Chrissy, Have a vet., check Winston. The vet may surprise you with their findings. If you home Winston, and you later have a litter of piglets and they're the same in size, color, and patterns then you've rehomed Winston for no reason. I know this would sit heavy on your heart.
I fully agree with this decision. Another channel runs a rescue including 7 pigs and they neuter any male mammal animal. (Birds and reptiles lay eggs so no hatching) They take it to the vet (their vet knows them and if they say sedation needed the vet trusts them). Most recently they neutered a 4 year old fox that was rescued from a “fur farm”. Call your vet I know that you have one and seems like you should be able to get him to go to a vet and save the house call money. It’s like any guy recommended to keep away from females for around 6 weeks before all swimmers die.
The appearance of the Kune is almost like a character in a cartoon. They are covered with hair not bristles like other pig breeds. This hair can be straight or curly and either long or short. The color can include black, ginger, brown, cream, black and white, or any combination of the previously mentioned colors. These colors can also have wild patterns on the pig.
Hun, we had hundreds of large whites. They lived on 200 acres completely fee to be pigs. All pigs 🐖 are very sweet of loved and looked after. We live in New Zealand. When we were younger we had ducks and chickens everywhere. Miss the country lifestyle. Now we're older and have serious health conditions. Make the most of what you have. Don't rehome your baby. Put him in and area away from the girls. We pray 🙏 you can keep him. 🙏 XOXO ❤❤❤❤
Aww loved the baby piggies! Watching them run was so cute. Hope whatever decision yall make about Winston is the best one. I know you love him. Love the beautiful sunflowers ❤️
Talk to a vet. See if they can fix him. Then you don't have to ger rid of him. He's so cute n I know u love him. Hugs I know it's got to be difficult whatever u decide .🥰
Oh boy, you sure have a lot on your plate lately. I wish you the best with whatever happens with your baby Winston. I can't imagine how hard this is for you. I know you will do the right thing for the farm and your family. Peace and blessings ❤❤
Hi Chrissy! What a horrible dilemma to have. A couple things are mentioned here in other comments. I would definitely have him looked at by the vet. If he was not neutered then I would have a long conversation with the people you bought him from who assured you he was. They should be responisble for their actions. Second, if it comes back that he was neutered and you still believe those babies are his maybe take one that has stripes to be tested. You do not need to test all of them, at least I wouldn't. You are so sweet with you animals and Winston clearly loves you just as much! I am praying this will work out so that you can keep him.
Isn't there a way that a vet can truly tell if Winston is intacted? My heart is breaking for you. ☹ You mentioned having him fixed now, it's worth asking the vet those type of questions.
First, I'd have the vet check Winston to see if "things" are still intact. Then if they are, take care of it. If not, keep him in a separate pen. Rehoming Winston really isn't a great solution, he's grown accustom to the others as well. It would be pricey, but testing the piglets would answer questions as well. Not all piglets look like the parents either. Love ya'll ❤️
Oh NO! Not Winston. You can get him neutered. I don't think there is a age limit, but the cost is higher. Hope you will be able to keep him. My heart goes out to you and Winston. Love you guys.
I'm sure you can find Winston a good home close by. It's not always easy to have a farm but it's worth it to grow your own food. 😊❤ God Bless I love your dress you are beautiful ❤
Chrissy, I know that you love and cherish all of your animals. Is there any way that you could separate Winston from the other pigs if the vet can't neuter him? Could the vet do a chemical castration? I don't know if that's possible or not. Best wishes from the Texas Hill Country. I know that you will do what's best for Winston. ❤
Hmmm… I’d see about neutering Winston. Pigs are highly intelligent, and rehoming him will cause him emotional stress. He will have no idea why you are rejecting him. It would be worth the cost of neutering to have him and you continue your relationship.
Sorry about Winston , Chrissy . You are right , Cut him or move him out . Dad was dairy farmer . He said just one bull . Then you know for sure . Seeya
Oh NO! Not Winston!!!! He didn’t do it…he’s innocent. Maybe it was a dormant gene. I understand you got to do what you got to do… no hate here, just a tear. Hoping to get a chance to meet you next month. Take care and stay safe.
I’m team Winston can’t u just get him fixed so he doesn’t have leave? Your his home I’m sure you can find a vet that can do it. I luv all the piglets the black and white ones are my favorite. If I lived in the country I’d give him a home. I hope u can find a dr that will do it. I’m gonna have to investigate on pig knowledge from some of my other farming friends. I hope he gets to stay home. Team Winston!!
If I were you, I'd have him vet checked to see 1 if he is even fertil and / or 2 if he can be fixed. I know how much you love him and he loves you! I'd hate for you to remove him and then find out he's not even fertil. Just my opinion. Good luck, Chrissy!! ❤
What type of pig is Winston? I would not try to neuter Winston. I watch Sneads farmhouse, and she has a big old Cooney Cooney that she loved but she needed to neuter because the female was a very bad mother. The vets will tell you it does not go well with sedating adult males. They do not do well under anesthesia at all. I thought surely her pig was going to die and so did she. He made it barely but it was touch and go. Can’t you have the vet do a scan? he should be able to tell you if there are testicles in there or not.
Honestly getting rid of winston wouldnt be an option if it were me so many other things you could do like move him and your meat pig out when females are in heat or have him checked by a vet one of his testicles could have gone inside its your place so your choice but youve had him that long it seems cruel to just get rid if him.

Love the itching rock! The piglets are adorable.
I would see if Winston can maybe get fixed first before I give him away. He's so cute! If not I'm sure someone would love to give him a loving home!
Oh Boy!!! Each day has a new obstacle to deal with!!! I hope you find out it’s not too costly to neuter Winston & he gets to stay! 💜
Wishing you all a blessed day and that all will turn out just right for everyone. 🌞
Good morning ☕ Chrissy
Love your sunflowers 🌻 🌻 🌻 🌻 🌻
That stipe u should call it squirrel cuz it looks like a squirrel but in piglet form!!!
Aww loved the baby piggies! Watching them run was so cute. Hope whatever decision yall make about Winston is the best one. I know you love him. Love the beautiful sunflowers ❤️
Hopefully Vet can help. If not, it’s understandable that he needs a new home. ❤
Oh no Chrissy..😢😢😢😢 I'm trying not to cry. I understand tho the option of him leaving. Look into getting him fixed.❤
I say before you do that have him vet checked. You will be so heart broken if he is fixed...stay safe ❤
makes sense to test him since you love him so much. then you will know for sure if he is intact
I would have a vet check Winston out first before I got rid of him. Who knows maybe they can fix him at this age. Good luck.
Get Winston fixed. They fix dogs that are that old , i'm sure they can fix him . And he looks like he good company for the other pigs and babies .
Talk to a vet. See if they can fix him. Then you don't have to ger rid of him.
He's so cute n I know u love him.
Hugs I know it's got to be difficult whatever u decide .🥰
Hey Chrissy, hope you and Jeremy, Preston and Parker are doing well ❤
What a hard decision ❤❤❤❤

Tough decisions ❤
Get Winston checked so you dont always wonder. I think no matter what you need to confirm it would be worth it.

Great job!
Ya'll look like you mean business lol. Be careful there is toe beans in them paws! To friggin cute!
Please get a vet out to check him out as you would regret rehoming him if future litters come out striped as well
How about a separate pen for Winston and the other males.

Hope you can keep him but totally understand why you might have to get rid of him. Prayers for all ❤

💜💜💜
Winston is awesome...gonna miss him❤
I would see if he can be fixed, if not put him in his pet only area
Hopefully you get this all figured out out soon love you

I know ;( in Bristow?
@@ParagonRidgeRanch yep..kind of excited, not exactly Florida. After 17 years of no vacation, I am game for just about anywhere but here😎
Please don't get rid of Winston. Please don't get rid of him.😢

Is there a type of chemical castration for a pig. If not I would go with the rehoming also. You always have to watch the bottom line on the farm
❤❤❤😍😍😍
❤❤❤❤❤😢😢😢😢
Can you take Winston to a vet to confirm? Why would the previous owners tell you he was neutered if he wasn’t? I mean it’s possible but?
Man hard decision see if a vet can check him first
Oh plz test Winston before you decide anything. 😢
If you want to do d&a no them because the ones out of one can't be out of the other one in other words they can not have to dad's
Can you separate him in a diff pen? I would ask about neutering
I can but that would make him so so sad and lonely.

Can’t you dna check the babies in question?
Oh goodness, maybe, but the cost will out way the babies sales
And why does he have to go?😊
