At 333k kilometres, I asked my shop to do cleaning and injectors on my '03 Xc90 2.4Diesel. We have a saying in Turkey. "Slap the kid before he breaks the glass". So do maintenance before injectors fail.
What amazes me is how little people know about care or just will not perform in a timely manner. A car is expensive to purchase when new, yet most are not cared for. 😊
Cell phones and video games are more important to most nowadays. There are some 'guys' out there that can't even put fuel in their vehicles! Sad thing is I have seen this more than once!
I have a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe and the TPMS light came on. Took it to a dealer and they said all four sensors were bad and it would take $1300.00 to fix it. I said no and went home. Like Scotty’s customer, skip the repairs and fill the tires with air yourself.
You say CVT transmissions are bad. They are really bad even with proper maintenance. Jatco transmissions, I don’t know. When ever I buy a car new or used, I will ask about the motor AND Transmission. Tires and brakes also important.
Dude you raved about KNR filters in an earlier video. I bought one and put it in my car. Now you're saying paper filters are your preference? Now I have to go back to paper filters 😮 geezus
What type of scanner did you use ? I'd like a nice one for my 2005 impala. Poor gas mileage !!! 97,500 miles om it. Runs very quiet. Thanks. Love your videos !!!
i have a 2009 accord with 177k miles. Should i change the transmission fluid? Its an automatic and sometimes changing it will make the trans slip. Im assuming this video only applies to cvt trans, not auto trans.
The biggest thing killing your car is your future Tesla that you’re going to buy that has auto pilot and all the other features on the Tesla that make all the other cars seem like they’re in the Stone Age! You will wonder how you ever lived without it, not to mention the acceleration is INSANE!!! Honestly, it puts every other car to shame in every way.
Sometimes Teslas will spontaneously combust, and the fire cannot be extinguished after a collision. The temperature is extremely high, and it will burn again several days after being extinguished.

Every 3 or 4 oil changes. I let the drain plug out for a couple hours before replacing it. Just to get as much dirty oil as possible out. May not be necessary but it cant hurt either.
I change oil and filter on all my vehicles between 3 and 4K. I will not use 0W oil in anything, 5W is as low as i will go. If some one gives me some 0W I might use it in a oil can as that's all it might be good for as I see it.
It looks like the Toyota Corolla and the Honda has a removable fluid pan and filter. Some cars also have an inline filter on the line going to the cooler. Google your vehicle on line.
@myronstutzman1344 and there's a good change that material is keeping the trans working, change at your own risk but it ain't low odds😳😳😳 good luck on your journey
I say drain half fluid drive it 20 k drain half again every 20 k. This way you are getting a cleaner fluid without risking taking out whatever buildup was in gears that keep transmission functioning properly. Be conservative but clean some.
The next time i buyba car. Im going to make sure it doesnt use one of those paper oil filters. And im going to make sure that filter is on the bottom of the car (were it belongs!). My mini has it near the top of the engine. I have to move the coolant resevoir out of the way to reach the filter. When i move it it leaks. Last time i removed the filter. I moved the reservoir out of the way to put new filter back. Coolant dripped down and i think coolant dripped into the filter housing. 👎🤬. Quit being assholes engineers.
I have a question do u know what would cause my hvac system in my 2015 ram 1500 to not operate as it's super to I've replaced all actuators and the module and it still doesn't switch to the areas it's supposed to I would really appreciate someone that could help me with this i know scotty would know but anyone's help would be appreciated
The cause is its made by dodge/stellantis. I think scotty has videos on why heat/ac doesn't work. Could be the computer module. Cars need to stop relying on computers to work . Switches work better and last longer. If it was a mechanical system it would still work

You can buy the sensors aftermarket for like $120 tops. Then program them yourself. Very easy
My Santa Fe had all four sensors go out at 89K (among other things)…..I would never buy another Hyundai😔
it's probably just the battery in the sensor. there are youtube videos that show you how to change the battery in the sensor
Scotty , u think , has said sometimes the sensor is on THE SPARE!!
For that amount you can buy many tire pressure guages and a decent air compressor and have many hundreds left over.
