Great to see you two again (Christmas eve wow)... Enjoy your new adventures and keep us posted. I have seen many boaters make it there and get out of sailing. You could have stayed at all of the free anchorages at the Channel Islands and in Santa Barbara CA and had a great time even found some work etc... My wife and I had 2 pet dolphins that would get under the bow of our dinghy when we went fast and lift the bow up letting the dinghy push them. Amazing. I think they did not like your camera in the water so they moved back. We have great memories of our pet dolphins. They would jump up on their tails when they saw us coming in our dinghy and want to play for hours (at Santa Cruz Island off Santa Barbara CA USA). I have been right there in La Paz many times in my younger years (1980s and 1990s). Great place then. A hotel room on the beach (The San Bernardo) was $5 a night then the next yr it went up to $7.50 wow, what a huge jump I thought lol :-). I was on boats too and enjoyed the people and food the most. Baha is another world and do not think of themselves as Mexico, kind of like Texas here lol :-) So beautiful. All the best to both of you!

The new Texas is full of people form California now so, well, it only half feels like it is it's own country :-) 850 miles wide it is the size of a nation or two! The pet dolphins are some of our best memories and 6 yrs of sailing together = 356 1/4 great memories a yr :-)
Texans, ha ha. They do and they don't. Kinda like Californians who lot of time kept bringing up about seceding to form its own country. I will say this much, Texans seem to have more pride in their state then most and brag about how great it is (or was it sounds like per Mark).

I live here for the weather and sailing (before I became too ill to sail anymore so now it is just the weather and our family and of course the best memories of my life. Sadly we also live here where the dive boat fire on the dive boat "Conception" just happened killing over 30 people. I have been at the home of the owner of that business "Truth Aquatics" back in the 1980s and have been on those boats, even the Conception. Now I think many people will be too afraid to sleep below decks on them as it is far too hard to get out if there is a fire etc. The crew now thinks it might have been some sort of phone or vaping etc battery that may have caused the problem since everyone is charging everything at night but who knows.

Now for the question of the week that I have meant to ask but kept forgetting. What is the Metal Item Suspended just in fron to the Solar Panels at the 15:30 point of the Video? It looks like a box with multiple panels is it for Lightening Protection?
I think your asking about our radar detector. It should actually be up higher on the rigging but the previous owner lowered it to use it as a place to tie the man overboard pole.
Yes! It would be really nice to have one that isn't as loud. We keep it turned off most days, as the solar usually is more than enough but on heavy cloud days, we need it!

@@WaldeSailing it's running the east coast, just north of Jacksonville FL now. Not looking good for North and South Carolina, but we'll see. DORIAN sat as a CAT 5 over Abacos, Marsh Harbor and Freeport area for FORTY EIGHT HOURS. ZERO FORWARD MOVEMENT AND CAT 5 !!! Bahamas has tremendous damage, and they are just now starting to get helicopters into the area.

Do you ever get driven crazy by the constant racket from the wind generator?
