almost never see subway systems in setups like these, i think yours really tie it all together and looks nice! i think some stairs would still be nice, but maybe having them be part of the background is better. and have their entry points above ground maybe out of sight (or just implied without being built). the elevator is a very nice touch though.
@@keltondavisLEGO i think locationwise it would make sense to have an alley access going towards the wall between your house and the bookstore. but it is too tight atm. then you could have a sign pointing towards the alley and make a "fake" entrance, build a stair on the underside that makes sense up to that point and link it up to the platform. not sure if this makes any kind of sense to you but i think it can be done, but not without modifying a bit, since i think you would need at least 4-6 studs extra space and probably sacrifice parts of your garden then.
Looks great KD! I would suggest that if you continue to add to your subway station, that you put posters or little displays that nod to your successful or favourite RUclips Lego videos your channel has done. All the best!
Love the build! It looks very impressive! So much work and patience must have gone into it. I'm looking forward to doing something like this at our place. My suggestion would be to make red brick walls for the subway background, just like some stations in NYC.
Thank you so much! I thought about ted brick, but I did some color testing down there and the red looked REALLY dark. A light blue seemed to be the only color that worked well.
I love this city. I feel like a lot just have a ton of space and no creativity. Having a probem and working around it is perfect. I do hate you are tempting me with this haha. Also, I am blaming you for this, bug found a sheirff lock up and waiting for it to arrive. Excited for more

Seeing How you have quite the Modular Lego City going, I'd love to see a video of you ranking all of the Lego Modular Buildings! At the moment I'm contemplating getting the Tudor Corner and/or the Bookshop!

Please consider adding a monument for the square if you make it. Keep it up bro 🔥
Awesome ideas! I'll definitely have to do the square with the city name! But I guess I need a name.... Everything else is something I already plan on doing. Excellent brainwave!
You should do some more videos about trains with the same format as your retro lego series! Showing retro LEGO trains (if possible) and awesome closeup shots of classic LEGO train sets!
An absolute dream episode of mine would be tracing the whole history of LEGO trains. The bank account doesn’t agree quite yet 😂 But it’ll come someday!
Beautiful, always dreamt of building something like this in my city, once I finally rebuild all my destroyed Legos, that is. Loved the part where your daughter's creation came in 🤣
You did an amasing job! I hope it wont be rude, but i woud suggest you make another drill holl and make an automated stairs escalator, open on the side so one can see the mech. Also this color sensor gives you the opportunity to make the train stop on the stations :) Never the less it looks awsome
I feel like the subway station is way to long. Typically they are the size of the train. Maybe instead of a really long subway station you can have some construction or maintenance going on. Maybe a sewer system or a water filtration system. Or an underground secret lab full of experiments that are going wrong. Or maybe a Bat-cave, right underneath the Daily Bugle, to make it really unique!
I have just started my shelf city from pretty much nothing, so it's going to take a while before i actually make much progress considering i also have a tight budget for this project. But just by seeing this subway design i have to try this in the future! Getting 1 shelf installed for now, but once i have enough buildings ill consider getting another
First time watching your videos and I’m hooked! This is my favourite display so far. There’s so many things you did that I was envisioning for my own display and other ideas I will probably take from you when I’ll have the money, the space and the approval of my girlfriend for it haha For your subway, it would be nice to have a third stop added in the middle.
@@keltondavisLEGO You're welcome ! Btw what did you use to make the Up House float in the air? I want to do something similar with mine over my modular buildings display

I totally want to do a tunnel in the future. The extra long platform is basically just the foundation for future builds down there. Just need the studs as a foundation.

The platform is almost egregiously long
Especially with the train being so short, it makes the station feel ridiculous and a look out of place

I'm confused, why did you make the platform several times longer than the actual train?
Cuz I just wanted to fill the space with studs for now. It’s likely to turn into some sort of tunnel in the future.
