Thank you very much for reviving my faith into car RUclipsr not doing everything they do for the clout. Thanks man. Gl with your project! It looks sick!
Damn man jealous of the non rusted on hardware. Up in New England you also need to purchase all new hardware because the old ones are definitely getting cut off.
Buddy of mine has had a 98 BMW in his garage for,..prolly 7 - 8 years. He tried fixing the blown head gasket and completely tore it apart. He was too cheap to buy the repair manual, and he didn't label anything. Sadly, that car will probably never see the road ever again.
That thing is going to look almost exactly like mine. Granted I got the cheapo front bumper on mine, but it looks pretty close minus the lip. Also I went with corsa for the exhaust. It sounds awesome.
exhaust size depends on engine output. unless you have the mods and a power output that require greater flow than the stock exhaust, you have a chance of losing power when changing exhaust, this is espescially true of modern cars. this is due to the the size of the exhaust having a direct effect on the sacenging effect, which creates steady constant and speedy flow. without a scavenging effect, your exhaust will create vacuums and high pressure pockets, resulting in build ups and back pressure, which in turn all lead to lowered performance.
those wheels are the best looking hand down i had the set on my 2008 7 series i think those wheels were made in Italy if i remember and they're expensive af now
just a side-note: the stock exhaust that was removed was NOT an M3 exhaust, as both the 3.0 and 3.2l E36 M3 had fully round ends with the right pipe being a bit longer than the left one. This exhaust here has the shaped ends, which was the stock exhaust of the 323i/325i/328i. (source: I owned E36's in the 90's)
I daily drive 2 newer Lexus F-sports.. but would probably prefer a late 90s 3 series BMW, doesn't even need the M3 motor. I miss the basic style, function and repair of a 90s car.
Yo sorry but on a naturally aspirated car, the exhaust diameter doesn’t matter that much as dyno results on some german channel have shown, and if it’s too big some engines tend to actually loose power cause if i remember right it got something to do with back pressure for a smooth run of the engine or so.
No exhaust is worth $1000 to me unless it includes titanium. I built my exhaust in my backyard with my dad using his 40 year old welder and it sounds insane, it’s amazing. Half of my exhaust was reusable 3 inch piping already so ended up using maybe $10 of 3 inch truck exhaust pipe from the junkyard and a $50 flowmaster Flowfx muffler
Good, never buy anything custom then. If I were to weld a custom exhaust for any car. Min 2k for stainless with back purge. Min 4k for titanium. You can keep your Flowmaster dog shit.

For a second I thought you had like the largest wheel spacers that exist with a mean camber and was about to cry😂
I had to look twice, I'm glad it's not

Taco?! You building cars now?😅
After finally installing your stainless exhaust .. wipe everything with alcohol . If not any dirt and oil from your skin will burn into the surface
BMW.. make sure it leaks all kinds of fluids.. or it will never run. And remove blinkers or it will cause distress among other street users.
don't worry about the exhaust falling on your head, worry about the whole ass car falling on your head with holding it up with Jack's
you can clearly see 2 types of jack stands in use throughout the video lol
U gotta measure inner diameter not outer 😂😂😂, u got the calipers and everything my guy 😭 So close to being right
I wish I can mod my car like this in California
And here I am, looking at the same BMWs here in Belarus, costing at least two and a half grand... And on average it costs 5.9k.
and there me saving up for a front windshield for 5 months
1000 dollars for a axle back, make a full custom for 300 and u will have a even more unique sound
bolts under the hood are never a problem. bmws leaks to much oil for them to get rusty. that's why they give it a belly pan with a diaper on it.
Cool vid bro but this is the 301 comment I missed it :(
only oem is the right way but you do you , have fun with it
just open the door and connect a battery to wires from the motor inside of the door panel roll down the window then you will be good to go
motor is dead :(
