This is awesome, Emily! Sunshine is learning how to weave through the legs. She was nervous at first, but she slowly warmed up to it and now after a week or two she is much better.
I've just started learning weaves and my dog was better coordinated than I was. A lot. He seems to like it. So of course, the place to go is here. Almost always the best learning place.
This is a beautiful trick for many reasons. Very good in the warming up before playing frisbee and agility. I like your movements and give Tug a big hug for his backwards weaving. Fantastic!
I like this trick and have taught both my older dogs how to do it. This was a great refresher for my 6 mo old puppy. I also like the support from the other dogs in the room -- very cool. Sometimes my other dogs will come over expecting something so I go to another room. However, they will be calm and look like yours sometimes. Thank you for all your videos!
Oops. for some reason I answered someone else's comment under yours. Deleted it now. Thats awesome! I do actually have a video of how I trained the settle on the couch for training - ruclips.net/video/MfRrBH_beX8/видео.html
Neat! Halo is getting so tall! I love the end where the little dog is weaving between the legs of the bigger dog! I enjoy your videos so very much. Thank you for sharing and teaching.
Thanks for posting another wonderful tutorial. Absolutely love your channel & all what you do. WOW & such an awesome ending also. Thanks, your the best.
Fantastic! Great with all the stages ! I’ll try it today! Thanks for sharing! You continue to help me and my dog to learn and grow together! So greatful!!🙏🙏😍
I taught my dog this behaviour leading him with a target stick. I've started pairing with a verbal cue now (we have practiced one session every day or other day for about a week) so soon I should be able to remove the target stick. Let me tell you, it takes some coordination to switch the target stick between your hands while also having treats in both of them, but I've made it work!
Wow. I was struggling so much before because I was just trying to hand lure and my dogs kept trying to go around my legs instead of through them, dropping it on the floor seemed to get their focus off of the leg caution (or whatever their problem was lol) so they very quickly picked up that I wanted them between my legs! Thanks so much for this!
Great video. Well explained. I've got a giant puppy a 15 month Newfoundland. I am not tall and my dog is B.I.G. I teach her to weave in the kitchen and I have to hold on to a table. If not I'd go head down on to the floor when she comes from behind. I love and enjoy watching your videos. Aaaawww your little doggy was cute going under the London Bridge. Thanks for sharing and caring. 🐕🐾🐾👍👍👍💕
@@kikopup Thankyou. I tried the cane as well as a broomstick. She puts her paw round it, so she learnt a trick which she likes very much. I was hoping she'd get hold of my leg instead, no way. My dog isn't a giant in height but in width too. I am 70 years and I have to be careful not to injure myself. I had no problems with my 2 previous Newfoundlands and my black Lab, all 15 years who left me almost at the same time 15th 17th and 26th June 2018. They were very careful and elegant. This one is a TSUNAMI hyperactive. I use cones for her too, but I want her to weave elegently between my legs. I'll try again with a cane. Thanks for your precious advise. 🐕🐕
I dont do sposorships at all. Its something Im against. So I can tell you the honest truth is that the doggone good treat bags are made very well. I use mine every day for many years, and wash it in the washing machine all the time and it always comes out good as new. But previous bags Ive used the hinge breaks... this one has a magnet to keep it closed which I really like. www.amazon.com/Rewards-Deluxe-Training-Doggone-Good/dp/B00BYFB8Q0/ref=sr_1_6?crid=2208OZLYZIO42&keywords=doggone+good+rapid+rewards+pouch&qid=1565063556&s=gateway&sprefix=doggon%2Caps%2C202&sr=8-6
Thank you for another great and educational video! Could you by any chance provide a link/brand name for the toys you're using at 04:21? I have seen them in your videos before and they look like something my pup would love
They are Chuck it frisbees, the small ones on amazon, but they break really easily...when you play tug or the puppy chews on them. There used to be a brand called aspen soft bite but the company was bought by booda and those frisbees are even more breakable than these chuck it ones... so if you find a durable soft frisbee drop me a line because Im interested!!!
@@kikopup First of all thanks for replying! I am using Tug-e-Nuff's frisbee and my 6 months old border collie loves it. Really durable for tugging too, but it lacks the soft part on the outer ring.. Are those the same frisbees that Wish tugged on in your "proofing drop it and get it" vid? that one looked really good and durable. (Here's a link to that vid: ruclips.net/video/a4X3CWS-M60/видео.html)
I can’t figure out how to get my dog to move slowly. She wants to race through the in place weave and the moving forward weave. What should I be doing to get her to move more slowly?
Am I the only one having trouble with this? I can't even get my dog to weave through my legs once let alone doing it while stepping forward. She goes to poke her head in for a bit to get some of the treats and then backs back out and gets the treat from the outside.

Yay! Its such a great way to build their confidence!
Applause also for the four-legged spectators

Oh great! I am glad that it helped :)
I really like seeing this in trick shows. Will probably be teaching my collie this in the future. Thank you for posting.
Great Way to teach the dog that game ❤️
Thanks Steen :)

You can have a cane and transfer it to each hand and have the dog weave the cane back and froth as you move it.

Grandioso🔥🥰
Thank you !
I am so curious - how do you get your other dogs to behave so well while you are working with one of them like this ?
I have a video on that - ruclips.net/video/MfRrBH_beX8/видео.html
