I’m Only Sleeping - Angel’s Egg

Okay prepare for a rant:
This past week has been insane for multiple reasons, some personal, but most importantly and sadly, Kevin Conroy has died. THE Batman himself. It is utterly devastating, and I was crying so much when I found out. I first became aware of his Batman when I was in preschool, as one of my favorite movies was Batman & Mr. Freeze: Sub Zero. Over time, I gradually found BTAS, Mask of the Phantasm, JLU, Batman Beyond, and, once I was old enough, the Arkham games and The Killing Joke movie (the comic being so much better of course, but still, how can you deny the Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill combo?)
Kevin Conroy's voice, Batman, the whole universe, has been such a huge comfort to me. If someone were to ask me what one of the most important aspects of my life is, one of my answers would be Batman. And Kevin Conroy is my favorite by far, even if there are many others I love as well.
To lose such a legend of the voice acting industry and the DCAU is so heartbreaking, and even now it feels unreal to me.
This will seem like a non-sequitur, but this past Saturday, I watched Angel's Egg, this movie, for the first time. I needed something to distract myself from Kevin Conroy's passing, and this movie was absolutely wonderful. I only wish I could have stumbled across it at a happier time, but the overall mood and tone established reflected MY mood back to me while watching, and I found comfort in this film because of that. I recommend it highly.
I have a feeling the copyright deities will strike this video down because of The Beatles, if not Angel's Egg, or honestly both, but maybe it'll stay up. Who knows?
