Vishal Chauhan I absolutely adore Ellie Goulding, bought all her albums and went to see her live. BUT when she made her debut with 'Under The Sheets' I was afraid she was NOT going to last because her vocals live were way too soft and shaky in comparison to her recorded versions!
youronlineboyfriend Was just at her show on 3/16 and not only did she kill it when it came to Under The Sheets, but every song was fantastic. She even learned how to sing Lights well live. Everyone thinks her vocals are altered for Burn, but she's got unique vocals that sound like her records. I won't say she didn't struggle at first. but Ellie Goulding has definitely come a long way and was an amazing show live 2 weeks ago!
youronlineboyfriend Also in terms of this song -- Tove Lo is pretty great live, but this isn't close to the studio -- you can tell she's extending her vocals a lot vs. keeping her vocals at a more normal range in the original
this live performance exposes the emotion she's channelling into the lyrics - like crying into the microphone - gives the song alotta punch. I really hooked on this song!
