Three easy steps to Reset Cisco AP using MODE button:
Step 1: Disconnect power (the power jack for external power or the Ethernet cable for in-line power) from the access point.
Step 2: Press and hold the MODE button while you reconnect power to the access point.
Step 3: Hold the MODE button until the Status LED turns amber (approximately 10 to 12 seconds), and release the Button. All access point settings return to factory defaults.

1. (AIR-AP1832I-C-K9) Connected console port
2. press mode button, power up the AP
3. release the mode button after 23 sec
all is doing well but after reboot AP is shown as previous setup.
So, what is the procedure to reset it completely to default?
Isn't Putty outlawed in India?

how to reset cisco router 871 to factory default
To reset a Cisco Access Point to its factory defaults using the Mode button, follow these steps:
1. Locate the Mode button on your Cisco Access Point device. It is usually a small button, often recessed, and may be labeled as "Mode" or "Config."
2. Ensure the Access Point is powered on. If it's not, connect the power adapter and turn it on.
3. Press and hold the Mode button for about 10-15 seconds. You may need a paperclip or a similar tool to press the recessed button.
4. While continuing to hold the Mode button, locate the Power button on the device. Press and hold the Power button as well.
5. Keep both buttons pressed for another 10-15 seconds. The Access Point's status LEDs will start blinking, indicating that the device is in reset mode.
6. Release both buttons simultaneously. The Access Point will now reset and reboot, restoring it to its factory defaults.
7. Once the reset process is complete, the Access Point will be configured with its default settings, and you can proceed with the initial setup and configuration process.
Note: Resetting your Cisco Access Point to factory defaults will erase all current configurations and settings. Make sure you have a backup of any important information before proceeding with this process.
