In this video I’m explaining Interview questions asked during Medical Writing Interview.
Medial writing is one of the challenging job in the medical/pharmacy profession. Writing is not everyone’s cup of tea. If you are very passionate about medical profession and has a flair for writing, then Medical Writing profession is for you! It is not a tough job, but yes it’s a challenging one.
In this blog, I will explain you types of interviews questions asked during an interview for a medical writing professional.
Basically, interview is divided in two parts - 1) Personal interview 2) Professional interview
Personal Interview Questions asked for Medical Writing Professional
• Tell me about yourself
• What are your strengths & weaknesses
• What are your greatest achievements
• Tell us about your biggest disappointments
• Tell us about the most difficult time in your life & how did you overcome it
With above set of questions, interviewer tries to analyze decision making capabilities of an individual.
• What is drug development process (Here you need to explain the process from raw material to a finish product. Mention duration/trials etc)
• What projects did you work earlier? What were your learnings
• Tell me different roles of medical writer
• What makes an ideal medical writing profession
Medical writing is an esteemed profession. Every day, medical writers are detailing, documenting, and sharing news and research that is improving health outcomes and saving lives. Their roles and opportunities are always evolving, whether they’re crafting peer reviewed articles reporting on clinical trials, marketing cutting edge devices, educating health care professionals or even the general public about new treatments, or writing grant proposals to fund innovative research.

@@archanamishra9566 Sure, questions like what are the types of documents you author in MW, what is PADER/PBRER etc, What is CSR, Protocol there are many such questions. The above mentioned are related to PV and Regulatory writing, there are different branches of MW like Medico-marketing where questions based on what type of articles or papers you've published are asked, questions on posters and leaflets of Pharma products are asked etc.

@@archanamishra9566 Sure, if you're a fresher and preparing for a PV MW role, then go through the ICH E2c (R2) guidelines, go through the basic documents such as PADER, PBRER, DSUR, PSUR, ACO, Addendum, etc., Then they might also ask you about AE, SAE, and it's reporting timelines, apart from this the basics of PV, Risk Benefit analysis, different sections of PBRER might be asked as well.
