I drive rentals like I stole them.... Drive mine like a grandma so take full advantage of the chance to drive like a maniac. Truth.
The industry won’t thank you. Your wallet will. A small scratch will be billed, a dent too. Too many miles are a no-no, even though it says so.
They will put you on a no-rental list. Many Uberites found out the hard way.
In Europe, ensure that it’s clean in and out. No free carwashing. It will be billed to your account. Full tank to. I mean full.
I worked for corporate rental co. Never again.

I always try to rent high powered cars and rag them out. After paying 70-150 a day I feel like I’m still being taken advantage of. I don’t care about a multinational corporation’s assets

I had a Hertz rental car in December. The oil drain plug fell out of it driving down a texas interstate. Lost all its oil on the interstate in Texas. They came and towed it, filled it back up and put it back on the road. Rental cars are a joke lol

hi Scotty Kilmer i have a 1999 Honda accord 3.0 with 200.017 miles and still going and very well i love this car i take care of it .
My 2012 Honda Accord has 232,345 miles nothing done, just regular maintenance, will drive it until the wheels fall off love it. Had 3 Honda's 2 Civics until I got bigger car for kids.
I saw a cybertruck on a rollback today. 100k truck only a year old is already broke down.

I rent from hertz all the time it's my preferred rental car agency. I treat the cars right and I even vacuum the interior before I turn them in.
How do you do that from jail?
Why would you vacuum it? They clean the cars each time they swap it out

@@domini384for peace of mind, one time I returned a car and I was charged a cleaning fee. I wasn't sure if the interior was dirty because I didn't check, maybe I returned it smelling like B.O. I'm not sure. So from then on I started to vacuum and spray some cologne before I return it.
Before my health failure, I was the designated flatbed specialist and I got the calls for Teslas because their breakdowns seized them in place. No neutral mode unless they were operational. DPS had to drag one from the freeway and I had to get it from the intersecting road and a few miles to a charging area in a shopping mall. The truck was 30feet long and the bed slides 8feet to allow the locked up tires to be shaken off the bed and then the hydraulic system could be used to push the truck out from under the car. The same stuff had to be done with other electric drive cars such as Toyota Prius and Nissan Leaf. I managed to handle a lot of them with my booster box because the control system would shut down at 10 volts and the booster could reactivate the 12VDC control system. Even at that, the clamp has to be put in contact with the correct metal surface. Diesel powered trucks have to be used for lots of electric cars.
I installed my first set of Akebono brake pads a few weeks ago and they’re night and day from Duralast ceramic pads. Hardly any dust, an incredible difference for white wheels.

Rental companies usually get massive discounts off normal retail prices, sometimes up to 50% in the past.
I had a 2014 Kia Sedona for 7 years and 120,000 miles with no problems.I did my own routine service on it and enjoyed owning it.
If I could have again only one of the 24 cars I've owned over the last 55 years, my 2001 Kia Rio Cinco would be it. I had it 9 years and 99,000 trouble free, comfortable miles, and only traded it because I needed a van. (I've owned Hondas, Toyotas, Subarus, Dodges, Fords, a Suzuki, and VW's.)
Didn’t know a Kia lasted that many miles.

Got my kid a 24 Kia Soul with 16,000 miles for $16,000 at Hertz. Even if it has a few issues the warranty has four more years on it.
That's why I bought my Hyundai accent from them, had warranty left on it. 123, 914 miles. I've had it since 2017, it's a 2016

Every rental car company, every auto dealership, every used car dealer, - everyone everywhere are selling used cars at the highest amount possible, and getting an actual "deal" on a good used vehicle nowadays is nearly impossible. With the pandemic scarcity of parts like chips, and then double-digit inflation, the price of all cars has gone way up, and I don't see them coming down ever again.
Hertz does their own repairs to the vehicles so they don’t get reported.

The stainless steel does not need to be beautiful,it is hard to dent ,and still looks the ok with out wash and polish. Just use it very little maintenance. A very dirty truck. Love it!
back in 1990 l bought a year old mustang from hertz. it was half the price of a new one.

Tesla - Stainless steel is great for vehicles in the Rust Belt. Where in the winter they salt the roads more than the French Fries. They should move in the Rust belt - as it doesn't rust like regular steel does eventually.
"Promises" are fragile by nature and easily broken.
Fragile is an Italian word meaning, “it goes on the bottom.”
There are two ways people drive rental cars... cautiously because it's not theirs or carelessly because it's not theirs. I'm not taking that chance buying one.
Buy a truck or a minivan from rental companies. They don’t allow towing and no hot rod guy drives crazy with the kids in the back seat.

Telsa probably uses Chinese SS, it always rusts since they minimize the percent of chromium.

My last car that I purchased was a rental car and I had nothing but trouble with it
I decided to recently purchase a used car from hertz for 13,800. It's a base 2020 mazda 3 sedan with only 50k miles on it. The car has it's scratches but mechanically it's great, 3 of my own mechanics looked at it. Oil was also recently changed and so was the air filter before I got it. Goal is to have car paid off the user before I head to pharmacy school
I bought from Hertz a used 2020 Pathfinder with 8k miles on it back in 2020 that was $10k cheaper than new vehicle.
Solid state batteries sounds good to me, lots easy to play with...

I wouldn't buy a car from Hertz if it was a single penny. They might claim that you stole it and end up in jail. They might also charge you for not filling up your gas tank on your Tesla rental.

I rented a car from Hertz and during the walk around before getting it, I found that the bumper was held on by self tapping wood screws.

I leave dead fish under the drivers seats in my rented cars over the years. TRUTH
Rental cars are run into the ground, they sell year old cars to auction companies they are cleaned fixing all the dents and scratches then on to dealers showrooms to unsuspecting customers who think they are buying a carefully driven low mileage car. I’ve seen it done.

Im a welder, and stainless is just difficult to deal with. Just the effort to keep it away from regular carbon steel is impossible. I dont know how many normies know this, but if you scratch stainless steel, with regular carbon steel, it's no longer stainless. Oh, and chromium is a carcinogen.
