad times, but not prepared for the good times. Sorry to hear that.
Sounds like he had mental issues. That has nothing to do with being prepared. Y’all should’ve been better family.
Heavy
I have a one word solution to this sad story: “balance”.
I think the "stigma" is less than it was before Covid. When the lock downs and supply chain issues happened, suddenly the preppers didn't seem so crazy. I do think it's important to keep your preps to yourself, ie: gray man for your own securiy.
I agree
Started preparing in 2018. Moved out of an apartment to a 4 room house. Put in a huge garden, gotten chickens, stockpiled beef, pork, and chicken. Stockpiled ammo and a fee more weapons. Our small town has a plan to surround and defend it if things turned ugly.
To be honest, it's all fun.
And will just lose your money most likley
Money doesn’t matter if we end up hitting the fab.
Wanna join the town :,) got bunch of guns and know how to hunt and fish!
More people need to create small communities like these and then befriend other like minded communities!!!!
I think it's cool when other people prep. So exciting to see like minded people and not to feel so alone
Having no weapons was the pinnacle of fuck ups that day. That’s number one…
Amen! This is exactly why you don't disarm your citizens....
Absolutely.and now the government is passing weapons out to them.
@@theresabreaudExactly! 100% intentional. Anyone who can't see that actually thinks Epstien killed himself. Our 9/11 was no different.

*Livestock - amazingly better quality meat (chicken, pork and beef)
*Gardening + canning - amazingly better quality vegetables
*solar power - obvious benefits
*saw mill - building my own cabin(s)

Great job and yes- there is always more to do ….😊
@@pardone8932 thank you! And yes, the ‘to do’ list never gets shorter.
How every home in Israel is not REQUIRED to have weapons blows my mind …especially when most of them Have served in the idf
Bullshit
But fyi you really sound like one of those sheep falling for the msm lies lmao like everyone else is lol wake up
You’re either incompetent or you’re a shill.
LOL
I feel ya brother1 Same here OCD to the extreme.
I feel so sorry for Israel Very few can get guns or ammo. Can only have 50 rounds on hand. Can you believe that?
Huh...@@bighairyfeet
Sounds to me like your doing everything right Officer!!! In this day and age you never know who's lurking around to cause some trouble. Stay safe❤
No matter how prepared you are, there will always be something you are not prepared for.

Less mouths for you to feed when the time comes.
@pdsmith11803 yeah, that was my take on it too. At least I made an effort to show them the door. It's their responsibility to walk through it.
With the amount of news & social media I was surprised that so many had no idea of what happened in Israel. Put your games down & start listening.
You don't need to be a millionaire to survive when shtf. You need the skill. And that's priceless.
Corrupt governments disarm their people
Corrupt government just like us.
The government says that it's a security risk (concerns of theft by the assholes that want all Jews dead). They don't have gun safes like we do in the US.
They are also concerned about negligent discharges causing severe injury or death.
It's still dumb, especially considering everyone around them wants to kill em all.
Then again, all men do a thing for two reasons:
1. The one that sounds good.
2. And the real one.
Call me crazy, I think it's the latter. If they leave their citizens vulnerable, the government can wait for a tragedy and acquire excess power. Just a thought, not necessarily saying that's the absolute truth. Call it a hypothesis.
Hmmm 4 replied and poof gone! ?
It is so crazy that most of the people had no weapons. One of my best friends, who is Swiss, told me in Switzerland where most men have to do military service and then go for re-up every year, they just keep their service rifle and some sealed ammo at home. How many lives would that have saved if Israel had done that?
I never leave my house, just to be safe.
it used to be when they aged out they could keep there rifle
I typically sit on my thumb and look out the window everyday. The only one coming will be me
That's not true at all. Absolutely no civilians in Switzerland are allowed to own firearms.
@@BravoJulietAlphaabsolutely incorrect. It takes two seconds on google to debunk your statement.
Great ideas Brother SemperFi!
A suggestion or two for the community:
1) Install two fishbowl mirrors in the upper corners of your garage
2) Small single solar panel bank to power wired cameras
3) Get two or more blue barrels from country store and store water or even fill one with fuel and stabil
4) Add a power cable to furnace switch capable of connecting small generator
Mike, only 2.6 % of Israeli citizens have guns. They have strict gun control and regulations. If you get a permit, you can have a pistol and 50 rounds. It’s baffling that a country seemingly always under threat of attack doesn’t allow its citizens to be armed. And given that they all have served and handled guns.
I know, I fully support Israel, but for them to have gun laws like that is fucking stupid.
Israel has too much liberal shit in their mentality.
They have the same problem we have here: anti gun nuts. Here we tell them to go F themselves. Over there they can’t.
Southern Israel, October 7th, 2023 proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that firearm ownership is a MUST in today's world! The gun control debate is over.

Amen. And if he hadn't, we would not be here.
Ive mentioned to people at my job about how I'm prepared and I always get "well I know where I'm going when shit goes down" and in my head I'm thinking nope, I have enough people to protect at my house, you should start preparing yourself.
You need to not be telling people what you have and don't think it in you're head say it to them out loud.
I would verbalize that to whoever says it.
You should answer with "what are you bringing to the house of the gun nut?"
I am pretty private about my preps besides to a handful of friends who aren't prepared already ( Most are)
I had 2 different friends who said I know where I'm coming when shit kicks off. My response was "sure, but you will have conditions to not being turned away. I'm going to tell you this and this only. If you show up with nothing and have had prior warning to prepare and you have. I will turn you away. You WILL NOT take food, water or medical from the people I love nor should you want to. "
Both asked what would be expected of them to bring with a much more serious tone to their voices because they realized I wasn't playing around with them thinking I'm the local soup kitchen when something kicks off. I told them to start preparing with the basics. They would be expected to have outside of their EDC which should be a firearm, knife, flashlight, medical (TQ and pocket trauma kit) sun glasses, basics supplies like chapstick, lighter, pen, notebook and Leatherman.
1. 5-7 days of food at a minimum
2. 5 gallons of water at a minimum with water filter and catch method
3. Medical supplies- basics OTC meds, any RX meds they need and use for 30 days minimum and a stocked IFAK. Ideally a pocket trauma kit as well.
4. A semiautomatic 9mm, ideally a Glock 19 because that's what other people around us and I use. They should have a minimum of 3 mags and 250 rounds of ammo
5. An AR-15 platform or other 5.56 rifle that accepts standard mags, A minimum of 7 mags and a method to carry them, medical and comms. Ideally mounted WML and Red dot with back up batteries. 1 reload for all Mags of ammo for all mags. Ideally more.
6. A radio. A UV-5R and PTT Mic at a minimum

6 hours for the army to get there, but 3 hours to traverse the entire country north to south. Hmmm.. 🤔🤔🤫🤫
Doesn’t add up, does it ?
Which country is that?
I walked back to

The stigma is weakening. There's an article in the WSJ saying more people are interested, though some of them stop with a packaged go bag. After the events of recent years, people understand the value of having stock, at least.

Psychologists and councilors have no business telling anyone that. If an individual shows suspected behavior, another story and solution.

And also not talking about what you have, with anyone. Period.
Nothing wrong with being prepared!

Man. I wish I had the same training as y’all. Any course recommendations for a simple civilian like me.
@ClearedCrayon That depends on where you live, and your budget.

There's a stigma associated with preparing, yet the Scouting Motto is "Be Prepared".
I agree. Call it being self-sufficient. Same thing without the "crazy" word. I tried to explain that what a lot of people call prepping a few generations ago would have called life. They tended to be self-sufficient. Often even in defense.

Israel is a communist/socialist nation, remember when the USSR fell, the Russian Jë^s emigrated to the new Homeland. Their Government is highly comprised of Soviet....
Brookings institute:
"The over one million people who immigrated to Israel from the former Soviet Union in a wave from the beginning of the 1990s have changed Israel to its core - socially, politically, economically, and culturally.

God bless you mike i'm glad you're in the home team
YES!!! Lol I’ve always got a small bag with me that’ll help me survive 1-5 days or so in the “wild”.
Fentanyl or cocaine?

Wait so every Israeli are military agents?! And they have dual citizenship in multiple countries?! Uhm isn’t that an extreme a national security risk???
Make it hard for bad guys to hide. Having a well lit garage is so easy. Also consider motion controlled lights around your property, to both save on electricity and retain the element of surprise to a certain degree. Thanks Mike, looking forward to the second part!
Damn. Amazon delivery guy could be the threat because how many Americans rely on those smily faced packages to be delivered to their doorstep.
Staging...I did these in the Philippines at our farm every day and night.
Fighting positions/fields of fire and vehicle exit parking pre determined hospitals, military/police fobs.
Back in 1980s till I migrated 2001 to U.S
Still doing it.
Thank you Mike.
Salamat

Hey Mike , question here: Assuming a total beginner, what would be the 3-4 highest priority items on the journey of preparedness?
Context: I am a 26 year old male living alone in downtown Seattle. I take fitness and situational awareness seriously. I do not have my concealed carry. I have read your book and found all the fire escapes and passages out of my apartment building. Love your stuff, and am even considering of coming out to Provo in 2024 to check out your new training facility. Thanks
Weaponry with training, first aid, water, food, plan
I would call what you do is fear mongering. I would call it information sharing or giving advice so to speak. The world we know is not what it was 30 or 40 years ago much less 2 years ago. Alot of people I know that used to make fun of me for hunting, fishing or hiking as well as having extra food and water on hand. Now those very people are preparing
