There are a lot of good drone vids on all those cities. The only one that is even closs to Houston of those you mentioned is Miami, although Austin is coming up fast it's got a long way to go.
LA and Houston have lots of things in common, but in terms of skyline and urban planning Houston is doing better job. Houston’s skyline is much denser, have more CBDs, and more new buildings are under construction. A new high-rise building proposed in LA faces much more challenges to break ground compared to in Houston.
@@robertbonds6680 Saying Houston is bigger than LA is the same as saying Jacksonville is bigger than Houston lol. LA is way more urban densed than Houston is.
Huge!!! Classic example where a city’s downtown doesn’t show the entire story. Ie Atlanta too. I will never disrespect Houston again. In Texas, its Houston, Austin, Dallas for me. I put Houston way ahead of Philly. Need to see a similar comparison with Miami and Atlanta.
I think that in the public light, Houston is usually somewhat underestimated. In terms of skyscrapers, Houston ranks fourth, behind New York, Chicago and Miami. It should be noted that Houston has taller buildings than cities like Miami, Dallas, Denver, Phoenix, Las Vegas or Seattle that tend to have more national attention.
@@benji4kdrones844 those cities have nice eye candy…and balanced profiles with good color and backdrops. I’d like to see Houston at like 5:30 pm in the fall.
@@IbelieveinJesusAmen rest assured that I will make a video like this, in Houston it would have to be in December or January to be able to see the different colors in the trees still with leaves.
I've flown over both cities and Atlanta isn't even in the same league. I've been to virtually all major cities and Miami is I think equally nice but in a different way. Houston has twice as many building over 35 stories as Ft. Worth and Dallas metro area combined. I was at a conference for the steel industry being held in Houston back in the 2000s and one of the executives told me that at that moment over 80% of all sky cranes were deployed in Houston on projects. You could look across the city and see crane after crane. This went on for a long time. BUT, they are the single worst overbuilt commercial real estate market in the US right now. There is no over a 25% vacancy in non-residential (i.e. business) towers, nearly twice the national average. They've recently started a number of new residential towers, so they may be on the verge of doing the same thing there. I've been here for 40 years--some things never change and one is "boom/bust" -"rinse/repeat."
Lack of zoning makes it possible. Dallas has zoning that restricts high-rises to certain areas. That’s why Dallas skyline now extends for over two miles consistently since they built more and more high-rises in Uptown Dallas.
People love to talk about our lack of public transit yet we have a train and bus system lol. Our train system is under 20 years old and we voted on it. We have a ways to go but we aren’t like the rest of America who has neither transit or roads being expanded
I want to live there and its my dream. The city has everything. I like to enjoy leiaure entertanment shpping and dining. I want to be amomg my asian people so i can enjoy ethnic food. Oh i want to try TexMex cusine. Can anyone give a lift?😢
I grew up in Houston. If only Houston had zoning. If only it had better public transportation. If only...blah blah, blah. And Houston continues to grow and to become like no other American city. Imagine what downtown would be like if The Texas Medical Center and Uptown were part of it, an enormous downtown.
No zoning put it in a total mess! Restrictions makes it even worst!!! They arent allowed to build certain buildings! With zoning, you can build whatever you want as long its in a proper zoning area. Restrictions doesnt let them build certain buildings!
No zoning laws is why our housing market avoided the 2008 and 2022 bubbles. And we voted on our light rail system, clearly you didn’t show up to that election
Thank you for showing houston has many more skyline districts than just downtown ❤
No problem Justin!! 👊🏼
Houston is a beautiful city its L.A sister without the mountains❤
Yeah it’s kind of similar to L.A.
Agreed
Used to live in downtown LA and even I get their skylines mixed up sometimes 🤣🤣
Does have potential
Not even a minute in, and this is my first watch. This is already the best video of Houston's buildings. Amazing job! 👏
Nice video showcasing the 4 main business centers of Houston: Downtown, Uptown Galleria, Greenway Plaza and TMC.
Appreciate it man, I tried to record the principal areas (Skyscrapers) of Houston!
Cool city. Nice footage 👍 big like from me!!!
Thanks man!! 🙏🏼
If Houston had decent public transportation: it would definitely be a World City.
Agree with you buddy, we need more metro lines for all around the city.
well the usa aren't exactly known for having good public transport lol

Great video! If all of Houston's skylines were one skyline, it'd be massive.
Absolutely agree with you!!
Why didn't go to that it's fifth biggest in the continental us
Need to go west of Uptown and look east. You can get most skylines in one shot.
I did it in another video and the view is wonderful!!
Beautiful.. 😍😍👍
Would love to see more Southern and Southwestern cities … Nashville, Austin, Atlanta, Miami, Phoenix, DFW, etc.

It is man!
Great job...covering Houston's CBDs, unlike most drone footage.
Much appreciated!
Could someone explain which districts of Houston were shown in this video? So far i could only make out downtown and the medical district.
Oh yeah, Uptown, Downtown, Texas Medical Center and River Oaks zone.
1:10-1:19 is that the medical district?
Yes Sr!!

Houston downtown is not denser that LA. Houston have way more undeveloped land than LA.
