The beauty of understsnding French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and obviously English witout watching the captions! Thanks God for that blessing! And the prayers!!! Man, so beautiful, true sincere and honest they are!
This scene is a serious work of art and I wonder whether all popes and cardinals were really hit by a similar thought and moved to such heart wrenching situation 🤔🥺🙆🏾♂️
His character, Gutierrez, is the heart of the show. He feels doubt, desire, he wants love and to be loved so badly. Cámara is so good at portraying all the conflicts inside Gutierrez. He's the most "human" out of all the main characters.
That Irish Cardinal who wanted to be sent to Hell, was likely referring to the Church-run Magdalene Laundries, mother and baby homes, and industrial schools in Ireland were so many were abused, abandoned, and died. Very well done series.
If you're going to tell a story tell the whole story. The magdalene laundries in Ireland were state institutions which served as half way houses for women who were referred from reform schools. ( prison for minors). They were operated usually by nuns. Many of the stories from magdalene laundries were of gratitude for having somewhere to go where there was food and a bed during desperate times.
@@Kitiwake Utter nonsense. They were prisons in all but name. Most gratitude was coerced gratitude and most people who were able to leave those hellish conditions were socially stigmatised by a corrupt society, church and successive governments
@@danprc4466 to dismiss someone using facts as "utter nonsense" strongly indicates a disagreeable character who only likes to argue and use strawman tactics. You have no factual basis to dismiss my statement. However, there is a official government report that substantiates mine.
Goddamn 9pm can't come soon enough!! What a beautiful scene, I love how each prays in their language yet everything feels so universal when we are reaching out to god.
You gotta love to hate that Voiello. He represents perfectly the establishment in the Vatican. With that being said, who will be brave enough to call himself Pius XIII in real life whenever the next Conclave is up? Or will we have a John Paul III instead? Hell, why not Peter II?
I would like a Pope who is not a Pope, who says "I AM THE ALPHA AND OMEGA. THE BEGINNING AND THE END. THE FIRST AND THE LAST. AND I HAVE RETURNED.....TO MY PEOPLE. GABRIEL, SOUND THE CALL. I AM JESUS CHRIST, SON OF GOD. NO MAN COMES TO THE FATHER BUT THROUGH ME."
Apu V never can happen. You have to be 1. Catholic, and 2. A man. Those can never be changed, the Petrine authority from God only exists for a man. Period
One day I asked to Jesus Christ how his enemies will done if they run out of business and their jobs. And He answered to me: Would be curious to see the Vatican and many other religious orders, run out of business...
Wish i could go back to two months ago when the only thing on my mind was watching the new pope
The beauty of understsnding French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and obviously English witout watching the captions! Thanks God for that blessing! And the prayers!!! Man, so beautiful, true sincere and honest they are!
this is why i love voiello. genuinely the funniest character on tv i love him so much
This scene is so heart wrenching.

Nice to see my mans Javier Cámara getting that international rep!! I love seeing fellow Spaniards out there

His Character is a piece of peace
He was superb. He played the character so beautifully.
every clip is little piece of art

what🤣🤣🤣
Yeah, i really liked that as well. And it shows them as regular, fallible people with their own demons and concerns.
So true
BLESSED BE HIS HOLY NAME
Voiello is the best hhhhh... Long live his eminensa Voiello....
He was eventually elected as Pope in the end.
Perhaps the most beautiful and meaningful scene in a series full of very beautifully done scenes.
Voiello really becomes more of a Bismarck or a Nixon figure in this season. Really hope we get a third
He was, a Third pope indead :)
''el joven papa'' es muy superior a ''el nuevo papa''. dodne se puede ver la serie completa ??
I would like a Pope who says, "Be not afraid."

bundesautobahn7 peter the second is the end times pope
I'd rather see another Alexander.
Sixtus the Sixth
Linus II
Pedro II
PODE SER QUE ELE POSSA SE CHAMAR DE PIO XIII OU DE
JOÃO PAULO III
Brilliant.. just brilliant :)
I would like a pope like Lenny
The power of prayer.
0:41 Oh! Brasil!
Actually catholic priests are among the happiest of people.
Of course they are 😅
Genius.
I think the American version of this scene has been cut down heavily?
What is the other version? I'd like to watch!
Don't be fooled if you have fire in your heart because your spirit feels it is then reply
I’m still the Pope

LMAO
Who is the homophobe/povery cardinal? And who plays him.
@Sanctus Paulus 1962 biggest mistake ever was allowing degenerates to infiltrate the church after vatican II
@Sanctus Paulus 1962 a Catholic who forgets the first value of Jesus
Don't know.
But his Pope is the best one
I would like a pope who is a woman

Apu V then you have a problem.
Pope Apu V
There is no problem with that. Hell yeah
Disgusting

@Deus Vult English is not my first language. Managing 5 of them, plus 4 programming languages... Sorry not being a genius like you... As well.
I pray for a pope that pays taxes and apologizes to the world for telling people that a god exists.
You’re such a loser. Not only in life but mindset.
What? Pays taxes to who? Vatican City is its own country, you want the Pope to pay taxes to the Vatican?
The Pope is the Head of his state, do you wish for him to give tribute to himself?
I can't understand a word.of this. I think they're praying to Santa 🎅 Claus.
