I just love a child who acts like a child. She's playful, easy to laugh, most importantly, she acts her age. Though she is musically gifted and plays the bass better than some older adults, she's isn't obnoxious like some musically gifted children are. May she continue to bring joy to everyone who listens and watches her play bass guitar. I love it. Great job mom and dad for keeping your angel grounded. ❤

I used to play that rift in between songs on a upright electric base in a ska band in New Orleans long before you were born.. so good to hear and you do it very well
I do not know how or why this video came up as recommended on my channel but so happy it did. Started my day off with a smile. Not only is the artist talented and adorable but the song brings smiles as well. Thank you to Ellen for bringing a bit of light to the world.
Definitely a bass line. Played it in high school band in the late ‘60s (baritone horn), then 40 years later as my son’s aid (he was also in band - baritone sax and due to a disability required someone to assist -me). That short bass riff has stayed with me now into 7 decades and you, young gifted star, honour it more than I can express. Great job! Henry would be pleased.
Learning tunes like this is lots of fun. Keep expanding, exploring and learning Ellen. I hope you always enjoy playing music. You are a true player young lady.
I've always thought of this as a bass line, and you play it perfectly. I play punk rock drums, and a band I used to hang out with had their bassist play this in the middle of one of their own songs!
This tune is full of so much memories for me. As weird as it would be, my father wanted it to be played for his funerals. Now when i hear it, i remember him and as it is so well played so... Thank you
I am 50 and been a musician and in bands since i was 10... This is the first time I saw a bassist and thought, awww man they're cool. U rock dear keep it up!!!
Can't wait until we all see you what you do when you are older! Watched my son taking lessons for 10 years, music is another language and helps develop the young mind more than you would without it. Great job!
Ellen is amazing in her improvisation on the original bass line. Back in the days, Bass lines were more simple and didn't actually take "starring" roles that much, but here she plays the melody as well. I hope no one discourages this great talent and goes beyond ... go girl, you got it!
The fact that her father exposes her to all the really good music is amazing ,she's very talented and should end up a star and has her father to thank, fantastic job dad
This and "Axel F" from Beverly Hills Cop are the perfect soundtrack pieces for any and all life situations. Both tunes make one feel empowered, important, and slightly mysterious. 🤘
When i was in high school , 11th grade in 75. There was a guitar class but me and 2 others were Bass players who practiced and studied alone in our own seperate room. One of my bass playing class mates who was more accomplished than me use to play this Pink panther tune on the bass all the time. I also DO agree it is a Bass line young lady. It is fun to play , also throwing in some slides at the correct spots. This sounds great. The tone is perfect 👍🎶🎸
Hey Dad! Way to go! Someone needs to say thank you for raising a awesome young girl. You cultivated her talents and gives this so called Luther of bass guitars ( who still caint play lol) a goal to copy.
The best proof that this theme from 1963 is a masterpiece is been proven here today that kids love this song so much they replay it. Thanks for the cool video!!!
You play brilliantly well. It's a pleasure to watch your videos. And I agree, this is definitely a bass baseline. I loved the reference to Davie504 at the end.🤣
That took me down memory lane lol haven't watched Pink Panther in years . Your Bass skills are amazing, started playing guitar and bass recently and NGL, a bit jealous of how good you are at it lol . Got a new subscriber here🤟
That was really cool. I'll also mention on here (because the comments are off on the other video) that your Barney Miller theme video gave me shivers. I'm in my 50's now, but I used to watch that show when I was your age. I always LOVED that theme song.
Girl can play! Nice job! I must say, I have had PINK PANTHER Theme as my main ringtone for years. But I just replaced it with your bass version! Awesome!
If Ellen says it's a bass line, then you can be assured that it is a bass line. I remember playing that bass line on my baritone saxophone. Such a great song!

I may be in trouble with daughter, who is pro violinist. My question is. Why not both. Like Ellen she choose which she enjoys most.
Wow! This was so brilliant 👏 🙌 It makes me think of Tina the bass player from Talking Heads. She's got a huge future ahead of her. Absolutely loved this!
Yes it is a bass line. But I have never seen a tiny bass guitar like that. I am a guitarist don't know my notes that well and I guess that's what makes you a great bass player. Such a joy to watch this incredibly talented young lady. Remember the name folks - she’ll be one of the greats.
Got it. Will she have to do well in school?

The Pink Panther on Bass sounds so fabulous. She did a great performance
Most of the song was ALWAYS on bass!! The young lady is absolutely correct and played it perfectly!! That’s how Henri Mancini wrote it!!
Ellen has the enthusiasm I love in young people , that smile. I can watch these videos all the time.

It isn't. It is originally a sax line.
So inspiring watching Ellen grow as a bass player and to a degree, as a person.
