Totally OFF TOPIC,,,, I'm hoping you can help with a problem. I have a 2017 Jayco Greyhawk, and the screen in my door is torn. I don't see a bead to remove to replace the screen. It looks like its Glued in place. Is there something I'm missing. Thanks in advance, Ron INDY
I have a question on using a zerk fitting when applying new grease, why can’t a person keep spinning the wheel while new grease is being pumped in until the old grease comes out?
I use a soft bristle push broom and use Awsume cleaner. Wet the roof down, spray Awsume on and go back and forwards with push broom once or twice and rinse off. I used the Awesome on top and bottom of my awning shade. Awesome can be bought at the Dollar Store, cheap.
New question for you Todd! Some folks are now resealing their roof appliances with Dicor self-leveling sealant and then going over the seals with eternabond tape. Seems like a solid long term solution to roof sealant issues. What do you think?
You got me curious now. I do hear my water pump turn on randomly from time to time when not used. I assumed maybe it was because water was evaporating somewhere in the lines
Yeah..... I've got a question.... I've got a bumper pull camper and when setting up my ball the hitch came with some washers for adjustment? Is my ball supposed to be locked down and stationary or is it supposed to have some play in it?
love your tech tip Tuesday videos.... I'm about to install solar panels on our 2021 forest river xl 3212, my question is when attaching the panels to the roof, am I looking for roof trusses? Or is just screwing into what I imagine is plywood up there sufficient? I've also seen plastic mounts that use a vhb tape to stick down to the roof but I worry about if that could rip up the roof material that's up there during traveling. Thanks for any ideas and input.
My furnace is not functioning normal. I hear it click to activate the solenoid, blower fan turns on for a few seconds and shuts off. Could this be a sail switch issue?
Plumbing connection question. Many RVs have PEX connections with RV flexible hose. I do not understand how this can pass any plumbing code. I thought that PEX connectors were designed for PEX only. This is a leak just waiting to happen. It’s a ticking time bomb. I would think that connections with flexible hoses require a proper barbed connector. What do you guys think? As you can guess, I have had some leaks.
I believe there is no code of quality for RV's, there's no government insight like the the auto industry. RV factory could just use a plastic squirt gun for faucets.
Great Tips, I just repacked my Bearing, Swapped out Stock lug nuts, Greased leaf spring shackles, all straight forward and easy job. Keep the videos coming.
Regarding quieting the water pump. I found a piece of rubber mud flap on the side of the road. Cut a hunk of that and bolt the pump to that, then use different holes to screw the mat to the inside of the cabinet where it was mounted. This maintains a pretty rigid mounting, but insulates the 'box' it is attached to from becoming a sound box / drum body.
What is the proper way to jack your fifth wheel for bearing maintenance? Where do you place the jack? Should it be connected to the tow vehicle? Can you use the leveling system. Love the tech tips, someday I will make it to the Big Red School House! Also trying to be patient for episode 3 of RV Unplugged.
Thank you for telling folks about the misconception of the "E-Z Lube" zercs. Dexter REALLY needs to rewrite their documentation. If you read it you will go back and forth and probably think that it's ok to just pump more grease in. I called Dexter and spent a ton of time trying to get the right answer. First 2 people told me to pump it in the zerc fitting! I explained their unclear documentation and they elevated me to more senior techs. It took a few hours, but they finally did confirm exactly what you said Todd! So, that's what I did and will do EVERY year. I read SO many posts of people asking what's the right way and them also getting the wrong answer from Internet "Pros" who've "dun it dis way fur 45 yeeeers". Dexter!!! FIX YOUR DOCUMENTATION! YOU'RE CAUSING THIS MESS! Thanks again NRVTA!
I always thought keeping the roof clean was important. I keep mine in a building over winter so it’s not exposed 12 months a year. Guess I’ll just keep an eye on it and be careful not to brush clean it.
Thanks. U r so much fun to watch. U the coolest. 💥👏
Great stuff, thank you. Any thoughts on soft starts for Ac?
Oops found your stuff on Soft Start . Thanks you

Love how you plugged the show.😅

Thats what I have done yearly for 12 years, inspected bearing every 4 years and all is great 👍
You should start a school in Pennsylvania.. I'd love to go to it.
Same here
Same here.
No, I want them to start a school in Phoenix 1st : )
Love the roof advice. Thanks!
Thanks for the long 2 minutes. Love the roof advice!

I don’t want to waste your time so I’m asking permission to ask a question, lol. It pertains to my RV tv reception. Can you help?

That ball should be tighten down with a impact tool with a certain amount of torque.

Cool. Needed that water pump hint
How do you feel about using ONR on the roof?
Only rubber (EPDM) chalks. You can use pressure washer for TPO or vinyl. Brake clean on RUBBER ONLY
Never would have thought brake cleaner. Can use in pto ????

Don't use simple green.
Especially on fiberglass roofs (like tiffin)
Manual states specifically to no use it.

Clean is very important. But scrubbing is just as bad as not cleaning.
@@NationalRVTrainingAcademy soft brush like you might use on the sides?
I’ve watched the first 2 episodes of RV Unplugged and so far… very disappointed!!! I expected actual RV content. I’ll give it one more try.
