now thats a simple word to teach ya dog thanks for the idea. I am always looking for more things to teach my Ruby which is the star of my youtube channel.
My old german shepherd/rotweiller mutt (RIP Molly) knew the difference between her ball, rope, and bone, but understood that they were all toys. She could retrieve each one depending on what word you used, and if you said "toy," she'd choose which one she wanted to bring. Sounds pretty awesome. My last dog RIP Fredricka knew over 60 tricks and like 20 people by name. I could tell her to go get her green ball and take it to grandma or who ever is there and she would. My current dog Ruby not quit at that level yet. So far she only knows like 4 objects. How ever Ruby does know many more tricks. Ruby is the star of my youtube channel.
I have a poodle that’s also very intelligent but I didn’t realize how cool it is until I read this. My dog knows when I’m gonna play with her by saying “ya wanna play” in a cheerful voice but the cool part is when I add “ball” at the end of the sentence or “toys” because she has learned to know which are her toys which are on her little bed and the balls which are her favourite. Rly cool cause when I say toys she gets her favourite and does the exact same thing as molly.
My dog has taken basic puppy training classes, but never learned paw. Just taught him 'paw', 'high five', and 'roll over' in 5 minutes. We'll work on reinforcing this week and move on to some of the others. Proud of my smart boy. He's the first dog I've had that picks up this fast.
Me and my dog did that when I was a little kid! It wasn't really a command, she would just see me running towards the house and try to beat me to it. 😂
I can't even get my dog to pick a ball is almost like the dog says to me " If you wanted the ball why did you trow it in the first place ? " (I m not your MAMA )
Not all dogs are fetchers. But, if you find things that encourage them to pick a item up on command, you can build it up to fetch. Usually can get it started with toys they like the most, like if they tug'o'war you can use that toy and teach them to let go of it on command.
@@FurlowT i was about to disagree with you after your first sentence but kept reading and you are very correct. Something else you can do is use a toy that holds treats and any time they pick it up give them an extra special bonus treat directly from you.

It’s weird, because she usually learns tricks really fast… She’s a border collie… but I guess having the treat available from the start is no good for a dog a smart as her LOL… She’s like “I have a treat right here, and you think I’m gonna do a trick? Keep dreaming!“ I was trying to think of a way I could teach her to do it with something else and then switch it to a treat once she understands… But I’m too afraid if I use something inedible, she’ll eat it anyway LOL. Lol any tips or tricks? Cause I really have wanted to teach her that one since she was a little dot and she’s almost 3 now!
@@speeeee35 what I did to get my Ruby started out is first teach the words "leave it" . Which is rather simple. Then teach the word or words you to get the treat. I use "Get it" Then once your dog has that mastered then you can start placing the treat on your dogs nose and tell them to "leave it" and then tell them to "get it" right away keep it only about a second or 2 long pause before you say get it. And if your dog tries for the treat before you say get it and if they miss the treat try to snag up the treat before they can get it or if your dog is truly great with leave it you can give that word if they try before you say so. Once they get pretty good with holding it for like a second or 2 then you slowly extend the time. My Ruby the star of my youtube channel can hold a treat on her nose for about 20 seconds now. She still not as good as my last though. Fredricka would hold a treat on her nose for well over a minute.

My dog Duke was definitely meant to be a therapy dog. He’s a black on white pointer-hound mix with a big heart shape on his side. When I went with my mom to pick him up from his previous owners who couldn’t afford him, I was in a bad place with my depression, and I’m now positive that he can sense it. He immediately ran to me, stood on two legs and gave me a hug. Whenever he noticed that I’m sad, he gives a sort of concerned moan/growl, looks at me sadly and offers his paw. He is an amazing dog and he may have saved me from suicide. My parents get frustrated because he only really understands me when I talk to him, and I’m the only one that can calm him down when he’s too scared or excited. I’ve had him for almost a year now and he’s about a year and a half old, but still understands when I have to leave him in his kennel or go upstairs without him. I don’t care what opportunities I have in my future, I’m never giving him up for anything.

My rescue pup is really good at learning tricks even tho Ive only had him two months, but to anyone having trouble teaching their dog..don't feel bad, it's kind of a trade off because he's hyper as heck and a tad bit COMPLETELY INSANEEEE!!!!

I’m Aussie and from northern Queensland and it gets superrr hot here so I take my dog to the beach a lot. Last summer my friends and I taught my dog to go on a surfboard with me
My dog can stay death :D She is already dead for 3 years. That deserves a treat. And my other dog is now 2 years old and she can sit, come and paw... 🐕😂
GG DOOD im guessing he may be food driven. Which happened to my bullmastiff all you have to do to train him more obediently is to say the word once, wait a 10 second period if he still doesnt obey lure him with a treat the second time to sit. Aftet he gets the hang of the the luring just start switching the reward to the opposite hand and lure the dog with the one the treats were in. After he sits on the first try you reward him witht the other hand and he will just catch on from there! It will seriously take 1 hour of training if he already knows the command! (Also use high value treats such as real meat) Trust me you will get fast result for dogs that are disobideint. if you let him sit after 5 times he has been asked, to him its he will do it whenever he wants which will create behaviour issue.
GG DOOD also never let your dog fail more then twice!!! Thats very important if he fails the first encourage him to get the second one correct and after that its a walk in the park!
My dog does ‘between lets go’ so he walks between my legs. We’re also working on ‘watch my back’ where he goes between my legs looking behind me and walks backwards as I walk forwards, barking if anyone gets too close. He’s a good boy 🤗
I taught my dog to "search". I give her an object which smells just like the object I want her to find. I let her sniff it and say "search!" After about 5 min she finds it!

My dog is intelligent as hell, I just taught her to roll over within minutes! Thank you. She's always been quick to learn all her tricks lol. Next ones gon be dancing 🙌
Would you be able to teach a 4 year old Pomeranian to backflip?? Is she too old or they are prone to back injuries so yeah X
My favorite trick on that list was definitely backflip
You can train your dog to pull you on a skateboard
My dog does this
My dogs do that, they love it. 😁
My rescue pup is really good at learning tricks even tho Ive only had him two months, but to anyone having trouble teaching their dog..don't feel bad, it's kind of a trade off because he's hyper as heck and a tad bit COMPLETELY INSANEEEE!!!!
Skate board or surf, both were awesome!
When it said 'FIRE IN THE HOLE!' I got and add for forest fires and I was like 'ooof'
I got a husky she’s about a few months old now and every time I take a bath she jumps in the bath with me ? Whatcha is weird but cute and if I take a shower she will sit and wait outside the bathroom until I’m done
Omg my husky would never
My dog runs and hides and walks around her pee as if nothing happen so we don't notice she peed lmao 😂 😂
I’m Aussie and from northern Queensland and it gets superrr hot here so I take my dog to the beach a lot. Last summer my friends and I taught my dog to go on a surfboard with me
I love dogs so much 🐕 🐶
My dog knew how to surf without teaching him anything :)
my dog when he was 10 months old his trick was doin backflips
My dog can stay death :D She is already dead for 3 years. That deserves a treat. And my other dog is now 2 years old and she can sit, come and paw... 🐕😂
Does that mean your dog is dead
my dog will sit if I say "sit" about 5 times
GG DOOD train it more efficient
henry maldonado he knows what sit means he just chooses not to listen. If I annoy him enough he will do it.
Mr CoolGoat My dog can sleep on command I made my hamster play dead he’s been doing it for a week now
i love the skatebording trick
My dog does ‘between lets go’ so he walks between my legs. We’re also working on ‘watch my back’ where he goes between my legs looking behind me and walks backwards as I walk forwards, barking if anyone gets too close. He’s a good boy 🤗
Hello Shea
How are you doing
I Love cats &dogs
I taught my to do bro first.... For that I love her.
I taught my dog to "search". I give her an object which smells just like the object I want her to find. I let her sniff it and say "search!" After about 5 min she finds it!
These dogs are amazing
Wow this helped my dog alot🐶Thanks
