Start to finish masterful. At a certain point I just forget it’s a demo and I get mesmerized by RJ’s playing. Like I’m following a story down a rabbit hole and inside the mind of the hero.
Gidday mate, this is the best demo of the Player Plus Nashville tele that I've seen (and I've seen a few)... thanks so much. Love your playing; very tasteful and dynamics... could listen to you all day, cheers.
Clearly you have never seen the master of the telecaster. I suggest watching the build up but he reveals the magic at the 2:11 mark. ruclips.net/video/P_nTi_uCLu0/видео.html
That opening groove is one of the tightest jams I've ever heard. That skanky single note grooving at the end shows just how much can be expressed with one note. Always wanted a Nashville Tele...
I've looked up and watched several guitar playing review videos of ones I'm interested in and... after I watched your video, I don't believe they are same models anymore. What kind of magic did you do on those guitars???😲 Incredible. Just wonderful. Amazing guitarist you are. 👍👍👍👍👍
You can put a broomstick with a string on it in his hands and it'll sound awesome. But this one just sounds rediculously good! This really makes me wanna get one of these...
Dude, come on. You know his name is Johnny Knoxville. The inventor of the Nashville Tele was the television show Nashville, which, interestingly, was produced by fictional character Nash Bridges.
What a fantastic review the best I've ever seen. First of all You are an amazing guitar player. The way you have demonstrated the tonal variety is brilliant. What an incredible tonal colours you get out of this guitar is astounding. You don't need any other guitar this will do it all. By seeing this review I am going to get one of these beautiful guitars Thank you once again for this amazing review. All the very best to you in the future. Terry Quinn.
Great playing (as usual!), guitar sounds great. But I have to say, the drum track on the intro piece sounds absolutely amazing! Really cool funky backing track!
Sounds phenomenal, I wasn't sold on nashville teles before but the playing and the tones from this wow. That being said I prefer the look of a classic 2 pup tele
On any good nashville tele, you still have the exact same tones as a normal telecaster, you just have EXTRA ones on top of that. You can get the middle positions, position 2 and 4 on a strat, or you can get the classic tele middle position with the bridge and neck pickups only, with the middle one switched off. I have a Mexican fender strat that does the same thing but the other way around. It has 3 normal strat pickups, but it also has a button on it that turns on the bridge pickup. So if you're in the neck position, you can turn on the bridge pickup and get that tele twang tone. Or you can even be in the 4th position, with the neck and middle pickups on, and then press the button then to turn on all 3 pickups at once, it's the absolute twangiest tone I've ever found. It's like a tele but supercharged with the twanginess. But I'd definitely like a nashville style tele as well. There's still enough of a difference between the tones that you can't just have a strat or a tele on its own, you have to have both.
@@MrJones-ge5sl agree on the look. Some teles from the 90s I think had a nickle plate over the strat pickup to match the tele neck pickup. I think they were called the V2. I know etsy and other online places sell strat pickup covers that match the tele cover.
That’s funny. I had one of these in the early 2000s and I had to wire in my own push pull pot to turn on the bridge pickup in the neck pickup position. Looks like fender finally got the message
Best video out there for this new Tele. Excellent playing, torturing that poor new Nashville while putting her thru its paces! I just had to order one today! Thank you.
This one has a push/pull tone pot that allows you to play the bridge & neck pups together, or all three together. Nashville deluxe players who wanted that had to mod the switching. This one has a wider neck at the nut, and it has a belly contour on the back of the body. This one sells for $30 more at the moment. I've had a Nashville Deluxe for almost five years and have been very happy with its versatility. This one is even more versatile and for only $30 more it's probably worth it.
Now, this has an interesting feature. It has a dust jacket. Books used to have these to protect the covers. Of course, that was before they had dust-repellent paper. And if you're interested in dust, we have a quaint little piece from the 1980s. It's called a DustBuster
Man, you killed it! Nice nice sounds. As for the guitar, I feel like if Fender is going to stratify a tele, then they need to cut in the arm rest. That’s the one thing I hate about teles. Otherwise they are absolutely wonderful. My $1100 tele sounds better than my $2600 strat.
Question for everyone (especially if you have one of these): is this aged CAR "better looking" than the sunburst. Or just in general, does it look good?
Quality playing as always R.J. I’ll definitely be getting a new Tele soon, I think this one with the aged candy finish could be the one, it looks and sounds excellent. Thanks
Cool guitar and great demo. I dig the noiseless pickups and ability to get all 7 combinations. In this demo it does sound to me like the middle pickup is a little dominant when on. I would lower the height just a bit. (Obviously subjective, js...)
I have the Nashville tele right before that came out. It has that scooped neck joint but not the contoured body. How low do u have that middle pickup set?I always feel like I’m hitting it.
Now that's some versa-tele-ty.
Hahaha! So true! 🤘🏽🥲
Now thats gaying alot

Best Nashville Tele demonstration video I've seen... absolutely stellar playing. A gorgeous sounding and looking guitar.
hell yea ...well put!!
I agree sounds great
Sold me on it. Bought one today, same finish and all. 75th aniversary edition. Very happy with it! Thanks for the video.
Gidday mate, this is the best demo of the Player Plus Nashville tele that I've seen (and I've seen a few)... thanks so much. Love your playing; very tasteful and dynamics... could listen to you all day, cheers.
That is the most impressed by a Tele I've ever been, the Friedman didn't hurt tho. Cheers.
Clearly you have never seen the master of the telecaster. I suggest watching the build up but he reveals the magic at the 2:11 mark.

This guitar sounds at home with you.
I could take a full album of that opening track with you and this guitar.
Great demo! Thank you.
That opening groove is one of the tightest jams I've ever heard. That skanky single note grooving at the end shows just how much can be expressed with one note. Always wanted a Nashville Tele...

One of the best reviews I’ve ever seen, everything I need to know and nothing I don’t. Perfect thank you
ce n'est pas une démo de cette guitare mais juste une démo de la dextérité du guitariste !
Best demo I've heard on a tele
Man this guy can play anything and make it sound good
You can put a broomstick with a string on it in his hands and it'll sound awesome.
But this one just sounds rediculously good!
This really makes me wanna get one of these...
The funk is strong with this one.
Whoever came up with the Nashville Tele is a cool cat!
it was jackass star Johnny Nashville i think
Dude, come on. You know his name is Johnny Knoxville.
The inventor of the Nashville Tele was the television show Nashville, which, interestingly, was produced by fictional character Nash Bridges.
@@Ottophil heh...
That intro is so badass
Great demo, and not a single word needed to be spoken.
RJ is the man! As always.
Love it when RJ plays funky!
I love RJ's work and this video was decisive in me pulling the trigger and buying this guitar today in Sunburst.
What a guitar and what a player , stunning !
May the funk be with you. A1!

Hats off for the Hellacopters shirt!!!!! Hi Energy Sweds RPZ
Love watching these videos; you're such a skilled player with a large vocabulary of licks. Very inspiring. Thanks for always sharing!
That Nashville! So nice. Definitely the paferro neck
I’m here to listen to a good demo. Not like those other ones that beat up what they don’t understand
Great playing (as usual!), guitar sounds great. But I have to say, the drum track on the intro piece sounds absolutely amazing! Really cool funky backing track!
Wow 😮 amazing opening jam.
Sounds phenomenal, I wasn't sold on nashville teles before but the playing and the tones from this wow. That being said I prefer the look of a classic 2 pup tele
I find the white middle p/u a little off-putting aesthetically, but it sure sounds great!

The Hellacopters T-shirt!! Superb playing, R.J.!!
The new Fender player plus noiseless pickup sounds very good
Brotha, you always play tight but that was ridiculous!! Gahdamn!
Well time to set aside $250 each paycheck for this. I'm definitely buying one in a few weeks.
Finally bought it today. 😁
Amazing playing as always R.J. it's a great sounding guitar.
Love that neck pickup. All of it really is good but that neck pickup.
Who hurt you, people who hit "thumbs down"? When did you lose the capacity for joy? ;)
Nice Tele 👍 Sounds great 👌 Sweet Jams
I like Telecaster but I don’t like the bridge pickup, I know, I know. The twang is what it’s know for. Somehow you made it sound awesome.
One guitar to rule them all
Definitely seems the truth.. been thinking that myself.. very versatile.. blues..bluesrock.. soul.. funk..country.. classic rock
Great playing
What an absolutely brilliant demo, knocked out
Mine is one the way. Merry Christmas to me. In Blue. Something different.
I’ve owned and played many teles. Is it just me or is this really among the better production models overall?
I wish they offered that color with maple fretboard. Great demo!!!
Man, that was so good so,,,, ahhh,,,, yeah I just ordered one, LOL. Like I need another tele!!! Well, then again, who doesn't!?!
R.J., your playing is ALWAYS impeccable. Nice review, thanks.
Is it possible to purchase the backing track from the intro?
Best video out there for this new Tele. Excellent playing, torturing that poor new Nashville while putting her thru its paces! I just had to order one today! Thank you.
The best....RJ Ronquilo....love your styles man....
Awesome demo and great playing! Thank you for posting.
Great seeing/hearing such great playing to demo the guitar!
uhhhhhhh mennn super delicious tone and playing my man!
What a player
Tried out this guitar tonight..so good!!
Lots of sizzle with the gain turned up..
Being a rock player, it really surprised me.
Great playing , great guitar !
Great tele tone RJ
Great playing, great tones. Dammit - RJ could make a rusty spade sound magic...and it'll make me want to buy one
Beautiful man....thank you.
Stunning instrument!!
Telecasters seem to bring out the best in RJ, and a very cool tele it is!
What a groove dude.. 🤪
Tasty playing!
Hey RJ! Your demo and amazing playing convinced me to get the Nashville 🙏🏼Where can I get the backing track? Pleaaaaase and thank you ☺
I agree! Great playing and need that backing track!
Great sounds
Excellent demo!
Nice playing 😊
Awsome demo!
hello from Jakarta - Indonesia.. Great Guitar Tone!
Great playing!
Great playing, and cool looking/sounding tele.
Very Nice, RJ!
Great demo 👌🏻
Sounds great. What's the difference between this and the Nashville Deluxe?

No contoured heel on the player plus - but I like the push pull for extra tones
I’m a fan of the Player Series. I have an HSH Strat. Affordable quality.
DAMN that is pretty. Thanks!
Damn that’s a nice color.
R. J., How do you keep your amps and gear so clean? Do they ever get dusty?
If you play them loud enough you wont need to clean them!
He's real serious about music as you can tell from how good he is. I'm sure he cleans every couple days.
Now, this has an interesting feature. It has a dust jacket. Books used to have these to protect the covers. Of course, that was before they had dust-repellent paper. And if you're interested in dust, we have a quaint little piece from the 1980s. It's called a DustBuster
Micro fiber cloths work very good.
Easy just clean them
Love your music R.J.
I personally prefer the Tele over the Strat.
Is there a new Lonesome Joseph album coming soon?
Sounds great “ what kinda strings and. Gauge?
Man, you killed it! Nice nice sounds. As for the guitar, I feel like if Fender is going to stratify a tele, then they need to cut in the arm rest. That’s the one thing I hate about teles. Otherwise they are absolutely wonderful. My $1100 tele sounds better than my $2600 strat.
Schector has a tele with the arm cut and also has binding and it looks really nice
The over driven tones are what Im looking for!
Nice review
Ufff!! this guitar is so hot, my computer is on fire!
Guy is a great player
Question for everyone (especially if you have one of these): is this aged CAR "better looking" than the sunburst. Or just in general, does it look good?
At first, Pau ferro fingerboard seemed awful to me, but man...I like them!
Quality playing as always R.J. I’ll definitely be getting a new Tele soon, I think this one with the aged candy finish could be the one, it looks and sounds excellent. Thanks
You're playing is so fucking clean. Was on the fence about this model but I'm pulling the trigger with your affiliate link.
They should make this with all Strat pups as an option.. better body and control layout of the Tele with Strat tonal palette.
Cool guitar and great demo. I dig the noiseless pickups and ability to get all 7 combinations. In this demo it does sound to me like the middle pickup is a little dominant when on. I would lower the height just a bit. (Obviously subjective, js...)
Its a strat pickup
BEAUTIFUL !!!!!!!
I have the Nashville tele right before that came out. It has that scooped neck joint but not the contoured body.
How low do u have that middle pickup set?I always feel like I’m hitting it.
Hss 2020 player stratocaster...love it
Excellent playing and note choice! Tele sounds great!
Better than a Strat!
That's the only guitar with a pau ferro fretboard that I like the look of.
Hi.What's the differrence between vintage noiseless pickups and player plus noiseless pickups?
Would look tasty with a roasted maple fretboard
