    I didn't understand having a mahram until my brother wheeled me around a 31hr travel from Istanbul to Sydney because I had MAD food poisoning. So grateful for him. Plus as a female its great help having a man help with your bags, keep you safe + you get to put your brain on sleep mode and just follow like a duckling

      @@DerryK67No a Muslim is a brother of another Muslim, so we are basically family and this is sweet. Its not rude and invasive depending with your culture. When I was on Turkey with my daughter they would pick her up and kiss her ! It’s perfectly normal, but that never happens in london, especially for men to pick a lil girl and kiss her.

    Took my 10 weeks old two weeks ago to Umrah. It went so much better than I had anticipated Alhumdulilah.
    Baby wearing helps as well as staying hotels near the masjid ( if you are able as they can be expensive!)
    Stroller is a must! ( both masjid are huge and often times strollers are allowed in courtyards and sometimes inside the mosque) plus if you want to go inside the malls and go out to eat etc

    Seriously depends on the baby. Wouldn't have been an option for me as my little one had Silent reflux and sensitive temperament. Would have been a disaster.
    So I recommend go before children.
    Also child trafficking is a huge issue in Saudia. People naive and drop their guard. And loads of kids go missing.
    A remember this mother from Morocco took her 3 year old. He was taken and she never saw him again.
    I know grown women who were nearly kidnapped.
    So yes you need a Mariam - Wajib
    But also don't be naive people their are not all good. Even in the Harraam - lots of Harram takes place.
    I witnessed a lot of abuse not only between pilgrims but also security rough handling and pushing old people about.
    It was an experience and eye opening journey for me.

    I don’t understand this obsession with how long it takes to perform an umrah, and trying to complete them quickly. This is the whole reason we make this journey, to perform umrah. Surely it’s about quality, not quantity. Perform your umrah with ease and take your time, make a long dua at all the recommended places in between such as Safa and Marwa, during tawaf make dua constantly, take yourself mentally into the spiritual realm and you won’t even know where the time went

    • @LOUMED
      @LOUMED  Год назад +4

      Having a 3 month old child on our last day is the reason we performed it as quick as we can because if we left it any later the swarms of people wouldn’t allow us to finish it meaning we would’ve not been able to do one last umrah before we left 🤍 the Sahaba would jog around the kabah and sometimes even swim due to the flooding of the kabah and jog in the safa and marwa 🤍 hope this explains it to you

    Could you clarify if you paid 500 euros per night or in total you spent 500 euros on hotels for 2 weeks? I personally was so shocked at the prices of hotels and pretty much any 3-5 star hotel was for $200 usd a night or more.
    As a side note, I also agree about going on your own being an overall better experience, especially with kids. However, there are definitely perks for being with a group. There is usually a tour guide with islamic information to share and their previous experiences also are beneficial for people who have never done umrah before.
