Houston’s skyline is Texas’ best. I know that hurts Dallas’ feelings but they’ll get over it. If it weren’t for the green LED lights, what would Dallas have? And have y’all seen Houston’s downtown lit up for the Astros, 4th of July, Christmas, etc? We have LED lights too.
Agreed! Houston skyline is second to none and only getting better, Houston has multiple skyline with the Galleria and the Medical Center, I might add. 😅 No matter how many they just build for the heck of it in Austin or Dallas there is no comparison. 😂😂😂
I'm currently a Houston resident for 10 years. I was a resident of Dallas for 25 years and return monthly. There is no comparison, Dallas' skyline is much better, especially at night. Even Ft. Worth's is prettier. There seems to be a contingent of people in Houston, virulent haters of Dallas, who think it is tacky to light buildings at night just because Dallas does it so spectacularly. Houston has some great buildings that would look great lit up. Not the ridiculous Snoopy dog house light bulbs that adorn the tallest tower. You should go and visit.
I have been in Dallas many times, and it’s a beautiful city!! I think Downtown Dallas it’s smaller than the dimension of the City. But it’s great no doubt!
@@benji4kdrones844 I hate when people compare Houston to Dallas. We love Houston too, both cities are brother and sister. What makes downtown Dallas more beautiful is the fact that is is more colorful with neon lights and brand new modern buildings.
I'll chime in! lived in Austin for years. been to all big Texas cities. Houston's skyline is certainly the most imposing and feels the most "Huge City" vibe BUT after 5 pm Houston's downtown is quiet once all the office buildings close. Dallas feels much busier, buzzy, cosmopolitan. On another note, Austin's downtown is by far the most similar to a dense urban city environment people live and work in, akin to SF, Seattle (much smaller though). Dallas and Houston both have massive buildings with nothing in them afterhours. Dallas is more "happening" downtown but Houston has the more monolithic skyscrapers that make you say wow.
People be complaining abt how big And spread out Houston is But if u really look at it thts actually a good thing bcuz unlike cities such as Chicago nyc Atlanta && Miami where everything’s right up in your face which makes it easier to experience all there is to experience And in such a short amount of time tht becomes repetitive && unrelieved And at times kind of boring to have to experience the same exact places over and over again Whereas Houston is more like an easter egg hunt there’s always something new to discover I mean it seems like there’s always hidden gems stumbled upon daily So it’s quite impossible to experience all there is to experience in a short amount of time here or just anywhere in Texas overall,And honestly you could literally eat at a different restaurant every day in Houston for abt a year maybe longer And never have to revisit the same restaurants Same goes for our bars&& lounge’s And something else worth mentioning I know they say bigger isn’t always better But w/ Houston being a coastal city 51 miles from Galveston beach && 28 miles from sylvan beach it makes it alot easier to deposit lagoons within the city which is exactly wht they’ve done starting w/ LAGO mars And next up is HTXsurf which is wht their turning generation Park into a surfers paradise and the only one of its kind on earth sometime in 2025 not only giving Houston a beach like experience But also turning it into a major tourist attraction for surfers all across the globe So see sometimes bigger is better😎💁🏾♂️🌊
If the Transco Tower was to be in Downtown it would be even more impressive. Our Downtown is great! I’ve been too many other major cities and in my opinion only NYC and Chicago have better Downtown’s than we do. We need 2 more buildings over 1000 ft and I think that would complete the skyline 🏙️
NYC has more of a skyline than all Texas lol. Houston not even more than DT Brooklyn and LIC. There are areas like this 5 miles from Manhattan with better skylines than 95% of Texas. Chicago really isn't even close to NYC. NYC has a ton of buildings, I was 20 miles out on Long Island, they have a development on coast with like 20 16 story towers. This with a mega shopping center and 3 story townhouses for miles with random towers thrown in. It was on e. Nyc.
I think it makes the uptown skyline look magnificent. That’s our second biggest skyline in Houston. But you’re right, if all of uptown and downtown was one skyline Houston would look insanely urban lol
Wow. The 4th largest city in the country skyline literally puts me to sleep. And to make matters worse, this is a nighttime drone shot, which normally makes any skyline look awesome.🙁😩
@@MrColeone1 Yes but something like 90% of Miami's skyline is residential, and it looks big because it's just spread out along the coast. But ok yes it's still number 3 right after Chicago.
It only looks better at night because they put LED lights on everything lol. Besides that, the buildings are mostly blue glass and rectangular. No real height, no density, and the downtown is really spread apart and separated by freeways. If Houston put LEDs on their buildings, it would blow Dallas away, but because of strict FAA regulations due to Hobby airport being close to downtown they can't be as bright as Dallas. But there's no question which downtown is better. almost anyone outside of Dallas can agree Houston has the best downtown in Texas.
