I'm not an expert at worm gear sets, but it looks like Inventor is not producing involuted (curved flanks) teeth. Notice how the teeth flanks look very flat, which is not how gear teeth look. If both the worm and worm gear were properly involuted then there may be proper clearance from the beginning.
